You took a deep breath as you got out of the car.

The air smelled like fresh flowers and petrichor still, from the storm two days ago. Now the sky was blue as it could get. The soft blow of the wind and the low heat sun in your skin was the perfect combination to make this day even more perfect.

You didn’t even hear Seonghwa moving to get the basket and blanket out of the trunk until he stood right beside you.

You smiled as you felt his calming presence. His perfume could easily mix him well with all the scenery, and it’d be like he belonged there.

“Ready?”, he asked in a whisper as his hands held yours in a light grip.

You nodded and you both walked through the field of flowers until you found a nice spot closer to the trees.

“Doesn’t it feel like our first date all over again?”, you said as you both walked side by side.

You really thought you were free from teasing, it was a special day nonetheless. You kind of deserved it, right? Well, that was your first mistake.

“Do I still make you that nervous?”, he asked with a smug smile in his pretty face as he looked over at you.

The day of your first day with this very man beside you was… interesting, to put it lightly. You knew better now, though. In these two years, you learned how to make Seonghwa fold in a snap of your fingers.

“Do you really want to say that when you blushed like a tomato when I kissed you earlier today?”

The memory alone made a light pink appear on Seonghwa’s cheeks. You were visiting his parents this weekend, it was a first for both of you. For him to introduce someone to his parents, and for you to be introduced.

In his defense, he wasn’t prepared to show kinship in front of his parents so early. His heart have never beaten so fast in his life. Also, his parents cooed at him because as they said, “look at him all grown up”, which wasn’t on his bingo card of the year.

But then he looked at your cute, smiley face with that shine in your eyes, how could he ever be mad at you? Instead, he felt his heart swelling with the amount of love he felt for you.

The moment fades into the reality in front of him. You were still waiting for an answer, an eyebrow raised and a huge teasing smile on your face.

“You’re too adorable, how can you be so adorable?”, he smiled as he held your face, oh so carefully, between his two hands and got close to your squished face.

The 360° of his behavior took you a little bit off guard, but every day with Park Seonghwa was a surprise. You couldn’t resist how beautiful his smile was, you kissed him once again.

So you both sat on the soft blue blanket to eat snacks together and enjoy that moment to yourselves.

It was a lazy Tuesday evening in a separate area of a 2-hour-drive public park, so there wasn’t a lot of people there in the first place, just like both of you planned it.

“Isn’t a bit cold right now?”, he asked as he rubbed his own arms in an up-and-down motion.

It was a spring day, so you were quite surprise and worried. Maybe that was a sign he was getting sick? You both were stuck in the rain for a few minutes…

“Do you feel anything else, love? Maybe it’s a cold”, you said as you rubbed his left arm yourself.

You were ready to get up and get the jacket you insisted on bringing with you, when he leaned into your shoulder.

“I’m so cold, we should cuddle”, his voice was barely a whisper in your neck as he nuzzled himself in that sensitive area.

You felt the soft air in your neck and recoiled a little, but he wrapped his arms around your middle and clung to you. Looking down, there was only a mess of brown hair, but you knew he was grinning.

“Aren’t you the cutest?”, you asked as you caressed his hair, knowing well that he wouldn’t deny it when he is soft like this.

It is quite of a rare sight when Seonghwa lets you pamper the hell out of him like that. Most of the time, the roles are always reversed as he insists on babying you as much as he can. It is an instinct at this point for him.

“You are”, he whispered as he closed his eyes, letting the feeling of your hands sink in.

“You’re literally amazing, babe”.

“No, you”, he whined as he said it louder.

“No, you!”, you said as you held back laughter.

“No, you”, he leaned away to look at you in the eyes, just to show how serious he was as he said that.

You both held a stare down for 5 seconds.

You were just as passionate about it as him.

You tried to keep being serious, but then both of you laughed so hard, nether of you had the strength to get up anytime soon.

So you didn’t.
