This is how I imagine this:

Caine: Go ahead my dear, open your gift!

Pomni: And there isn’t anything dangerous or harmful in this box..?

Caine: Not at all my dear!

She opens the gift box and it shoots out confetti in her face, hey, at least it wasn’t harmful.

(The gift is an avatar “dlc” of sorts? That way Pomni can actually alter her appearance and clothing, he figured it would make her at least a bit happier. I don’t have the energy for a whole fic-)

She wipes the confetti off of her face and just starts laughing, one of her first really genuine laughs in a while, and Caine is delighted to hear it!
