Pairing: Henry Lau x Reader
Summary: You’ve just gotten home, at the crack of dawn, from working the night shift at the hospital. You find your beloved Henry dozing on the couch and decide to join in.
Word Count: 1104
A/N: It was so fun writing this, it’s so cute and I absolutely love Henry Lau. Literally, as I wrote, I was gushing over how cute they are and smiling to myself. It’s adorable.
‘Finally free!’ Those are my first thoughts as I drag myself through the apartment and flop onto the bed. The sun had begun to rise and I squint as a ray shines into my eyes. I feel around the bed, noticing that something is missing. Henry isn’t laying on his side like he usually is. I get up and look around the room in confusion.
I walk across the bedroom to our bathroom. "Henry?" I call out. No answer. I look around the apartment and see that he's nowhere to be found. He wasn’t in the spare room, where he keeps all of his instruments. He wasn’t in the laundry room, which figures since he hates doing laundry. He wasn’t in the kitchen either.
Having given up on my search, I go make myself a cup of tea. While I wait for the water to brew I hear movement in the living room.
I smirk at this. ‘He must’ve been hiding.’ I think to myself. I sneak over to the couch, where the noise came from. I look over, about to scare him, but notice that he’s not hiding from me at all. He’s been here on the couch the whole time, wrapped in a blanket, fast asleep. I smile at how innocent he looks when he’s sleeping.
Deciding to let him sleep a little bit more, I change out of my scrubs into something fresh and comfy. I drink my steaming cup of tea, scrolling through my phone and munching on some snacks. I look up from my device when I hear movement again.
I walk back over to the couch, seeing him stirring. I smirk as an idea comes into my head. I get up onto the back of the couch, rolling off of it onto his sleeping form. He groans and shifts his position as I lay beside him. His eyes crack open slightly. He immediately wraps his arms around me and buries his face in my neck.
“When did you get back.” He asks groggily. I feel him kiss my collar bone multiple times.
“About 20 minutes ago, I didn’t want to wake you,” I said as I stroked his hair, separating a piece to plait. I giggle as his hold on my becomes tighter and he lets out a sleepy groan. His breath is hot against my skin as he sighs loudly, kissing my collarbone one more time.
“I don’t want to do anything today.” He says after a while, lifting his head to look at me. I caress his cheek and give him a sweet kiss on his lips. He kisses back, giving me a few more pecks on my cheeks.
"We can stay here all day if you want," I say, smiling at his cuteness. He begins to shift on the couch so that I am underneath him. I wrap my arms around his neck as I’m peppered with sleepy kisses.
“Y/N,” Henry whispers. His fingers brush across my chin, grabbing it.
“What?” I ask in return, as he begins to bring my lips close to his. When we get close enough that our lips are barely touching, he speaks again.
“Your hair looks really wild.” He chuckles. My hand instinctively runs through my messy hair, getting tangled.
“Oh my gosh, Henry,” I say as I blush and push away from him. He laughs and tries to hold me back, gripping my waist. I get on top of him, turning on my back while he grabs my wrists. He holds them down across my chest and I feel his legs wrap around me to keep me in place.
I struggle against him, giggling as I slip out of his grip. I roll onto the floor and try to crawl away. I squeal as I see him coming after me.
“Oh no, you don’t.” He says as he grabs my legs, stopping me from crawling away.
“Agh!” I scream as he starts dragging me back to the couch. “Ow, ow!” I wince as he stops dragging me and looks at me with concerned eyes. He puts my feet down and goes to my side.
“Are you okay, Y/n? Where does it hurt?” He asks frantically, inspecting my body. I bite back a giggle and push him away, running towards the bedroom. He stalls for a moment, gathering what just happened.“You little faker!” He calls as he gets up to chase me.
I get to the room and close the door, holding it closed so he can’t get in. He gets to it, wiggling the doorknob and trying to get in, but finds that it’s blocked.
“Yah! Open the door or I will be forced to use force!” He shouts as I laugh uncontrollably. I keep my hold on the door as he starts pushing. My strength being outmatched by him, the door is slowly opened.
I try to hide behind the door, but Henry grabs me, pulling me by my wrists. Next thing I know, I’m thrown over his shoulder.
“Yah! Let me down!” I demand, hitting his back with my fists and kicking my legs. He only laughs at me as I am taken back down the hall.
“Not a chance, Jagi, you said we could stay on the couch all day, so that’s what we’re doing.” He says, placing me on the couch and cuddling up to me, fingers entangled in my hair. I smile at him, wrapping my arms around him as his head rests on my chest.
“I wouldn’t mind staying here forever, especially with you,” I admit, kissing his forehead. He lifts his head to give me a long, passionate kiss. Before the kiss gets any more heated, he stops and lays his head back on my chest, hugging me close to him. Henry lets out a chuckle before speaking.
"You're heart's beating super fast. Did I do that?" He asks slyly. I roll my eyes at him.
"Oh, shut up," I poke his side and he giggles. We stay like that, breaths slowing as we both fall asleep in each other's arms.
