Explenation:
Smile dogs form actually depends on if it uses its powers. If it isnt using its powers, tgen it looks like a normal husky that got its fur dyed by the own or something, while its actual demonic form is more of a demonic malnourished looking dog with 4 eyes and a big grin.
It feeds off of human energy and emotions, mostly fear, sadness, anger and such. Aka negativity. But it wont hesitate actually eating the human. The more it feeds, the stronger it gets, but it still looks malnourished.
To feed off your energy, it actually appears itself like someones fear, someone who they hate or mourn the loss of.. Just to get that energy out. The human feels drained and just out of shape, but they dont die unless Smile dog decides to eat them.
It navigates through the shadows and electronics, a better way to get to know its victim, to find their soft spot, and attack them with their weakness.

We got a couple of smiling fellas. A smiling dog and a smiling killer, personally my favorite creepypastas is ticci Toby and smile dog. I really like creepypastas, I basically grew up with it. and that Jeff the killer rewrite by pasta is amazing, it what made me draw these creepypasta fellows :3.
