Day 5:  Favorite Sibling Relationships

This was a tough one and I couldn’t decide which one I liked more, so I decided to draw both.

Osomatsu and Choromatsu are both very alike and very different, which makes for an interesting dynamic.  They’re closer to earth than the others, but in two very different ways;  Choro’s worldview is probably the broadest and most realistic of the brothers, but he lacks the ability to properly deal with the people, instead focusing on his own self-improvement over all else.  Oso, on the other hand, is the exact opposite;  his worldview is pretty narrow, only focusing on what is in front of him here and now.  However, at the same time he exhibits a surprising amount of emotional maturity regarding the people around him;  he can read people pretty easily, and knows how to maintain an appropriate distance, something that Choro distinctly lacks (except when it comes to cute girls, where their roles seem to be reversed.)  Their strengths and weaknesses tie into each other, and it serves to both balance each other out and make the two but heads from time to time.

As for Karamatsu and Jyushimatsu, it’s much more simple;  Jyushi is the only brother who doesn’t actively pick on Kara, and actually makes an effort to support him in his ... unique identity.  And Kara returns the effort, tolerating Jyushi’s quirks and hyper activeness without complaint or judgement when they hang out.  They might not understand each other on a level like Jyushi and Ichi do, but they seem to have comes to terms with that; they don’t bother trying to understand each other, but it doesn’t stop them from putting the effort forth to make the other happy, and that’s just really sweet.
