Lee Dong Wook & Wi Ha Joon team or Lee Dong Wook & Kim Bum -the fox brother team? 😂

I like both series, bad and crazy with this chaotic duo, great storyline, plot twists and it's really action packed.

While the Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938, it really focused on the brotherhood of Lee Yeon (Dong Wook) & Lee Rang (Kim Bum).

Both series are 12 episodes, hoping there will be a Season 3 for both 🙂

91. Tale of the Nine-tailed 1938

Firstly, I think this season can be watched in isolation as the relevant events of the last season are mentioned so everyone is caught up. And I'm listing this as a seperate show as it is everywhere I have come across it.

The first few episodes were my favourite, it was peak comedy and I liked how each episode revolved around a new supernatural being. The first few episodes felt like a sitcom but I am not complaining, it was hilarious. Then as the show progressed there were a few episodes that felt like horror (which I always avoid 🙈) I couldn't stop watching after the one episode ended with the corner game, I would have had nightmares!

It was interesting how so many genres were put into these 12 episodes and each was done so well.

What I liked: the BROMANCES. So many bromances and it definitely stole the show for me. I also loved Rang's romance with the mermaid. They were adorable together 🥰🥰

I felt as though Lee Dong Wook brought alot of his own personality into Yeon's character this season which made him much funnier than the last season.

I also liked the relationship between the 3 mountain Gods when they were kids. The flashbacks were cute. Surprisingly I was also interested in the Korea/Japan storyline.

Also, Kim Beom was SO good. I really went through every emotion he felt in this season.

What I didn't like: Moo-young's character. I just wasn't feeling it. His whole storyline felt boring to me, even though it was a major part of the plot. Everytime he showed up on screen with his broody face I was bored. His motivation for his actions, the way in which he went about his plans... it wasn't impressive. Getting these dangerous creatures released only to end up fighting against them and putting himself in danger ... I don't get it. And he saw his brother trying to kill him. He knew why Yeon killed him but was holding a grudge against the person that saved your life...🤷🤷

The last 2 episodes were rushed as usual but I was satisfied with the ending.

I am recommending this show. It's every fantasy fan's dream but expect there to be loose ends but I recall a 3rd season was announced along with the 2nd.
