Poor Sam. He's not jealous or anything, but effing angels come first time when his brother calls. Meanwhile, Dean is all, "What just happened here?" Gorgeous.

Castiel's whole vibe in this episode is brilliant. You can immediately tell that something's plot-arc-level wrong on the Cas front, he's evasive and being prickly-weird in a whole new way, having reached a kind of comfortable equilibrium with the boys at the end of season 5, but it makes the air electric between the three of them in a way that's so much fun to watch. One of those brilliantly performed scenes I live for.
