The Book Of Yokei Godneu - Tumblr Posts

Seraphina: the mysterious goddess how you encounter at the start of your adventure in yokei godneu, how has a habit of checking in on you and the party throughout your adventure, not to be confused with the seraphina of Disgaea, I created her name without knowing about the Disgaea seraphina. Seraphina is an angelic goddess, how watches over the adventure, and is the one how created the light stones in the 1st place, granting the party powers as a result of them collecting them. She is meet during the intro cutscene and the tutorial area of yokei godneu, asking the player to identify themselves, before then acting as the big good of yokei godneu, and keeping the party on track to retrieve the light stones, so they don’t end up in the hands of evil people. Sarcastic sassy, and impatience, as ever despite being a kind goddess, she always does mean good for pheron, even if her methods are dubious, she is still very much lawful good.
More info about yokei godneu
In yokei godneu, you are the narrator, instead of the standard naming and identifying the protagonist, but you will reveal themselves to the party at some point. Some characters in yokei Godneu do know about your existence in the game, and will talk to you, where you will need to respond, and they will be able to mess with the fourth wall. The main protagonist and the player are outright stated to be sperate characters, and that you aren’t controlling them or the rest of the party, but you are instead helping them.
In yokei godneu, they are barely any humans on the planet of pheron, so most of the characters are not humans, and are made up mostly of the yokai, basically the monsters, with humans being not natural to pheron. However, there is a human world in yokei godneu, as well as pheron and the rest of the joyous nexus, connected to the joyous nexus by the magic book named yokei Godneu. I will explain more about the book of yokei godneu, if you guys ask about it, as it is rather important to the lore of yokei godneu.
Allow me to introduce Alice/alex, how I would say are the player character of yokei godneu, as the player is not actually in the action of yokei godneu. You are alice if you choose female, and Alex if you choose male, with you being able to choose between either one are agender. They aren’t seen during the main story of yokei godneu, acting as the voice of the player, how helps the group and the narrator of yokei godneu. Major Spoliers for the designs of the player characters/narrators are below, this is important to the plot of yokei Godneu, and reveals a major plot piont in yokei Godneu: to be a hero, and that you don’t know about until one of the last areas, so don’t look below

They are the ones reading the book of yokei godneu in the real world, allowing them to act as the narrator to the party, working at a book store, discovering the crystaline book, known as yokei godneu. When the final boss of yokei godneu is defeated, during the credit cutscene, the party discovers the copy of yokei Godneu in the book itself, and meet up with Alice/alex, leading into the postgame exclusive area, and the dlc areas of yokei godneu.
This is how time works in the joyous nexus, the place where yokei godneu: to be an hero takes place in, compared to how time works on earth.
How time works in the joyous nexus compared to the time in our world.
Time inside the joyous necus is faster than the time that takes place outside the book of yokei godneu, thanks to two main things about it.
1st off: the inuniverse calendar is based off the lunar cycles, making it slightly off with pheron having 364 days, spilt up into 13 months with 28 days each, while earth takes 365.25 days to rotate around the sun.
2nd: while everyone inside the joyous nexus will experience time normally due to the magical effects, leaving it will still have it be the same day after multiple days, but a year inside the joyous nexus will cause multiple days to pass outside it.
An r estimate for how fast time passes in the joyous nexus is around 24x the speed of earth time, so 1 day=an hour, to around 60x the speed of regular time aka a day=24 minutes, but those inside the joyous nexus wouldn’t realize that time in the joyous nexus is faster than outside it.

Slimes Yokei Godneu
These will be used in yokei godneu: to be a hero, so please keep that in mind
Slimes are a homogeneous, gender-fluid formless alien species in yokei godneu, made of at least 1 slime core, a sphere of magic that acts as their primary organ, and is acidic to the touch, and of course, the slime itself, a semi liquid like substance similar to jello, or jelly, that absorbs any liquids and sugar, and can dry out, but can be controlled by the slime.
Slimes can appear in a variety of appearances, blobs, square cubes, balls, a humanoid appearence, and other werid shapes and appearences, due to their rather versatile body, this makes them very hard to hit with Melee attacks, but magic proves to be a weakness of theirs, especially magic that effects the slime’s temperature.
Alongside that their shape shifting does have limits depending on how much slime they have, the more slime cores a slime has, the more slime that will make up their body, and the more slime that they have, the more freedom they have, and the more stability their form will have, so a slime with only 1 slime core is pretty limited, while a royal slime has a ton of freedom.
Slimes are homogenous, meaning they can breed with any other species regardless of gender, though, the result of a slime breeding with another species will usually be a slime with traits of both parents, or a slime hybrid.
When slimes reproduce, they will touch each other, with their slime cores moving to the spot they touch, which they will create the start of a slime core, at least one slime core with the mixed color of the parent slimes, will manifest in one of the slimes, and then spilt off them after a few day, forming a new slime, this isn’t perfered as slimes are rather weak to magical attacks, something common in pheron, so usually, reproduction is done by a royal slime.
Slimes start off in their standard blob form with a single slime core, At this piont a slime is basically barely sentience and can’t really see, and will need to eat more to gain more slime cores.
Once, they have a total of three slime cores, thus giving them the ability to see, a slime will start growing up on its own producing slime to make the slime bigger and bigger, and they start getting curious and want to learn.
At a certain point, slimes will choose to take on a humanoid form, it is not sure why they do those, since they do it even on their home planet, but it seems they prefer female or androgynous forms, compared to male forms.
The more slime cores a slime has the smart they are, and when a slime has enough slime colors, their original slime core will transform into a golden slime crown and move to their head, this signifies a slime has matured internally a royal slime.
Royal slimes can be form through slimes fusing together, or a slime getting old enough, but as soon as this happens, they will start producing slimes without the need of a partner, as a result, due to the connotations of this to most sentient species, royal slimes often go by the name, queen or princess slime.
Slimes born to a royal slime always have the same color core as their royal slime, but can have different colors, and are loyal to their parent, soon forming their own slime kingdom for their royal slime parent, and taking roles in that kingdom.
queen slimes that are the result of slime fusion however don’t usually produce slimes, as slime fusion is usually temporary for any slimes that wish to become one, but it can be permanent if they wish it to be such.
slime fusion is basically the result of at least a couple of slimes basically fully touching and basically merging with each other, using this slimes can skip stages in their life cycle, and allows for increased durability, at the exchange that it is usually temporary, and slimes can be spilt form each other.
Slimes are a primarily peaceful species, known for being the dumbest intelligent species that isn’t an undead, slimes can be easily frightened, leading to them fleeing or attacking people they encounter, but they barely mean any harm, though, people tend to get worried if a slime kingdom made by a slime queen gets too big, just in case.
Slimes can absorb any liquid into their slime, but water is their perfered as they must stay hydrated or they will dry out, and when absorbing potions, they granting their slime those effects, and its thanks to their regenerating slime produced by the slimes cores that the advanced level potions are able to be crafted in the 1st place.
As people have figured out, slimes act a bit like yokai, despite being an alien species, as any sort of liquid that goes under the monsterization process becomes a slime of that liquid, but yet their amorphous body plan means they aren’t a yokai, as yokai have a stable form.
The tutorial area/prologue Of yokei godneu: welcome to welcome island
The tutorial is the only area where Gofurias does not appear to the party in the main story, as the light stone plot line doesn’t start, until you leave the tutorial area, acting as a simple introduction without any real story presence, basically acting as the calm before the storm
The light stones being stolen would be mentioned, so you have a goal in mind, but gofurias and his allies wouldn’t appear in the tutorial area, plus there also isn’t any light stone in this area too.
As for the area, it is welcome island, an island outside the continent of pheron, it’s a rather peaceful island compared to the more wild continent of terranum, that most of the game takes place on, consisting of a peaceful town and marketplace for all adventures.
Welcome island acts as a little checkpiont, before anybody how wishes to be an adventurer arrives on pheron, as the only safe way to get to terranum is through taking a boat there, so sailors often dropped off at welcome island and made it a community of sorts.
Enemies don’t appear through the 1st half of welcome island, with the tutorial taking place, before a quick miniboss fight against a training dummy, to test the player, after the training dummy is beaten, weak low teir enemies will start appearing.
Since there is no light stone on welcome island, the major boss fight instead occurs, due to the small party you have needing to move onto terranum proper, to get the light stones back form gofurias and his allies, on the only boat that is docked at the time, how has a grumpy old sailor, how doesn’t want the party to go to terranum, cause they just docked and fueled their ship, and was planning to stay on welcome island for a while.
No matter what, you would basically gain a skill in either before you get the 1st light stone, if the 2nd option is the one chosen, these skills use cp, cp is shared by the whole party, meaning it can be used by everyone in it, and must be charged up, with each light stone skill using a different amount of CP.

Boss battle idea: yokei godneu.
you see, my family use to have a pool at our old house, and had one of those cylindrical foam water guns, it kinda reminded me of an oni’s kanabo when extended, so that’s where the idea started forming.
So a swimming oni boss was formed, this boss would be fought inside a pool, or reservoir of water, in the boss battle, the oni would use the specially modified kanabo and the water around them to their advantage.
They would guard when not attacking, any attack they would take would push them back but do scratch damage, but eventually, after enough attacks, since pools get deeper the more you move away form the stairs, they would lose their footing, and become vulnerable.
However as damage is dealt, the oni boss will become bigger at specfic points in their healthbar, decreasing the damage you do, requiring more attacks to get them vulnerable, and also changing their attacks, to be more dangerous and powerful.

For Cirno day 2024, allow me to introduce you to Crinsei: the snow fairy, shown much bigger than she would be, she is around the same size as tami. She is my take on Cirno or Draco as the recurring miniboss/weakest enemy for my game idea, yokei Godneu: to be a hero. Crinsei is a fairy how has the power over snow, a bit of a trickster, she likes to hide inside snowman replicas of herself she creates, and having snowball fights. She is a lover of all sorts of frozen treats, and has a big sweet tooth, ice pops, popsicles, shaved ice, ice cream, you name it, and she can’t even get a brain freeze due to being a fairy. She was born on the 9th of September 9 ac, making her 2015 years old by today, and she is trying to become stronger to get around the stigema against fairies being rather weak, and maybe learn more elements too. You can ask her anything you want of course, since it’s her birthday, all characters in the bio sheet can be asked.
If you get them until you get the final boss, confronting the final boss will be the main objective of the final area. If you get them form all the bosses, then you will finish the collection once the final boss is beaten. And if you get them for specfic objectives, then completing each area and beating the major boss will still give you one of them. Please put your ideas in the comments if you have any of course, but don’t just click it, cause that isn’t an option unless you actually have an idea.

The book of yokei Godneu
Kitsunes in yokei godneu, this is part of my headcanons for yokei godneu to be a hero
A species of fox yokei, known commonly by locals as multi tailed foxes, their most common known appearance is a strange colored fox with nine tails, with females being more common than the males of the species, but often take on a humanoid form
Females tend to take on a more humanoid appearance than the males, which are more like anthro foxes are, and are also smarter than the males too, who are stronger but dumber than the females.
They gain a tail every 125 years until they have 9 at 1000 years old, which is when they are fully grown and can’t die form old age, they are very strong in all types of magic, and physical combat, but can gain more than nine, though it is rare.
Kitsunes are some of the yokai with rather varying power levels, they can be rather decent to close to god like, and tend to be rather competive and haughty as they get more and more tails.
They often serve under the god/goddess inari no okami, but kitsunes have been found outside of their control, and have even become leaders of yokai kind at some pionts.
They have a bad rivalry with vampires due to the blood of a nine tailed kitsune being on par with the blood of a divine, the two species hate each other, as vampires tend to be more villainous than the kitsune

I’ve been thinking their angelic wings might be fake and just an accessory. I will be holding more polls if certain ones are chosen, or this proves to do bad.
