Representation in The Division

Something I really like about the first Division game is, for lack of better terms, how well integrated the representation of LGBT folks is. It isn't shoved in your face like it's trying to sell the game on it, but it's part of the world and baked into a lot of the worldbuilding. You see it a lot in the audio logs, be it a National Guardsman telling her wife that she's being sent into NYC, or a man complaining to his partner about being sent in, or the clearest example of a woman coming out to her mother on the phone in the face of the crisis. You also see it in one of the central characters, Doctor Jessica Kandel, who's a virologist in charge of the Medical Wing of the Base of Operations and likely all JTF Medical Personnel, whose ex-wife is directly tied into one of the side-quests as she asks you to find her. I ain't LGBT myself but know a lot of folks who are, and its good to see this sort of representation. Thank you for reading my half-baked unedited rant.
