i wonder if they did play around with this idea if maybe that’s how we could also get more areas,, maybe get an extra room in vault that, with every diamond in there, would teleport you to the season’s hub,,,,

to round out me fixating on sky extra hard for the day here are some little prince season lore thoughts

I’ve seen a lot of blogs “rejecting” little prince from their interpretations of lore etc as it pertains to their characters. Which is totally valid— it’s essentially a sort of noncanon lighthearted crossover! It’s hard to fit if you want to do a fan story that is very explicitly and only Sky.

HOWEVER! I, a traveling salesman with many beautiful wares and snake oil, have an ALTERNATIVE to preach!

I think everyone has agreed 1) the “spirits” were a rather advanced society when they were alive and 2) the vault of knowledge diamonds are some kind of record keeping. This is also somewhat based off the lore interpretation that Vault may be, to some degree, be some kind of dream. It’s not reliant on it, but I wanted to give some credit to that theory as it lead me to the following idea:

THE LITTLE PRINCE STORYLINE IS A DREAM.

…So to speak. More accurately: the Little Prince storyline is a children’s story that is in Vault’s records. You could say the diamonds are essentially programmed to put the user in a dreamlike state to live out / interact with the story/info inside them— and this one happens to be The Little Prince! Everything in the Starlight Desert is false, and your sky kid never truly leaves the Vault at all when going to the desert, or when going on the Prince’s tasks; no, you’re merely in front of the diamond and whatever machine is “running” the story, and you are asleep, dreaming.

Maybe this is the only record the sky kids have figured out how to work, or the rest are broken, or maybe it was the last in. Maybe even everyone just leaves The Little Prince in the dream making machine to be “read” by many, because all sky kids (being KIDS) enjoy it.

…I dunno :P just a fun way to incorporate it ;D
