His eyes seem darker in the dark or when he’s looking at Crosshair, but lighter when he looks at Omega?? Or the sun? I don’t know.
Am I stupid or are hunters eyes a different(?) lighter(?) color this episode??
Also, when Hunter is looking at Crosshair only the skull half of his face is in the shadows, and when they start arguing later, his face is completely engulfed in Crosshair’s shadow. But when they make up, they both face towards the sun shadows behind them.
Perhaps symbolizing they've only been half of Clone Force 99 with Crosshair’s shadow looming over them, but now that they've made up they can look towards better times.
Oh my gosh...how did I not notice this??
Y'all remember the lighting Joel Aron (one of the guys that makes the Bad Batch) mentioned regarding Hunter and Crosshair? How symbolic it was gonna be?

The shadows on their faces look like each other's tattoos!!!! 😭💜
I can't even with this!! I'll never recover 😭💜 I love this so much!!
Also that thing he did, placing explosives on their ship to create a distraction, is what Hunter did in Episode 1 Season 2

Please forgive me, I'm throwing more ingredients into the CX-2 pot. 😆
We see the operative use explosives (Wrecker), a sniper rifle (Crosshair), a knife (Hunter), and computer gadgets and overall limber acrobatic stealth and intelligence (Tech). One could also say ARC Trooper strategy/possible mechanical limbs (Echo).
Do you think that means anything? Is this operative an amalgamation of all of them? Is Clone Force 99 fighting...themselves? 🤔 Or IF it's Tech, he has just incorporated all of his experience and knowledge to become one single super soldier? Has his DNA been enhanced by Hemlock who surely must have the CF99 genetic material/info leftover from the Kaminoans? What about Omega? She's "part of the squad, too." If we get to a point where CX-2 realizes who he really is and that happens to be Tech - emotion/feeling (Omega).
PS: I know a lot of people associate that knife with Cody, But I think it's more associated with Hunter. *shrug*
+Cad Band could be the one hunting Omega, like, because he has a long history of ‘dealing’ with Jedi, why not hire this guy to hunt down force-users?
This weeks episode theories ✨ 🧠
So we have two ✌️ episodes this week!!! “Identity crisis” and “point of no return”. Let’s start with Identity crisis!!!
Identity crisis:
More than likely this is an omega centered episode (based on what she experienced with Ventress). Even though omega is told she isn’t force sensitive I think she finds out that she is. I think it would be interesting if she finds this out in a dream or through a force vision experience (like Luke on Dagobah where he fought the vision of Vader). I do think either Cad Bane or CX-2 (or both) show up as a prelude to the empires presence on pabu. Aka we see omega struggling with her identity and at the same time we see cad bane and CX-2 infiltrate the island. The bad batch have all their attention on fighting off bane that CX-2 is able to do whatever he wants and HE is the one that calls in the empire.

In the trailer I notice that CX is approaching the storm troopers and is not WITH them, that’s why I think he infiltrates the island alone. The house cad bane is in looks kind of like pabu idk. 🤷. Anyway, I do think the empire invading pabu is a cliff hanger at the end of this episode.
I am curious on which CX clone this is. It’s more then likely CX-2 but it’s obvious that there are more then 3 shadow clones. I don’t think CX-2 would return to the empire after failing a mission, I think he would be immediately terminated if he did. I think CX-2 being on pabu is him completing the mission. I think the shadow clones pursue a mission until it’s completed or they die trying.
It would have been interesting if the injuries and fall CX-2 sustained in the other episodes undid his brainwashing or idk jogged a few brain cells for him to start questioning his purpose and who he was and THAT would be the identity crisis. (Cause I’m like 80% certain it’s tech after the early reviews responses lolllll) buuuut I doubt. I think it could be explored in the future tho.
Point of no return:
This whole episode is the invasion of pabu and omega getting taken. I think the “point of no return” is the bad batch joining Rex on his clone rebellion group. It makes sense to me. Like once they join that group there is no going back, they are 100% enemies to the empire. (They always have been in some way, but not to this extent being actual rebels) I say this because the only way they’re going to find tantis is if they work together with Rex/echo and the other clones. They’ll need help and Rex and echo need help too. That’s why we see the batch going on missions. Though I also suspect that phee is working with them on finding all the pabu civilians??? I think they rescue Shep in the trailer.
I am highly HIGHLY suspicious of whether tech comes back or not. I think the most popular topic of discussion at the moment is whether tech is alive or not and some of the reviewers said that many of us would be very happy. Also I think the yellow heart is a little wink I’m not sure.

If tech does come back I’m assuming it’s closer to the end of the show. Like OOO SURPRISE I’m no longer brainwashed and hemlock didn’t factor that into his evil plans and now I can help omega escape from the inside muwhahaha iddddkkkk I went from being 50% about him returning to 80%!!!
I’m bringing this back but I really do think he will cause it’s The bad batch!!! The theme song has hardly been played and when it has it’s been fractured (since tech and echo are gone) I firmly believe that the finale will be the gang all together! THE CALVARY HAS ARRIVED!!!! IDK I’m delusional
Tech Returns?
So yeah, people are freaking out because there's only 4 more episodes left in The Bad Batch :( but more importantly is that enough time to bring Tech back?
If the answer is yes you might be delusional. Emphasis on might, it could happen, and Tech can live happily ever after with Phee but honestly, when has romance ever worked out in Star Wars?
If the answer is no then listen to this: Crosshair had two season’s worth of redemption, the tale of the brother who willingly killed and burned down innocents for the Empire of His own free will. If Tech is CX-2 then he could be the reverse of Crosshair, the brother stripped of personality who willingly(?) kills and burns down innocents for the Empire of free will(?) but instead of redemption they never get him back. Again they have to live with having their brother trying to kill them knowing they can't get him back.
I have a theory. Throughout the series, we’ve seen Omega interact with pretty much only destructive animals(those weird dogs in season 1 count), like Muchi the Rancor, and now Batcher the Lurca hound. Obviously, Omega isn't force-sensitive like Jedi are force-sensitive but maybe she has a connection to only dangerous animals. Like maybe awakening the squid thingy was actually her fault because she just attracts only dangerous animals.
So here's my weird theory, Omega Will ‘befriend’ the Zillo Beast in order to escape Tantiss for the second time. I mean, The Zillo beast as a distraction would be boss.

OK ok ok ok so I thought of this thing just listen, so first, crosshair left his CT number if CT-9904 *4* remember that, then echo (sort of) left HIS CT number is CT-1409 *4* AGAIN! And now, listen TWO people left TWO "RULE OF TWO REMEMBER THIS" and then echo comes back for a little so now theirs only one gone but who dies next? TECH! TECHS CT NUMBER IS CT-9903!!!! *3*!!!! 4,4,3! and now theres two gone again, then Omega is lost, (idk what omegas CT number is but a lot of people thought it was C-2, as in clone two, boba/alpha is clone one/C-1) and she's gone next 4,4,3,2!!!! And then omega and crosshair get beck so theres 1 gone, so they keep echo out so he's "gone" so 2 again technically _BUT_ WHATS WRECKERS CT NUMBER?!?!?!?. 9902!!!!!!!!!!!! Wreckers gonna die next! The pattern was 4,4,3,2 and their probably gonna bring echo back to help save omega so there's 1 gone, and the next number in line is Wrecker!!!! 😭😭😭😭 And with the rule of two rule, Wreckers probably going to die trying to rescue Omega and they fail! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Anyway, this is just a theory I got when taking a shower so it's probably just my brain wanting me to be sad but you never know 🤷♂️🤷♀️
TBB SEASON 3 SPOILERS
So yeah, we don't know how the Bad Batch will end all we know(I think) is that the ending is ‘bittersweet’ (that's what I've heard don't hate me) but I just got a new idea and It could shake out for bad or worse.
Season 1 ended with Omega risking her skin—like everyone else has for her—for someone[AZI-3] that she cares about but ultimately fails due to circumstances(?) and her own weakness, she has to be saved by Crosshair.
Season 2 ended with Omega being helpless once again and unable to save a person she cares about[Tech] due to circumstances.
So that makes every season finale a loss for them. Every. Single. One. And that's discluding Omega’s kidnapping and the fall of Tipoca city.
So will this be the season that breaks the pattern? Or the one that fulfills it?
The hopeful ending is that finally, Omega can break this cycle and not be helpless like she has been in season 3 and finally be able to save the people she cares about.
But this isn't bittersweet. I think the bitter part will be Omega finally being independent and leaving The Batch.
The bad ending I think would be the cycle continuing and Omega is unable to save the person she cares about [Tech?]. I don't think this one will happen(maybe it's just naive hope).
These are just my thoughts, but I'm still worried.
Been wondering this for a while now too. I'm really excited for next week's episode because we don't know what's happening next. Probably more Tantiss content maybe Hunter’s mission with Rampart but ultimately, will CX-2 return? And when will Crosshair finally open up?
I've been thinking about the whole Crosshair and CX-2 situation, and I am beginning to wonder if, should CX-2 prove to be Tech, Crosshair didn't, in fact, know.
In an interview before the premiere, Michelle Ang mentioned Crosshair getting to see forgiveness and real love in the face of a great betrayal. Now, Crosshair's great betrayals are long past. So, is this some NEW betrayal? Is it someone ELSE betraying and being forgiven? CX-Tech fits the later very neatly, however, there might be another option: that Crosshair DOES know CX-2 is Tech, and has been not telling everyone because he blames himself for it happening and is sure they'll all turn him out the second they discover it (Omega included).
I'm of two minds here.
Crosshair didn't know, because Tech was put straight into conversion from medical care, and so Crosshair never saw him.
Crosshair DOES know, and feels black-hole sized guilt about it to the point where he can't bring himself to tell anyone.
In the #2 bucket goes a few things:
We see, repeatedly, that Crosshair isn't saying everything about Tantiss. This is as true for Hunter (the person always mentioning this) as it is for us, as our POV on Tantiss was almost exclusively Omega. Hunter knows Crosshair hasn't told them everything, and isn't going to push him except in specific instances where it really woulda been nice to know.
We do know that the CX conditioning is bad. Like, really bad, bad enough that wiping out your identity--not just the chip but like, you, yourself--is part of it. Or, so Crosshair says (and Tech in S2), though of course the truth of that might be more complex. This is reason enough for him to not talk about things. Except...
When Rex and Howzer explain they have a CX in custody Crosshair is immediately spooked. Then he's even MORE upset when he sees who it is. Or is it because of who it isn't?
If he knew CX-2 was Tech, and sees CX-1, he knows there is only one other CX they're sending after them, and the absolute last thing he would want is for them to have to kill Tech to get away. Or worse, kill the person who used to be Tech and can't be reclaimed (from his POV). Either way, from his POV, it is all bad news that CX-2 is inbound.
And as much as I feel Cross just isn't a hand to hand badass, at the end of his one on one with CX-2, he is clearly giving up. Everything CX-2 is saying is battering him emotionally and dousing the fight in him. Which makes a lot of sense, if he knows it's Tech.
For #1, well, the explanation is much simpler: we, and Omega and Crosshair, never see Tech in CX conditioning because he was in a bacta tank for part of it and then into a pod for the rest. He might have even converted quickly if we're to assume he had amnesia from the fall. (I suspect, should he prove to be CX-2, we won't get an explanation for this.) This actually would give Omega AND Crosshair some severe guilt, realizing when they escaped they left Tech on Tantiss in Hemlock's not-so-stellar care. It makes sense Crosshair would never want to go back--the conditioning sounds pretty awful. But then his reaction to CX-1 is a little less clear; we know there aren't very many CXes at this point, so why is THIS one such a concern to him? He just appears to be a reg. And CX-1's use of 'brother' is also very pointed. Which would make sense if CX-2 is Tech, who would have referred to Crosshair as his brother...
Anyways. We'll see if this pans out. I'd considered this might be the case even as I was like 'are we really doing that', and while I'm not a fan of this plot in the overall, like a cat being dragged outside on a harness for some enrichment I can grudgingly accept it. Mostly.
The only reaction I can have to this is, Oh Crack. I researched what a split diopter is online too, now I'm just more worried, look:

If you didn't want to read all that, it's to create drama by having the world around the character blur out and focus mostly on them to create drama and to emphasize the character’s reaction to an event or underline their emotional state as the scene unfolds. Since Omega is the main focus in this show and the poster is giving everyone bad vibes(the Hunter’s helmet one) I can guess a lot of bad things.
It's Omega’s reaction to Hunter’s death. Maybe he self-sacrifices for her maybe when he dies the blood is blurred out like the strawberry picture, maybe it's Tech revealed to be CX-2 coupled with Hunter’s death.
It's Omega’s reaction to Tech(I don't think this one is likely)
It's Crosshair’s reaction to being in a specific place in Tantiss, maybe he gets a panic attack, maybe he sees evil Tech and knows it's partially his fault.
It's a shot focused on Crosshair trying to make the Shot, the one he’s been trying to make since the beginning of S3, like a ricochet one.
This clue really only offers speculation for very bad news. At least for me.

This is so cool.
WAIT
TBB SEASON 3 FINALE SPOILERS
Omega said ‘Keep an eye on Wrecker and Crosshair…” not “keep an eye on Wrecker, Crosshair and Echo”
If my guessing is correct, the time when the Rebellion needs pilots in Rebels is after Old Man Rex is recruited which means the Clone Rebellion is over. Which means Echo never came home.
Echo who deserved rest and peace but chose to help, is the one who didn't make it.
I’d hope that I'm wrong but I don't think I am.
