WELL I typed a big thing but tumblr apparently ate it?? So let’s try this again.
Shoko is giving me a good sniff-down because I smell like a million dogs.
I had an amazing morning today getting to finally meet some Silken Windhounds! I met five in total, including @noodle-dragon‘s Obie’s littermates, Chai and Chaser!
They were absolutely amazing. It was my first time meeting Silkens in person and they met and exceeded my expectations by far. Chai in particular stole my heart and reminded me so much of Shoko. Just such a sweet, calm, stable, down to earth dog. If all goes according to plan, I hope to have a puppy from her upcoming litter coming home in a little less than a year’s time! Nothing is “official” but I talked to the breeder for a long time and I really like them. And my suspicions of this breed being a perfect fit for me feel spot-on.
I didn’t get any pictures because I’m dumb/I was too busy being amazed by and cuddling with real life Silkens, but I will likely be seeing them again at a UKC show next weekend!
Oh and also: SOMEHOW they are EVEN MORE GORGEOUS in person. I didn’t think it was possible, but they are.
