Basically, each connected character swaps story beats

Ivan (Barney) is taken and becomes Hugo's brother

Calliope (Ellga) is searching for her lost family, but spent years over preparing

Chip was murdered while looking into Hugo's misdeads

Mathide is searching for their lost friend/fellow agent, Carol

Not all details are ironed out but more content with this will come soon!

Infinights Statues

(spoilers for all of the infinights campaign)

So in the chosen ones campaign they run into a statue of Kyborg, and I'd like to imagine all of the infinights got statues, and I was gonna draw them but I want that drawing to be prettier then my skill will allow so here's all my ideas about them

Kyborg's statue - this is the one we get in canon, so the one we know the most about. I can't remember if the statue was described with specific pose in canon, but if not I think it would have a bow drawn. I also think the right arm of the statue would be made out of metal, either metal that doesn't rust or it's enchanted in some way.

Bart’s statue - I imagine Bart’s staute would be in Tetora in some sort of town square. I don’t think we get a canon location for where he ended up living so this made the most sense. I think people would gather around the staute for some sort of music festival. The statue pose is him holding a lute, and at certain times of day, or maybe when the tide is in a certain state (cause pirate) there’s music that comes out of the statue.

Gum Gum’s statue - I think Gum Gum’s statue would be in the garden of the orchanage (how do you spell that??). Kids would leave flowers arond it, and flowers tend to grow around it. The staue pose is either him triumphantly holding his flower staff, or him with his arms open in a way that could be going in for a hug or doing cool magic. I also know I saw a post somewhere a bit ago about the people of Faeza hosting a flower festival for Gum Gum, and I feel like the statue would be important for that.

Mudd’s statue - The people of the Witherveins would’ve wanted Mudd’s statue to be in there, but I think Mudd would’ve wanted his statue in Ürbloom outside his cafe. His statue shows him holding a statue version of Gumbo, and animals tend to gather around the statue

Group statue - There would also be a statue of all of them in Boulderay, maybe outside Ahem Academy. There’s probably also one of those Brink magic stores nearby. The OG Infinights probably also have statues somewhere.

My infinights reference sheet!

I drew this a bit ago, but surprisingly I don’t hate it yet

I do draw them slightly differently now, but I still use the same basic design

Another one of my old Infinights reference sheets, I drew this while trying to combat same face syndrome

I definitely draw them differently now, but this was the first time a group of characters that I drew looked truly distinct

I wanted to make soldier, poet, king animation for the infinights, and it fits really well with Kyborg (soldier), Bart (poet), and Mudd (king), but I didn’t want to exclude Gum Gum so I made an extra verse

Even though I have a verse there’s not a good way to get that into the song, so I would probably just do it with the first three, well I would if I could animated walk cycles

My rendition of the Glockin Tower arc. I want to make a piece where the group faces slique in his tower but idk if that’ll happen. ALSO the song i chose on tiktok fits this drawing so perfectly that i just had to share with yall :)

I know someone has probably said this before, but Kyborg definitely has chronic pain. He probably just hurt himself while he was in the everwinter woods and never really fixed it or he didn’t eat enough of some kind of food and got really bad headaches.

He wouldn’t know he had it though, he would just think that everyone is in pain everyday and be really surprised when Bart or Mudd healed him and they asked him if he was in pain and he went told them he was, but it was fine because he was always at this level and it was manageable.

(What I think that conversation would look like because I don’t know how much sense it made in paragraph form)

Bart: “Hey buddy, how are you feeling, you got pretty hurt after you fell out of that tree, but I tried to heal you up. Tell me if you’re still in any pain though, and I’ll try to fix it.”

Kyborg “I’m not in any pain, besides my usual, but that’s always there.”

Bart “What do you mean your usual pain? You shouldn’t have usual pain”

Kyborg “You know, just the usual pain that everybody has. Do you not have it”

Bart “I don’t think most people have usual pain buddy, you should probably get that checked out”

Also even though as a kid Inku/the dark never did anything to him (besides steal his parents) I wouldn’t be surprised if the dark around him had been manipulated to be scary( I don’t think Inku knew where Bart was but she could have cast some spell on him so that the darkness around him was more scary when he was born like a evil darkness godmother) wich would mean at the orchanedge he would probably try to point out how the dark was doing scary things but no one would believe him and just think he was weird for being afraid of something as natural as darkness. Also some of the meaner kids might have tried to use the dark to scare him so that by the time he met mudd and kyborg he was trying to hide the fact that he was afraid of the dark until he knew they wouldn’t make fun of him.

Spoilers for Bart’s arc bellow

So people being afraid of the dark is an evolutionary thing, and Bart is afraid of the dark when no one else is (that I know of). You could say that’s just a coincidence, or you could say that the other party members family history never involved being in a place where being afraid of the dark was a survival thing (I’m just imagining that in the history of Faeza there was never a period like the earth Stone Age because they had enough magic to be able to protect against stuff and they could live in groups who pooled their magic together to set up defenses). But Bart is afraid of the dark because some part of him subconsciously knew that his parents had been lost to the darkness and this makes his fear so much more unexplainable since people think he’s just being paranoid but then the dark dose attack him and while that would validate him it would probably mean he never got over his fear of the dark and he probably didn’t like whenever his faimly got to close to the dark either.
