“You’re getting married!?”

pairing: todoroki x f!reader warnings: non word count: 762 a/n: this is another repost! I debated reposting this but I love this fic hehe

Ever since you were thirteen you knew you were going to marry Shoto Todoroki, both of your parents still believed in quirk arranged marriages and at the age of thirteen you were chosen for each other. Most people you knew that were also promised to someone practically hated their future spouse, but thankfully Todoroki was your best friend. You two had been attached at the hip since elementary school, so the idea of spending the rest of your lives with each other never really bothered either of you. Shortly after both of you got into UA you started dating, Todoroki had thought it was pointless to put a label on a relationship between the two of you when you both knew you would be a married couple shortly after graduation.
“What’s the point in declaring we’re dating when we’re already going to get married”, he had said with a shrug,

thinking about being Shouto’s girlfriend and slowly teaching him how to play video games in the UA dorms together during some downtime. Choosing something cute like Stardew Valley where you can play co-op. And asking him “hey, can we get married?” And for him to freeze for a second and then go “…I think we could. There are some technicalities to work out with my father and we may need to wait until our third year to get our license but we could definitely start our engagement and…” and he goes on and on about how he’d be happy to marry you but surprised you brought it up this soon, not that he minds because he loves you and is serious about you. Except he doesn’t realize you were talking about getting married in the game. Shouto took your words in their most literal sense, as he often does. So when you finally do correct him (after quite some time because he’s insistent on making sure he knows what kind of wedding decorations you’d like) he goes quiet, the tips of his ears turning completely red. But before he can begin to despair you give him a little kiss. Telling him that for now, you’d like to get married in the game, and focus on your relatively new relationship with him outside of it. But that, if he still feels the same way in a few years, you wouldn’t mind getting married in real life, too.
imagine todoroki getting changed in the locker room and the boys see the red scratch marks down his back and they start teasing him but he’s just there like ??? “do your partners not leave scratches down your back? i’m told the scratches are a good thing.”

warnings: slight s&m themes

> poor boy would be so confused honestly
> everyone else would just be like.... "shouto?!?!"
shouto pulls his sweaty shirt off his head after a long day of forcing himself to use both his ice and fire side at once. the strong muscles in his arms and back ripple as he does so.
"oh my god... are you okay?" he hears midoriya ask, voice littered with genuine concern.
then he feels a calloused hand over the muscles in his back followed by tiny painful stings that course through him. he turns around in confusion and midoriya's hand contracts.
"holy shit - todoroki." kaminari adds, a little laugh in his voice as he steps over the bench between the lockers to get a better look at the red welts that are scraped down shouto's shoulders and back, "dude is that from... y/n?"
"um... yeah" he says, still very confused on the surprise they're showing.
"damn man, i didn't know your dick was that good!" sero hurdles the little bench the same as denki then gives shouto a slap on the shoulder.
shouto's brows just furrow further together in confusion.
'was this not normal for them?'
but then he realizes that he never has seen similar scratches on his friends backs... even though he is one of the few with a girlfriend he knew that the others were still getting some.
"that's so dope... you gotta teach me." kirishima exclaims from a few lockers down
"do your partners not scratch up your back?" shouto asks, taking the shirt of his uniform from his locker and fitting his arms through the sleeves
"not like that!" a few of them say
"is... is it bad?"
"physically yes." kaminari says, passing shouto once more but this time with his shirt on, "but game wise...?"
"nuh uh." sero laughs.
Sway Me (Todoroki X Reader) NSFW
Summary: Shouto Todoroki is a lot of things, but the most prominent traits that come to mind are annoying, aloof, and ridiculously good with his mouth.
Pairing: Shouto Todoroki X fem!reader Word Count: ~2.5K Warnings: swearing, explicit sexual content, cunnilingus, semi-public shenanigans Author’s Note: This is, like, 100% inspired by @spicyness drunkenly posting that Todoroki would eat pussy “like it’s his day job”. Characters are aged-up, and this takes place in a quirkless, college setting. Also, I wrote this in, like, an hour, so sorry if it’s trash (also explains that dumb ass title, don’t roast me)

IT WILL BE EASY, they said. You can just use the translation app, they said. Look around maybe you will find things we didn’t have, cool trees or flowers. Maybe you will even find a location of a film you like, they said. To be fair the last ones were good things.
But then you start to realise how media makes it seem a whole lot easier to move to a different continent. Did you know that when you move to a foreign country people don’t talk slow, and you are unable to pause them or rewind to what they said? Makes no sense.
What makes even less sense is how you have officially lost your way. Even with the navigation on, all the small alleys and long streets makes everything look the same. Sighing you look around again, turning haphazardly multiple corners trying to hear out the busy streets, sighing relieved as you find it again.
Catching a glimpse of a group of teens standing together you guessed they were around your age as you move to them; deciding to ask them the general directions instead of trying to find it yourself, as that was obviously not working.
“Hi.”
They turn to you, making you a lot more nervous now that you got their attention. Trying to remind yourself what your mothers has told you, ‘Do you know the stairs?’ you said; instead of asking for the particular one.
Making heads tilt at the weird wording and accent that came with it, “English?” you ask, answered with apologetic faces as they shake their heads.
Holding up your hand, you take your phone out. Typing away into the translation app your mum told you to download, and hoovered over you to do so. It was annoying then but you will thank her so much when you get home.
Typing in the stairs you wanted to go to, most likely being seen as a psycho as you ask strangers about a stairwell you want to see. Out of all the things it has to offer… But you let the app say its words, making the teens nod and oh simultaneously as they now understanding what you tried to say.
Having the one with the red-and-white split dyed hair takes his phone out, he types away at it. As the others just smile, the green-haired boy blushing heavily as he gives you a reassuring smile. The eye contact is broken as the boy shows you his phone screen; presenting the texts from google translate to you; ‘going that way, walk with you.’ it read, a cruel reminder that google translate is not as great as you had once thought it was, guess you lost that bet.
Nodding, a smile comes up to your face as you hold your thumbs up for him. As he holds his arm out for the direction you have to go, before wishing his friends goodbye. Something you were quite proud of that you understood.
But as soon as you were alone an awkward silence crept up. It was not for lack of trying but the translation works slow and it is not great for an actual conversation with how broken it sounded.
Too bad, going to hero school sounded pretty cool. It was not like you were unaware of them, but in your circle, no one really truly pursued heroism or any work relating to law-enforcement. It was generally frowned up on, to be honest. Which is a giving considering the controversies — which haven’t been confirmed or denied — of the top heroes in your country, made complete sense.
Besides, bringing that up sounded like a bummer, plus with the way the English sounded from his phone, there was no way it would even be explained the way you wanted it to if your words were to be translated to Japanese.
Deciding to look at the scenery instead you can feel his eyes on the side of your face from time to time, but he doesn’t say anything. A small smile plays on your lips as you watch the trees; cherry blossom season is a lot more beautiful in real life than pictures gave it credit for.
Feeling a tap to your shoulder, you pull your thoughts out of the scenery and back to the boy next to you. Holding up his phone for you, ‘Ever been to Japan?’ it read.
Making you shake your head, typing in yours, ‘First time. Moved here.’ you wrote back. Letting him nod, before typing in his again. Glancing at you from the corner of his eye, making you smile softly.
‘Moved why?’
‘Parents job.’
Nodding, he looks up from your screen as you point at him, “You?” you say, trying to ask if he ever moved anywhere other than Japan. Making him shake his head, “Never… left?” He asks, trying to ogle if he said it right.
Holding a thumbs up, you two make your way to your destinations… you think. It was unclear if he would bring you to a point and explain the way, or fully bring you there.
Thinking it is a safe bet to glance at him again, he has a soft smile as he catches you. Making you quickly look away, making a chuckle leave his lips — something that feels very special and intimate even tho he is a stranger.
Letting your eyes shift all over, not wanting to be caught staring. That is the only thing on your mind until you see it, making your eyes widen. Holding on to his arm, you gasp at the massive building.
Following your line of sight, he points it out. Making you nod eagerly, taking your phone again you tell him it is the national art centre which you had just found out about from the movie you watched on the plane.
‘Have you seen it?’ you ask through the app, referring to the film. Making him shake his head, as he points at it, “You want?” he asks, making it know he knows what you mean — most likely knowing the building too — but has not seen the film or understands the sudden intrigue.
Nodding, you drag him with you to the building. Feeling fingers slip down your arm before they intertwine with your as you take two steps at a time, vastly approaching the entrance.
Moving to walk in with him, you realise you missed a very vital part of information, especially when you are going to enter a big building with him where you could possibly lose each other.
Turning to him, pausing him in his steps too; “Uhm… name?” you ask, trying to make sense, “Todoroki.” he says, making a smile come to you as he understood, as he points at you in questions, “Todoroki-san…” you try out, telling him your name in return.
“(l/n).” he tries out. Making you hold a thumbs up with your free hand. Before pointing back at the door, nodding at what you mean. He lets his hand slip out, pushing the door open for you, letting you walk in before him.
Looking up, you try to figure out where he might want to go. Turning back to him, wanting to point where he might want to go; taking your hand back in his, intertwining them as he points at the first exhibition.
Following his lead, you can’t help glancing down at your joined hands, not being able to stop yourself from thinking that getting lost in Japan might not be the worst thing.

GENRE → comfort/crack
MASTERLIST → if you want to read more fics of mine
READERS QUIRK → the reader has an unidentified electric quirk ( from another multi-chapter todoroki fic that is still in the developing stages ) and when she get nervous sparks come from her face much like pikachu
A/N → these are just blue spring ride scenes that i think shouto would fall into — also, whomever made this manga coloring; it is gorgeous!

i. with your arms full of papers
As the class rep of 1-F there are many duties. Making sure no one blows up the classroom, everyone there needs are taken care of, and of course getting all the paperwork of what you and your classmates have fixed, created and blueprinted to the filing system Principal Nezu has created for your department.
That system being implemented after Hatsume-senpai has made so many inventions that the school did not know about caused many hero students a visit to Recovery Girl. So, now prevent measurements are taken as she sailed off to her second year.
Sliding the door open with your leg, not being allowed to take unfilled inventions outside the support course classrooms, you have to do it this way — something, you should thank Hatsume-senpai for, again — your eyes contact with a mismatched beautiful eyes and an even more beautiful face to match it. Your lips part as you quite obviously stare at the angle in front of you.
“Hi.” he said, staring right back at you. Parting your lips, you try to get words out but instead just sounds come out. Making your eyes widen at the sudden embarrassment of stuttering and falling over your tongue in front of him sets in, “Are you okay?”
Looking down again, you nod, “Maybe she is a mute.” one voice offers up at your silence.
“Mutes don’t try to talk.”
Squeezing your eyes shit, you turn around. Running as fast as you can with the folders. Praying you will not let them fall as you leave the group of students to themselves.
“Uh… should we follow her?”
“I think she does not want to be followed.”
ii. falling into his lap
“Hi.” a voice suddenly says. Making you freeze up at the deep voice addressing you. Turning around, your eyes widen a bit at how much closer he is standing than you had expected, “Support Course, right?”
Nodding you try to step around him to bring some space between the two of you. While also inching closer to the door so you will not embarrass yourself in front of the gorgeous boy again.
Due to that, you did not fully focus on where you placed your feet, you accidentally stepped on his foot instead. Wincing at your metal cladded boots, a gasp leave your lips at the pain it must be ( honestly it is cladded so well that it would hurt a hammer before it would hurr your toes ).
Dropping down, you try to help him. Instead, heads bump into each other. Wincing again you hold your forehead, trying to stop the throbbing. Standing up to fast your blood rush to your head; “Hey—” startled by the new voice, you want to curse at the sudden attention you are getting.
Turning around the girl stands incredibly close. Stepping back you wonder if either of them has ever learned about personal space or if pretty privilege exhumed them from ever having to learn it.
Yet those questions leave as the fast step you took made you wobble in your boots and down you went, taking him with you. Gasping at the hand that squeezed you close, bracing for the impact. Trying not to focus on it, you try to focus on not electrocuting the boy, “I-” you say trying to apologise.
“Are you okay?” the girl asks, cutting you off. The sparks from your face now not being able to be stopped, pushing up from the boy. A groan leaves his lips as you pushed onto something you should not have.
Shifting your eyes to him, fire waves from his face as he glances down. Following his eyes, your sparks flare up even more as you see your hand right on top of— scramble to your feet. Bolting out of the library as fast as your boots will take you as Lugosi-sensei, the librarian, reminds you that you should not run in those boots or you might break a bone.
Being to surprised by the speed she left at, “Well, she couldn’t have run faster from you if she had tried.” Yaoyorozu tells her classmate who is slowly standing up again.
“What even happened?” Midoriya asks baffled at the whole ordeal. He saw it all but it made no sense at all. How was it even able to have that many coincidences happen all at once? How did ‘hi’ get to running — if you could have called it that — out of the library.
Making him shake his head, letting his hair fall into his eyes, “I have no clue. I just said hi, it was quite, she stood op my foot, our heads hit and we weirdly we fell. Then she touched my crotch and she ran.”
“I guess that it was very embarrassing.”
iii. as you cry in public
It is a natural habit at this point; during every prop week, you have at least a couple cry sessions.
Not only having to make sure your project is done well and getting all your papers on track but also those of everyone in your class. Constantly putting out fires figuratively and literally. Gets really stressful and the only — healthy — way of dealing with it is having a cry.
To let all of it out at your special place under the window outside which is where you resided right now. What you definitely hadn’t expected or could have foreseen was an input fire drill.
Trying to clean your face up you and make yourself look as presentable as possible and not like you just cried. Getting your tissues you wipe your face clean, softly thanking your mum for reminding you to always have them on hand.
Feeling an arm around your shoulder, before being pulled into a chest. Stiffing up at the sudden feeling, you glance up having your eyes connect with one grey and one blue eye.
Now being even more flustered by simply having him continuously catching you at the most awkward of times. Instead of truly thinking about it, you take him up on the invite and push your face into his shoulder, sighing deeply having a scent of pine and cologne invade your senses.
Having truly calmed down, you feel internal grateful for this stranger that held you and prevented being seen crying by everyone as he sways us slowly. Making it seem like the two of you were just weird people hugging out of a window instead of what was actually happening, “Are you okay?” he asks softly.
Nodding, you pull away. Smiling softly at him as you leave without another word being too embarrassed to say anything else.
iv. tired of all the work
Rubbing your eyes you lay your head onto your work table. Just for a moment, in a minute you will stand up. It is Friday night and everyone has just left to the dorms; prop week was successful and Principal Nezu has gifted — your class — as the most promising new inventors. Earning your all the price; which is the same every year.
An invite to I-Island and it’s benefactors annual event. I-Island is a floating island close to the coast, but most of them have a quarters on land.
Who have hired many U.A. alumni after they have interned with them. Specifically, the class president who has pulled the class to those achievements. Which is why you wanted to be the rep to begin with but slowly you start to realise why no one else wanted it.
Hearing the door slide open, you can not be bothered to stand up. So, you just groan to signal that you are still there, keeping your eyes closed as you hear soft footsteps come closer to you.
The scraping of the chair and the soft shuffle makes you open your eyes. Connecting with heteroromantic eyes, the handsome stranger. Honestly, there are many things you have gone over to say to him since the last time you saw him a few days ago; ‘I’m not a mute.’ , ‘I’m sorry I touched your no-no-square.’ , ‘Thank you for letting me cry on your shoulder.’ but instead of all of that you just stared in his eyes and softly whispered the first thing that came to mind;
“You have really pretty eyes."
Making him raise a brow as you trace your eyes over his face. From his eyes to the tip of his nose ending on his lips, “You think so?" He asks in the same soft tone.
Nodding, you hum softly, “Could look at them forever." you say, the sleep deprivation letting you say whatever without shame.
“You can." and for the rest of the night of you did. There was slow conversation and comforting silent, truly you could have lived in that moment forever.

SUMMARY → showers with your icy-hot boyfriend are pretty cold
PAIRING → todoroki shouto x gn!reader
GENRE → fluff, drabble
A/N → this headcanon came to me when i was drinking hot coco & it burned my tongue. which made me think about how shouto would probably hate the feeling of hot water on his skin — as we know — and the shower wouldn’t be exempt from that.
MASTERLIST → if you want to read other works of mine

AS THE WATER HITS your back, you let out a small yelp at the unexpected cold. Taking a step forward, you turn around reaching for the knob but before you could he holds your body closer to his, “Don’t.”
Turning around in his hold, you can’t see his eyes. Pushing the hair out of his face, your brows furrow at the panicked in his eyes, “Please…” he mumbles. Nodding you wrap your arms around his shoulders, leaning into him.
“Guess you will just have to hold me.” you say softly, your teeth unconsciously rattling, “Is it really cold?” he asks softly. Nodding, you wipe some water off your face, “It’s basically freezing.” you chuckle.
“I’m sorry—” he starts, “Don’t. It’s okay.” you say cutting him off. Standing fully back on your feet again, you place a small kiss on his chest before leaning your forehead against him, “I would do anything for you.”
Feeling the warmth run over your back, you relax into his touch. The kiss om the top of your head, making your heart flutter. Sighing, you trace a pattern into his skin, “Do you not want to know why?”
Looking up to his face, you tilt your head, “Do you want to tell me?” you ask instead of answer his question. Humming, he traces his finger up from your waist to your face. Before cupping your skin, “I want to tell you everything.”
Nodding, you lean into the touch of his hand. You know he would, he tells you everything and anything when you ask him why he does certain things. But telling you, and wanting to and being ready to are completely diffrent things.
When you started going out on dates he always ate cold soba. When asked he said it was his comfort food, something he had been eating forever but particularity in high school. Now, you didn’t know him then but what he did tell you is that hot water or food close to his face makes him uncomfortable.
Now with that in mind you can connect the dots as to why he showers with cold water, “You can tell me when you’re ready.” you reassure. A small smile is present on his face as he sighs, his shoulders relaxing in the process as he rests his forehead against yours.
“Thank you.”

I’m Not Scared! - Todoroki Shouto x Reader
Reader and Shouto unable to sleep after watching a horror movie, but neither will admit that the movie scared them.
(Note: Reader is not easily scared. I am someone who doesn't get scared much when watching horror movies. That's why I wrote it from that perspective. Not beta read.)
AU Idea from: https://atsuzaki-playground.neocities.org/
Word Count: 2,268(?)
------------
It was not supposed to be like this. Me, scared? Of a horror movie? I really don’t like to admit it, but, that movie did shake something inside of me. The credit were rolling. The living room was nearly pitch black, for the TV was the only light source. The eerie melody did not help either. It brought back flashbacks of the most gruesome killings I’ve ever seen in a movie. It’s fine. I’ll be okay. I’m not scared. I’m not that scared.
I look at my boyfriend. His gleaming eyes were focused on screen before he turn to me.
“That was, uh, nice, huh? I expected it to be scarier but I guess not,” he said. He seems undisturbed by the movie. Huh? Say what? Scarier? Did we even watch the same movie? That has to be the most disturbing movie I’ve seen in my entire life. Kirishima did warn us...
“Yeah, I don’t know why Kirishima and the others were terrified. It’s the same as other horror movies,” I chuckled, trying to keep my mind off the images that keep popping up. No, it wasn’t. This does not compare to any of the horror movies I’ve watched. Normally, I’d be over the movie by now, but this time I’m not.
“Well,” he stood up from the couch. I slightly panicked. Where is he going?
“Let’s clean this small mess up.” He grabbed the empty wrapper and bowl. Oh. I nod in return, following him with the empty cans we drank from.
Suddenly, the room went entirely dark.
The light from the TV was black. My heart skipped a beat. Crap. I nearly let out a gasp. Luckily, I caught myself. I couldn’t even see Shouto’s figure anymore. Not long after, there was shuffling from my right.
“Shouto?” I call out with my hands gripping the cans a little tighter. I hear a hum before a light beams on my face. I squint at the bright light shining in the his hand.
“Can’t see the room. I’ll turn on the lights,” Shouto says before leaving my side to flick the switch on. Utter silence. He moved so quietly, I almost thought he hadn’t moved at all until there was brightness. Relief washed over me as I saw everything was okay. Shouto was still here. This was still my house. And nothing went wrong.
“Are you okay?” he questioned me from his spot. He looked calm, as usual. Was he really not phased by all those scenes in the movie?
“Yeah, just didn’t see you walk past me,” I reply before walking towards the kitchen. Shouto walks up behind me with the other dishes. I proceeded to wash it all while he put away any leftovers.
Suddenly, a sharp loud noise comes from the living room. My heart nearly falls out at the heavy familiar tune. I grip the bowl tighter to prevent it from falling. It was the same horrifying tune that grew to become more and more menacing as the movie went on. My fist clenches tightly into itself.
“Oh, I forgot to turn off the TV. It must’ve replayed on its own,” he rushed inside the living room to take care of the task. I quickly let out the sigh of relief when the tune stopped. However, the killings and horrific moments from the movie would not stop popping into my mind. It kept me on edge. I never thought this would be my reaction to a horror movie. As soon as Shouto entered the kitchen again, I eased up a little more. I just need him beside me for a bit, then I'll be okay.
“Let’s go,” I nod, following him to get into our bedroom.
We both were in our room, except for the past hour, I was sitting up on the bed and Shouto was next to me on his laptop. Despite the tiredness I felt in the afternoon, sleep was something that was not coming to me. Whenever my eyes closed, the storyline, the faces, and the sounds continued to bother me. Due to Shouto's display of calmness, I did not express, for once, getting spooked by a mere horror movie.
“Aren’t you tired?” I asked Shouto, who seemed to be finishing up a report from his agency. He hummed before looking at me.
“Not... really. You can go to sleep. No need to wait up for me,” he lets through a small smile.
“Oh, well... I’m not tired either.” That's embarrassing.
“Hm, did the movie scare you?” he now looked worried. Shouto pushed the laptop a little to the side before scooting himself towards me.
“No, I’m fine. Not sure why I’m not tired. Why? Did it uh freak you out?” Please tell me it did. Please tell me it did. Please tell me-
He shook his head ‘no’. How!?
“It didn’t, but the movie was alright,” he went right back to work after responding to the question. Of course. It does take a lot to scare him.
I continued to scroll through my phone while Shouto types out his documents. His hero work often requires reports of the patrols, fights, and whatnot. I’m guessing it’s the report on today’s patrol combined with the research he needs to do for a mission. The silence between us wasn’t awkward but there was something left unspoken. The bed shook a little and I noticed him get out of bed. Where is he going? Before I can say anything, Shouto entered the bathroom and closed the door. Oh, bladder business.
His absence did not help calm my nerves. The feeling was indescribable. It was as if a presence was there. I took in a deep breath to brace myself. Calm down!
However, the sudden loud thud against the window tipped me further into the emotion. Looking at the window, there was a huge crack. It seemed as though one touch would shatter it out of the barely stable placement. The noise from the bathroom and frost coming from underneath the door did not help. I quickly ran to the door and started knocking. First reason: I was worried Shouto got injured from a possible intrusion and wanted him near me. Second reason: the ice under the door made no sense, unless it was something important. Frantically and constantly, my knuckles hit the wood. The ice from the bathroom only grew. Slipping on the sudden ice under my feet, I fell to my knees. A hiss left my mouth. The jagged part of the ice formed marks on my skin.
“S-Shouto?! Are you okay?” I questioned. I was worried and confused for the sudden need of his powers. I heard scrambling from inside the bathroom and the ice begins to melt. Soon enough, the door opens and Shouto was in front of me. His figure towers over my state.
“Shit, sorry,” he gently pulls me up. Carrying my body, he lets me down on the bed.
-3rd person POV-
“D-did you hear it too?” you asked, wondering if the sound ticked him off.
“Yeah,” silence followed after.
“Um...” not knowing what to say, you decided to hug Shouto. Shouto wrapped his arms around you.
“Are you okay? I didn’t mean to hurt you,” he asked, pulling away. You shook your head, indicating that you were fine.
“Just fell, that’s all. Why the ice?”
“I heard a loud noise and accidentally let my power run out,” he replied.
Huh? That rarely happens, you thought.
“Did you knock because of my ice?” he looked at you with a curious face.
“Uh, yeah. Well...” you weren’t sure how to respond. How can you tell him that you were scared and the noise tipped you off?
“Where did the noise come fro- Oh,” Shouto’s eyes wandered to the cracked window. He wondered if that was the reason behind your slightly frightened state.
You both weren't sure whether or not to confess.
Shit. I really didn't mean to hurt them. They're not bleeding, but there is a possibility bruising will appear in the morning.
Shouto cups your cheek and slides thumb across it.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you like that," he continues his gesture.
You place a hand on his left arm, "As long as I'm able to make sure you're okay, a little accident isn't bad."
"I'll call the local agency to figure out the odd occurrence," Shouto leaves your side for a few minutes to gather information.
He stands at the foot of the bed during the conversation. He wanted to ensure your safety, especially after the eerie event. However, he was relieved after receiving better news.
"What did they say?" you asks, looking up at him from the bed.
"Nothing to worry about. There was a child who manifested a wind quirk and accidentally threw objects around with great force. Multiple houses called the agency, as well, regarding their broken windows and cars. It happened at the time our window cracked, so that answers our question."
You smiled with pity, "That's horrible. The child must feel horrible for the ruckus."
"Hm, probably."
1st Person (Reader)
I really wanted to confess. Shouto, that damn movie scared me. Although the phone call reassured our safety, my nerves did not calm down.
Shouto stretches his arms as he nears our bed.
"Are you done with your work?" I asked, removing the bedsheet from his side.
"I am. Some of it needs to be gone through with the others, so I plan on meeting with them tomorrow," he slides his feet into the sheets and lays down next to me.
He places his arm on my waist but does not shut his eyes. I don't shut mine either.
3... 2.5... 2... 1.5... 1...
"About the mo-" we both mutter at the same time, catching each other by surprise.
"Uh, you first,"
"No, you can go ahead," he responds.
I cringe at my thoughts. This is embarrassing.
"Oh, nothing. Just thinking about the interesting plot of the film," a fake smile spreads across my face.
He does not seem to believe those were my original thoughts, but he does not mention his skepticism.
"Yeah, no one really got a safe or happy ending."
"Anyways, who will you be meeting tomorrow?" I changed the topic immediately to avoid speaking of the movie.
"Well, I know Bakugou, Midoriya, and Tsuyu will be among the few. There is also the pro-heroes we've occasional met in high school. Do you remember the students from Shiketsu?"
"Ah, yes, I do. Especially the one who... messed up the provisional license test with you," he takes my hands into his an brings it up to his face. My face warms up at the gesture.
"You're tense. Are you sure you're okay?" he looked worried at my behavior. I didn't even notice the stress I placed on my shoulders and arms.
"Well..." I debated tell him the truth, but at this point... Just tell him!
"Please don't make fun of me," I start off.
"I won't. I promise," he smiles as I take a deep breath.
"The movie was a little bothersome. I can't get over the scenes."
He blankly stares at me. A silence meets the room for a few long seconds. Great.
"I know. It probably wasn't that scary for you, but-"
"You too?" Huh?
"What do you me-," it hits me. I get up from my position, "You got freaked out by it?"
"Yeah," he scratches the back of his head as he, too, raised himself up.
"Oh my gosh. You won't believe how relived I am, right now. Well, not because you're scared, but you won't poke fun," I let out a breathy laugh.
"Even if I wasn't, I'd never make fun of your feelings. It's completely fine to feel scared," he rubs the back of my hand with his thumb.
"Do you feel better getting that off your chest?" he asked. I nod in return.
Wait a minute... My eyebrows scrunch up remembering the incident that happen not too long ago. I fully face Shouto, and he immediately returns the gesture.
"Wait... Was that why your ice went off?" he blushes at my realization. I chuckled and ruffle his hair.
"I'm guessing it's the same for you?" I place my forehead on his and let out a flustered 'yes' before going back to my previous posture.
"We both really are too stubborn to admit we were scared."
"Definitely," I replied
"Let's go back to sleep. We have to wake up a bit earlier than usual tomorrow. Well.. Today since it is a few minutes past 12 AM," I was confused at his sudden schedule change.
"Aren't you clocking into work at noon?" I asked.
"Well, my love," he takes my chin into his hand and comes close, "To make up for the ruckus and feelings for today, I am treating you."
He is truly going to be the death of me. I cannot believe I had lower expectations when I first met him. I was too shocked at his gesture to speak or move. He simply smiles and pulls both of us back into our covers. Shouto presses his body against mine, maximizing our contact with each other.
"We'll both be here for each other if the other gets a nightmare," he presses his face into the crook of my neck and places a small kiss.
"Let me treat you tomorrow, too. You deserve it," I told him. No matter what he says, I already have my decision set.
"A day out getting ourselves pampered, it is," his grip on my body tightens as we comfort each other to sleep.
His scent fill my mind, removing all the bad scenes that previously occupied my mind. His touch removed the feeling of murderous hands around my body. His soft breath slowly removed the screams of agony and terror that previously looped in my ear.
I slowly rake my hand through his hair. I hope I am doing the same for him. His calm heartbeat and regular breath only reassures my hopes.
"We're safe with each other."
"We're safe with each other," he confirms.
We're both lucky to have each other.

I groan at the sudden loading screen of my laptop. I thought I paid the bill? I shake my leg in nervousness. This assignment is due tomorrow, but I knew I’d be too busy to complete it then. Should I wait until I get free WiFi at a cafe? No… I want to get this submitted now.
I groan out of frustration and slight confusion. I then attempted to submit the assignment from my phone. To my rotten luck, my phone also did not have WiFi. Not only that, the file was not compatible. Okay. Breathe in. Breathe out. It’s okay. You have one more day.
Closing my eyes, I lie back back onto my bed. I’ll just wait 5 minutes. In the meantime, I unintentionally eavesdropped onto the neighboring room upon hearing running down the hallway and into the room next door. Shouto and I moved in around the same time. He arrived at this apartment half a year before I did. At first, our conversations were dry and awkward. However, as time went on, they became smooth and comfortable. Our silent stares became frequent waves when seeing each other around the area.
There was a little bit of loud shuffling of bags and footsteps. My eyes widen at the sudden thump that rumbles my floor.
“Goodness,” I mumble. I wonder what that was?
My curiosity got the best of me so this time I got out of my room and into my living room. I slowly open the door and peek out. Ah!
“I accidentally bumped into him! Didn’t look where I was going,” Eijirou seems to be defending someone inside of the room. Hm…
“My apologies, Shouto! I’ll pay you back! I feel really bad,” I heard a strong voice. My eyebrow furrows at the familiar voice. What was his name again? Tensei? Wait. No! That’s his brother… Ten…Ten?
“You’re alright, Tenya. Thanks for the help with the new table.” Shouto responds. Right! Tenya.
“No! You must let me!” Tenya seemed firm about his decision.
“I’ll pitch in too. Partially my fault,” Eijirou raises his fist in strange determinations.
“Denied. No,” Shouto’s bluntness almost makes me laugh.
“The wooden sculpture was already pretty roughed up. Even a child’s punch would’ve toppled it over,” he adds.
I go back inside, once again, minding my own business. It’s good that no one was hurt. I rush back to my room and reload my page.
No connection…
I roll my eyes at the device. It’s been 5 minutes already. I huff in annoyance. Normally, I would be okay with going to a nearby cafe. However, today was not a day I wanted to step outside. My back ached from yesterday’s busy schedule. Tomorrow was another busy day and I needed to conserve as much energy as I could. I flop back onto my bed, rolling around. Suddenly, a thought swipes into my brain.
Shouto… has WiFi. More importantly, Shouto has the fastest WiFi in the apartment complex, especially because he is rich.
I bite my inner cheek, debating myself. Should I ask? Before I can get up, I think to myself again. What if he questions me? How do I respond if he says no?
Please, sire. Allow this peasant to use your golden WiFi.
I press my hand on my temple. I groan before I swipe my phone off of my pillow.
“Let's use the high IQ skills,” I joke to myself as I open my phone.
He wouldn’t mind, right? That is, if I can access it. He won’t. How will he know?
I click on the name ‘Shouto.T’ and think to myself.
Shouto111? Incorrect.
MidoyiraIzuku? Izukuno1? Both incorrect. I chuckle to myself. Good ones. He was great friends with Izuku and would mention that Izuku got him to accept himself and his life.
Hm… I shake my head. Foolish. It can’t be my name.
After giving it a few more playful and hilarious tries, I realized that I was giggling to myself… about Shouto’s WiFi password. I cleared my throat and straightened my back.
Come on. All you have to do is ask, I told myself. Yet again, I look back down on my phone. I smile to myself. Whatever. For giggles.
I insert my firstname into the empty space and hit connect. I laughed a bit too hard, until I realized the once empty space held a checkmark.
Connected.
My laughter comes to a stop and I choke up. I’m connected. Wait! I’m connected?!
My body was frozen in place. What? How- Wait. Huh?!
I quickly snap out of it and fling my phone onto my pillow, which makes a louder than expected thump. Then, I grab my laptop. I insert the same password into his WiFi. Once again… Connected.
I was stunned. Too stunned to even be excited that I can submit my assignment. What do I do with this information? Do I ask him about it? No. He’ll ask how I know. Then, he’ll ask why I put my name. Then- Ugh!
Shaking my thoughts off, I solve the problem that had been gnawing at me for the past 30 minutes. I successfully submit my assignment and close my laptop. Suddenly, I hear my doorbell ring.
I quietly make my way and open the door. There stood the boy that managed to alway make my heart flutter.
“Hi, Shouto! Is everything alright?”
“Hi. Yeah, I wanted to make sure everything was okay. I heard a loud noise,” I tilt my head in confusion. Then, I remembered the force I threw my phone at.
“Oh! Sorry. I uh… Got shocked and threw my phone,” I chuckled. He shakes his head in understanding.
Suddenly, he grabs his phone, “By the way… Do you mind me asking something?” He shows me the screen of his phone. No. Don’t tell me this rich boy… I shake my head ‘no’ and look at the screen. Don’t tell me he knows who is connected to his router…
“How did you know my WiFi password? Am I that obvious about it?” His index finger points to my phone and laptop, which clearly are titled with my name. I look at him with a warm face and wide eyes.
“Well… No, but… Well… I didn’t expect it to work. Okay, so, I needed to submit an assignment and my WiFi wasn’t working. I swear I pay my bills, by the way. I was going to ask you but-” my stop myself from giving out more information.
He lightly laughs and looks at me.
“This wasn't how I expected you to find out,” he says. To confirm my thoughts, I press into his vagueness.
“Find out what?” I asked.
“Oh. That I like you. That’s why I put you as my WiFi password,” he said it loud and clear from the doorstep.
Both of us stood in silence for a few seconds before he clears his throat.
“I understand if this is awkward and weird. I can go if you’re feeling uncomfortable,” he scratches the back of his neck.
“No!” I blurt.
“A little confusing, but I was shocked. That’s all,” I told him.
“If I asked you out today, would you agree?” He looks at me with calm eyes that almost cover up his anticipation.
“Well…” I felt nervous. I definitely wasn’t opposed to it.
“Would you like to come inside?” I asked, which brings up a shine in his eyes.
“Yes! If that’s alright with you,” I nod and let him come inside.
-
“Poor WiFi service? Must be rough,” he unintentionally lays out the drastic difference in WiFi performance.
“To be fair, you’re the one with the fastest WiFi in the building. I thought it wouldn’t slow down with one extra- two extra devices,” I replied
“You have a point. How did you even know your name was the password?”
“Well… I did try your name, Izuku’s name, your full birthday, and-”
“Izuku’s name?!” he looked so worriedly confused, which made it hard to continue since I laughed too hard at his expression.
“Yes…” I composed myself and continued, “I played around and tried my name. It somehow connects. You know the rest,” he nods.
“So that’s why you threw your phone with such force. That’s… impressive. I heard it from my living room,” Shouto says.
He then looks at me with the same eyes from earlier.
“Will you go out on a date with me?” His smooth voice matches the calmness emitting from his body language. If I were to say no, he would accept it without taking it as an insult.
I smile, “Yes, Shouto.”
He sighs in relief, “I thought the password would’ve scared you away.”
I shake my head, “If anything, I’m glad we were able to confess.”
He reaches out for my hand, but stops and looks up at me. I nodded my head indicating my permission. He then intertwined our hands. Warmth makes its way around my face.
“I like this… We should hold hands a lot,” my heart flutters at his comment. His gentle smile and bright eyes toward our hands warm me up even more.
“We should.” I confirm.
At this moment, I was glad my poor internet connection led to the connection of our feelings.

The Very First Night (mha boys x you)
summary: you lose a bet and volunteer for a blind dating show for pro heroes. here's how the dates go with dynamight, shoto, and deku.
wc: 1k
cw/tags: aged up characters, mentions of food and eating, very very slight manga spoilers, reader is also a pro hero, language, just fluff and mha boys being idiots in love
note: asdjflasdkjalfksd i had so much fun writing this so i hope you enjoy !! this is what i offer you while i continue to chip away at all my wips <3
likes/reblogs/feedback are always appreciated :)

Bakugo Katsuki/Dynamight
he also lost a bet either to kirishima or denki lol
still puts in 100% because he'll be damned if he's with someone attractive and doesn't exceed their standards his pride can't take it
he takes you to a night market and pays for all of your food as long as he's allowed to freely critique it
questions why the fuck everything is fried
"HOW DO THEY FRY LEMONADE ITS A FUCKING DRINK"
"it should be considered a federal offense to add more fucking batter to a slice of cake"
"who the fuck would eat any of this- don't say you because i won't let you"
if you try to eat dessert first he'll steer you to savory items
and by steer i mean pick you up and throw you over his shoulder and walk away leaving the cameramen in the dust
if you're waiting in line to buy more food he'll heat his hands up and keep the trays warm <3
doesn't let you hold anything and is insistent on balancing all of your food on his arms
when you sit down with him you find he's actually hilarious and easy to talk to
like you're spraying fruit punch from your nostrils because of how hard he makes you laugh
it feeds his ego when you're cackling so hard you can't breathe and he just grins
if you have a crumb or something on your face he'll wipe it off with his thumb and call you messy (affectionately)
when you're done eating he follows behind you patiently as you browse through the different artisans' tables
he's very confused as to why people are fascinated with crystals
"i think this one is supposed to bring romance?"
"it's a fucking rock."
"hmm. guess it's not working.."
"shut up you don't need the rock you have me."
if someone looks at you for too long he'll get all protective and scowl even though he just met you
if there's a live band playing he'll either talk shit on the drummer or ask to play with them for a song so he can show off to you
he'll nonchalantly slide an arm around your shoulder and pull you closer to him at the end of the night
he doesn't have any charm at all, just straight arrogance and self-assurance and it's hot as fuck
he doesn't ask for a second date
he just texts you a time he'll be at your house to pick you up, blind date camera crew or not
Todoroki Shoto
was signed up to participate by his publicist because he's notorious for not attending press events or any media conferences
still rei didn't raise no BITCH so he goes all out to impress you even before you meet him
brings you flowers that he thought were pretty (doesn't matter if there's a meaning to them or not, he wasn't paying attention)
first you get coffee and pastries at a cat cafe (and if you're allergic then he'll take you to an upscale cafe and go on a walk with you in the park)
BUT BACK TO THE CAT CAFE
for whatever reason the cats just
gravitate to him
they like when he heats up his left side and just snuggle up against him
you're literally speechless from how cute it is
"what do i do now"
"you let them lay there, shoto"
"but my pastry"
you roll your eyes jokingly and feed him a bite of his pastry
he looks like one of the cats when he opens his mouth and takes the bite
when he wants another bite he'll just open his mouth like a toddler
if your coffee gets cold he'll just warm it up again
he talks to you openly in a low tone that the mics can't really pick up and that's the point he wants this shit to be secret
he doesn't ever want to go on another blind date again
just more dates with you
he may seem like a himbo but he knows exactly what he's doing to win you over
after the cat cafe you get soba (surprise surprise)
you switch bowls to try his food and let him try yours
you end up finishing his and he ends up finishing yours
if you have time he'll go window shopping with you and take note of what you linger by so he can buy it for you in the future
yeah mans is in love as soon as you feed him the pastry but he doesn't know how to express it yet
so instead he just shows up at your house and asks if you're free for a second date
"wait, like right now second date?"
"yes let's go"
"i need to get shoes, hold on"
"i'll buy you new ones. let's go."
Midoriya Izuku/Deku
signed up because he thought it would be fun and wanted to make new friends
but then oh boy
he saw you
and poor dude didn't know how to act so
ALL MIGHT MUSEUM
no i'm just kidding
ya know rogers the musical
he'd take you to see that
except it's all might and deku
is shocked when he is in it but he's played by a girl (ember island players anyone) who's doing like gymnastics all over the set that is definitely not his style
he's literally shrinking into his seat and covering his face with his hands like it's a horror movie
you end up laughing really hard together about how inaccurate the storyline is
during the part about vigilante deku the costume is so bad that you're in tears
"why do you look like the easter bunny?"
"it's supposed to be like all might's but they weren't THAT huge"
you're like grabbing his bicep in shock and slapping his hand when something exciting happens and he's not even watching the show anymore
he's watching you :)
you scream when bakugo is hurt during the first fight with shigaraki and izuku is very quick to remind you that kacchan is, in fact, alive
at the finale of the show you're curled up next to his body and he has his arm around you as you just watch in shock how badly they screw up the ending
"i'm fighting demons in my head to not pull down the curtain early with blackwhip"
"izuku.."
"do you think if i released fog everywhere they'd stop the show forever"
"IZUKU"
he's a little embarrassed but you honestly have the time of your life
afterwards he buys you ice cream and you sit on the street and just talk for hours and hours about your interests until the cameramen have to clock out
even afterward you still keep talking
you ramble just as much as he does
he loves to listen to you just as much as he loves to share about his life
he talks about his mom a lot lmao and all might and bakugo and basically all of his friends
definitely wants to introduce you to them even if you don't end up dating (but you do)
he asks for a second date right then and there

You left him for two minutes. All of two minutes.
On the rare days off that you and Shoto get to spend together, it’s almost always spent curled together on the couch or in the bed, watching him work out for fun before making him cheat on his diet, anything that lets the day drip by slower than any other day of the week.
You left him to pee. That’s it. Placing the bowl of sour candy down, you slip out from his lap, give him a kiss before moving down the hall like any standard, subconscious person would.
Two. Minutes.
“Shoto, what’re you doing?”
“You like the strawberry flavor the best.”
By the time you come out, he’s got a pile of pink candy, separated by the other colors except for purple, which is in its own little pile. “You don’t like the grape flavor.”
You quirk a brow and walk back over to him, watching as he continues to segregate the candies, “baby, I would’ve been more than happy to just pick around them, you didn’t have to do all of this.”
“But you don’t like them,” he repeats, looking up at you with those doe eyes that you love to get lost in. “You look down every time you reach for one. I thought I might help ease the burden slightly.”
Burden. Your first world problem of not liking sour grape skittles should be the farthest thing from a burden to him.
But to shoto, it’s not one, and it’ll never be one; little acts of services like these aren’t new, small details just to make hour by hour tasks and privilegies just that much easier.
It’s something he’s always done. Something he’s always going to do. Because he loves you.
With a smile, you slink back into his lap, your head nuzzling against his stomach while the tv drones on about whatever he put on while you were gone. You kiss the warmth of his tummy to feel the muscles constrict under the affection, and you bury your hand into the bowl of candy right after.
“Don’t be cheeky.”
“Don’t know what you’re talking about,” you hum. A hand rests on your head, thumb gently rubbing over the warmth of your crown as silence fills the room once again.
Popping a skittle into your mouth, your face quickly grimaces, and he hums in acknowledgement.“Eugh,” you grumble, and he looks down at you, silently asking you what happened.
And you want to lie. Truly! It’s better for everyone if you do, just tell him you bit your tongue and let him think nothing more.
But apparently, you don’t.
“Missed a grape one,” you tease.
“….”
“Sho?”
“Spit it into my hand.”
“Sho, no-“
older brother touya au, endeavor is still an asshole, shouto interacts w his siblings lol, bby shouto, hyper active kinda rough reader (you tackle shouto), shouto and touya have an unspecified age gap but i was thinkin like 10 years (so touya is 17 and shou is 7), just a liiiil bit angsty but mostly fluffy, lemme know if i missed sum else !

touya knows his little brother shouto is kinda weird.
he rarely ever sees him happy, or with any sort of emotion on his face for that matter. he has little habits that he hates not being able to follow and he's incredibly nit picky about them. he doesn't outwardly emote but that doesn't mean he couldn't be bratty when he wanted to be, cus he is but that's also about super specific weird stuff like what he wants to have for dinner (which always ends up being cold soba anyways).
he's also not much of a talker. he's a little shy, but he also just doesn't like talking. it's impossible to miss the huge red scar around his eye, he doesn't like to play outside and roughhouse like touya did when he was his age and he still doesn't have any friends at school. shouto never seemed to be bothered by it, though touya assumes that his peers might find him weird too.
except they better not, because touya's the only one who can call his brother weird. and deep down, he worries a little for him.
until he comes back home from school, his sweater is tucked out and there's a dirt stain on it. his hair is messy and his backpack is haphazardly closed, his little notebooks propped inside and his pencil case threatening to fall out.
natsuo, the one charged to pick him up that day, sheepishly scratches at his neck "he won't tell me what happened to him." he explains as touya practically charges towards shouto, he doesn't look hurt, so his older brother roughly turns him around to check his bag.
" but i told you what happened, natsu-nii."
"you don't have to lie, shouto--"
"what happened to you ?" touya cuts in, looking inside his brothers bag to check if nothing was missing, it looks intact from what he can tell.
"i played with my friend." shouto says simply, like that explains why he looked like he'd just walked through a hurricane. touya already knows he's gonna get an earful about this from his father. he inwardly groans.
"you sure your friend didn't just mug you ?" he flips his brother around and shouto's little arms flail as he does, unbothered by his brother's rough treatment. he tilts his head, touya sighs.
"bully you, i mean."
shouto's eyes widen, then he hurriedly shakes his head, denying him ever getting bullied and simply claiming he was playing. touya shares a look with natsuo, who looks just as unconvinced as him at his brothers words.
"who's this friend of yours, shou ?"
"yn."
"yn ?" both brothers say at the same time. shouto nods and touya catches a small little glint in his eyes as he looks back at him "she's really nice."
"this doesn't seem nice. you look like you got robbed." touya furrows his brows, sneering at his brothers dirty shirt. he starts dragging the youngest toward the bathroom. hopefully he'd be fully clean before their father got home and he wouldn't have to get in trouble. for god knows what reason. enji todoroki would probably find a way to place the blame on him, something about how he should've been the one to pick him up or gotten there earlier he guesses.
"yn likes to play games where you move around a lot." is what he offers as explanation. touya hums absentmindedly as he ushers his brother into the bathroom, deciding on how he should deal with his youngest brother's first ever bully. because of the age gap he doubts the kid is any smaller than his brother is, so he thinks he'll probably just try to scare off whoever this yn is.
"how 'bout i pick you up from school tomorrow and i can meet yn. that sound good ?" and shouto excitedly nods at the idea, gushing about how funny and nice you are and that you share your snacks with him. it's weird how fondly he talks about his bully, but touya knows his brother's always been a little weird, he probably has no idea what's happening to him. the thought makes him frown just a bit harder.
the next day after school, touya is already at the gates before they've even opened ready to scare the pants off of his brothers harasser. he sees shouto walking out of the gates with a few other kids, alone. the little boy perks up once he sees him and sends him a high wave, which touya returns with one of his own lazier one's.
"where's your friend ?" he tries his best not the spit the word too venomously, shouto doesn't seem to notice.
"yn is coming. her bag isn't closing well, so she told me to go ahead without her." he explains, reaching for his brother's hand absentmindedly.
touya is about to respond when he hears yelling. yelling that gets closer and closer to them until he notices too late that a little person is rushing towards his brother. before he can pull him out of the way the person has jumped onto shouto and knocked the both of them onto the ground. and touya watches flabbergasted as his younger brother does not look surprised at all, like shit like this just happened every tuesday. his mouth falls open when the little girl that had charged into his brother excitedly starts hopping slightly on top of him.
"shouto !"
"hi, yn."
touya is going to fucking lose his mind.
you get closer to shouto's face still sitting on him, touya assumes to make sure he could hear you even thought he doubts he couldn't before. " i thought ya left without me, i couldn't see you !"
shouto shakes his head, still on the floor "i said i would wait for you." he says seriously. and you practically beam, nudging your cheek to his and rubbing it against his affectionately. shouto doesn't seem fazed by it, but he definitely doesn't seem angry.
you don't seem like a bully, at least.
you finally realise you're not alone, looking up at touya strangely "who're you ?" you ask bluntly. shouto responds before he could. "touya- nii's my older brother, he's the one i wanted to show you."
you don't seem like a bully, especially not when you immediately turn to shouto the moment he opens his mouth, holding onto every word you hear. your eyes widen looking between touya and him, "that's your brother ?!" shouto nods proudly. you finally get off of him allowing shouto to get up too.
"coool !" you exclaim, but then you quickly turn towards shouto " but you're cooler, shouto !" shouto's eyes widen, before he almost bashfully looks away, claiming that his touya-nii is was way cooler than him. touya has never seen his brother this expressive before. it might not be much for others, and if he were anybody else he'd think so too. but even the fact his brows raise when you speak and he actually engages in conversation with you, as short as he keeps it, is surprising.
but from that small interaction, he can assume that you're not a bully. and he understands why his brother looked like he got jumped yesterday.
you're so much more different then him though, it's weird. you're hyper and giggly and chatty. you jump around and you can't seem to pull yourself away from shouto, who really doesn't seem unhappy although you're a bit rough about it. it’s like you’re glued to him.
shouto who barely even talks to his family talks to easily with you, even though you start the conversation all the time. shouto who only ever eats cold soba gleams at your promise to bring more snacks to share with him, like you apparently do every day. and shouto who touya barely ever sees emote, smiles when you tell him something funny. he can't tell wether his little brother smiles because he actually finds what you said funny or because you do. but whatever it is, it's making him happy.
touya is so shocked simply staring at his brother interact with another human being that he fails to use the little 'leave my brother alone if you know what's good for you.' speech he'd practiced the night before and suddenly you have to go. waving at him and shouto (not before hugging him with all your might first), who sadly waves back as he watches you leave. though he cheers up just a bit when with a last wave you tell him that you'll see him tomorrow.
touya, despite not having said a word feels incredibly tired, so he starts pulling his brother along home with him.
"so..that was your friend."
shouto nods "yn." he says.
"yn." touya parrots, eyes drifting from his brother to the road ahead of him. "she's kinda weird, huh ?"
at that, shouto's eyebrows furrow hard and he furiously shakes his head, tugging at his brother’s hand "no. she's nice." he corrects adamantly. touya stares at his brother, before looking away again "right.." he sighs "well, she seems to like you a lot."
his little brother nods again, a faint smile forms on his face "cus the people in class are mean to her. cus she's new and they say she's weird, but i don't think she is." he rambles, he actually rambles, touya blinks. he doesn't think he's ever been more surprised than he's been today. "yeah ?" is all he utters.
"yeah. people think i'm weird too, but yn says she thinks i'm cool." touya's eyes soften at his brothers words. he raises his arm up so his little brother is slightly lifted in the air. "course you're cool, you're my little brother." smiling softly to himself when shouto giggles.
touya knows that his little brother is weird, but he doesn't have to be worried anymore. cus it seems you like him, that you think he's cool and that you're weird too, in your own way. shouto keeps coming back home with dirty clothes and messy hair after that, but with happy and satisfied eyes and little candies he shares with his siblings that he made them promise to keep a secret. and he thinks his little brother will be fine, as weird as he is.

fem reader, fluff, hurt/comfort, reader gets into a fight, this fits into the weirdo! shouto ficlet i wrote, older bro touya au, shouto's scar, kindaaa non neurotypical shouto hinted if you squint lol, shouto n reader are lil misfits, lemme know if i missed sum else !

"can i help you, young man ?"
"i hurt my knee."
you're laying in the nurses office when a familiar voice hits your ears.
"oh really ?" no verbal response but you assume there's a nod because the nurse continues "what happened ?" she sounds skeptical.
"i fell." the person, a boy, replies. the nurse sighs, complaining to herself about kids these days coming to the nurses office for every little thing. you're still pretending to be asleep, not wanting to go back to class yet because you know your classmates won't leave you alone. your face is turned away as you hear the office door shut and soon after there's shuffling in the bed next to you.
your eyes snap open and you turn to see a scarred boy looking right at you, blinking slowly.
"shouto !"
"hi." he answers simply. unmoving, he lays on his stomach. after getting over your shock you copy him. "what're you doing here ?" you ask. your friend blinks in response.
"i hurt my knee."
you look at him incredulously "what are you really doing here ?"
shouto lays quietly simply staring at you. he has a habit of doing that, you've heard your classmates call it weird, but you like when he looks at you. his eyes are pretty. his gaze trails off towards the sheets, "i wanted to come see you." he admits. your eyes widen and you feel your ears burn. shouto doesn't seem affected by his confession, his face as deadpan as it usually is.
"everyone is talking about you in class." your nose scrunches up at his words, huffing with a scowl. "what're they saying ?"
"that you won."
that makes your scowl shrink a bit. your eyebrows raise and you shuffle a bit on the bed and hum. shouto only stares. he isn't much of a talker. you've noticed it's because he just doesn't realise that you're supposed to keep making conversation when you're talking with someone. your classmate mahoro says it makes things awkward, but shouto has such kind eyes when he looks at you, you don't mind. and sometimes, you don't really feel like talking either.
"you didn't have to do that you know." is what he says after a while, you blink at him like you'd already forgotten and he continues. "you didn't have to push tanaka like that, it wasn't a big deal."
tanaka, just the mention of the boy's name is enough to make your scowl return full force.
he's one of your classmates that keeps making jokes that all his other friends laugh at that aren't even funny. he doesn't bother you much, but he's kind of a bully and he makes a face whenever you end up on his team for dodgeball. he makes sure you see it too.
you don't care about him much, because he doesn't bother you. but he bothers shouto. you think he does so because shouto doesn't care to confront him about it so he thinks he's stupid. but shouto's the smartest in your class. today though, he went too far and it made you mad, so you shoved him and he'd shoved you back and suddenly you were surrounded by a group of kids screaming in your ears. your face stung from where he'd hit you and then a teacher was pulling you away from him. then you'd ended up here.
shouto hadn't been coming to school for a bit a while ago and when he did come back he had a huge bandage over his left eye. you'd tried to ask him about it but he never told you. so you never pried, but you heard the (not so quiet) whispers from your classmates and shouto who never seemed like he cared, furrowed his brows and slightly clenched his fists underneath your shared desk whenever he'd hear them. and it got worse when he took the bandage off, revealing a big red blotchy scar.
shouto doesn't usually mind what people think, but he'd asked you if he looked ugly and you assured him that you thought he looked super cool. (you'd never seen his eyes so wide and shiny, so pretty.)
tanaka had disagreed with you though. he opened his big mouth and told shouto he looked better with his bandage on. and you'd snapped. you hated that stupid bandage because it'd make his usual face so gloomy. because you only got to see one of his kind eyes and you loved looking at both.
and so, here you were.
"he had it comin', he made fun of you !" you scowl, shouto's brows furrow the slightest bit as well, mildly irritated. "but you got in trouble."
"well, he made fun of you !" you repeat. you both stay unmoving, laying on your stomach while the nurse is out on lunch break. shouto's lips move up into a pout and for the first time ever you hear him huff.
"i wasn't mad about it. i was fine." he insists, his eyes drift towards his fingers picking at his sheets. "you got hurt because of me, and i don't like that." he mumbles sadly. his cheek smushed against the hard pillow makes him look like a little puppy. you hear your heart in your ears.
"well, i didn't just do it for you," you try, "tanaka's always pickin' on everyone, so i taught him a lesson." you huff. you believed you sounded convincing, but shouto looks anything but convinced. others can't see it well, but you can.
"but everyone's gonna think you did it for me. and they're gonna call you weird again," shouto grips and pulls at the white sheets, you're worried they'll rip off and he'll get in trouble. "even though you're not."
you don't care, you'd been called weird plenty of times at your old school. but shouto's bothered for you and your heart beats in your ears "do you think i'm weird ?" shouto quickly shakes his head, as best he can in the position he's in. your chest feels warm and you smile.
"then i don't care what everyone thinks."
the sound of sheets crinkling stops, and shouto stares at you again. he sits up to instead go sit down on your bed. you bring your legs closer to yourself to make space for him.
"i still don't want you to get hurt, even if it's not just for me." his pretty eyes, one surrounded by red zero on you " i don't like it."
shouto never seemed picky to you. except when it came to his lunch (which was always cold soba) and the order in which he started his day at school (first he changes his shoes, then he takes off his jacket and then went to sit in his seat. exactly like this every day.)
he never told you he particularly liked or disliked anything, usually always shrugging. but he said he doesn't like seeing you hurt. it had made him panic when people started pushing him away to see the fight and he couldn't see you anymore. your classmates were talking about you and he didn't like it. the nurse stood in his way and he didn't like it because she kept him away from you for longer.
he does not like tanaka because he'd punched you in the cheek, your cheek that rises up like the sun when you smile at him.
i don't like when you get hurt, he says. i don't want you to hurt because of me, he thinks. you've got a bandaid on your cheek where you'd gotten punched, but you grin and your cheek rises like the sun, shouto hears his heart in his ears.
you hold out your pinky and promise him you won't do it anymore. holding onto your pinky is comfortable and even after promising he doesn't let go. not even when the nurse checks up on you and scolds you when you shamelessly tell her why you'd landed in her office. he doesn't let go in the hallways even when others are looking. they'll think you're weird for hanging out with him, but you told him you didn't care, and shouto feels like he's floating.
( he only lets go when you get to the principal's office. but he ignores the teacher who passed by and told him to get to class and wraps his pinky right back around yours when you walk back out. your smile is pretty like the sun.)
one time, touya-nii had called you weird, and touya-nii is always right. but this time shouto knows he's wrong. because your smile doesn't dim despite the bandaid on your cheek and you only look at him when you get back to class, despite the people calling for you, your pinky stays tightly wrapped around his, only moving so you can readjust and hold it better.
touya is clearly wrong, and shouto knows you're the nicest person in the world.

your boyfriend has a little habit of being sort of..spacey. or at least he looks like he is.
despite his..ditzy and aloof appearance. shouto is very acutely aware of his surroundings.
especially when you’re in said surroundings.
he’s walking along the hallways with his friends, they’re chatting about everything and nothing, school and about the results of their last test. shouto doesn’t feel the need to interject, happy to simply listen and respond when he’s spoken to. except his mind is also kind of elsewhere at the moment because even in there he’s looking for you.
no matter what he’s doing, shouto todoroki has a piece of you in his mind. if his friends are worrying about their test results he’s perfectly fine, cus he studied with you. the letters he sends to his mom talk about his daily life, with little details about you sprinkled in. his father is trying to coerce him into coming to his agency again, shouto thinks it’d be a lot more enjoyable if you were with him.
you’re not with them right now, because mr. aizawa had asked you to send in some papers to the teacher’s lounge. you said you’d catch up with your friends as soon as possible and shouto’s listening, he really is. but he’s also scanning the crowd hoping to catch a little glimpse of you.
“what about you, todoroki ?”
shouto blinks, hearing his name come out of his freckled friend’s lips as he blinks at him expectantly with a smile. ochaco and iida also seem to be awaiting a response.
okay, so maybe he hadn’t been listening as well as he claimed..
“i’m sorry. i didn’t catch that last part, what were you saying ?” he asks bluntly, midoriya doesn’t mind and he repeats “i was asking you how you think your test went.” he chirps, shouto hums thinking about the question.
“i studied well for it, so i think it went well,” his friends hum, iida congratulates him for staying focused on his academics, waving his hand around in chopping motions.
and of course, shouto is always looking for you, so nobody’s surprised when he adds “yn also helped me study, so i think i’ll be..”
everyone is surprised though when he suddenly trails off. and without another word shouto walks ahead of his friends further down the crowded hallway. the lack of “oh, give me a second.” or “ i’ll be right back.”, the lack of anything stuns the three students so hard they freeze into place. they wonder what could’ve made him speed off in such a hurry, until ochaco gets a good look and points towards the dual haired boy.
ah, shouto’s found you.
you’re surprised to see him, your eyes widen “oh, hey sho !” he returns your greeting, his face hasn’t really changed from an outsiders point of view, but he leans in towards you the moment the words leave your lips and his whole face has gone soft, almost pudgy when you smile at him.
“i didn’t except to see you, you scared me !”
he blinks at that, shock settles onto his face as he bows his head in shame “i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to..” simple, but earnest and it makes you melt.
“oh no, no ! you just popped up outta nowhere and it surprised me is all, got nothing to be sorry about.” you reassured, shouto’s expression changes and he returns, nodding happily.
“i missed you.”
you snort “i was gone for at most 10 minutes, shouto.”
“it was 11 minutes. and i missed you during that one extra minute, too.” if he had a tail, it’d be wagging at the speed of sound the way his face brightens when you laugh. you call him unbelievable and a small smile grows on his face
he’s just about to ask if you need help with your bag when you suddenly wave behind him. at your friends, who all share a sort of teasing, but also absolutely not surprised look.
oh, woops..

shouto’s the type to feel too far away from you when you’re not at arms length. so whenever he has homework to do he does it on his tatami floor while holding your hand. he’s unbothered too, arm not cramping or moving while he writes perfectly well (or he tries) with his other hand. when you think about your position you can’t help but laugh from your spot laying on the floor. shouto never gets what you find funny.
older brother touya au, quirk training is mentioned but no quirk mentioned for reader, abusive todoroki household, endeavous is a piece of shit, angst, kinda rough hyper fem reader (you push shouto at one point), lmk if i missed sum else !!

shouto, lately, has been showing up to school with bandages on his arms. and touya knows others find that weird.
for a while now, their father’s training had been more grueling than ever. touya recognizes it in the sounds of screaming and pillars breaking and the coughing of his younger brother as he holds back a sob. not like you could hear it over the sound of enji todoroki’s booming voice yelling at him to get up anyways.
touya recognizes himself from before he was deemed a failure. he recognizes the coughs and wheezes but he thinks his were slightly different from shouto. his tiredness left him sore and unresponsive, complaining about muscular pains that touya never complained about himself. maybe because he ignored them until they were too painful to bear, all to please his father. to be his perfect creation.
but he isn’t, shouto is. and the boy doesn’t like it one bit.
his little brother comes to him most nights sniffling, clinging to him and pleading for touya to let him stay the night in his room. and he always says yes, of course he will, cus he’s his little brother. who’s just a little weird, but who he cares about deeply.
shouto sniffles about how he doesn’t like training with father, how he wishes he could spend time with his older siblings again instead. touya’s eyebrows furrow and he squeezes his brother harder. because he doesn’t like it either.
“if dad ever pisses you off, you can come to me, yeah ? i’ll be there.” shouto chastises him for swearing as he calls it, but touya doesn’t care, cus it made his little brother giggle a little even though he barely does. and it makes him chuckle too.
he remembers what training with his dad felt like when he still had potential. he remembers it was kind of like a father son experience. his dad would look at him proudly when he managed to pull off a new move, praising him in the only way he knew how to and encouraging him to keep aiming higher, to make his fire burn stronger. that he’d even surpass him.
but then the burning started to hurt. then the training started happening less often, and when it did it more desperate than anything. nothing was ever good, he had to keep pushing, keep burning. harder, stronger and faster. because he needed to surpass him.
it didn’t feel like a father son anything after that, it wasn’t fun and his body hurt. but the sudden change in demeanor was jarring, he remembers. it hurts to remember how his father had gone from this to simply just..giving up on him. but he thinks it must be horrible for shouto to immediately go through the tyrant that is endeavor at such a young age, rather than at least liking it at first like touya had.
of course he wouldn’t like it, touya doesn’t like it either.

“sho, i think we should get married.”
shouto’s laying on the grass with you when you suddenly speak to him. his eyes widen just a bit and when he turns his head to question you, you’re smiling like the sun. he likes that about you.
“why ?”
you jump up, leaning over him a bit, everything else is blocked out but you, shouto thinks he prefers it that way.
“cuuuuuz,” you sing “it’d be fun, right ?”
“to get married ?” you nod. shouto blinks at you. and when he keeps looking you shyly look away.
he figures you’re somewhat right, though. in the movies he watches with fuyumi, people seem to have a lot of fun during weddings, they seem happy. shouto wants to be happy with you, as simple as that, so he responds with the first thing that comes to mind.
“okay.”
and if he thought you were the sun before, he’s proven wrong immediately because the smile you send him blinds him. he hopes you’ll smile like that again every single day, it’d make him happy. you squeal and pull him up to you to squeeze him tight, the sudden move hurts a bit, but he doesn’t mind. it doesn’t hurt like his father does and it’s you, so he doesn’t mind and let’s you squeeze him to your hearts content.
“we’re engaged now, then !” you tell him, “so that means your my fiancé. when we’re grown ups, i’ll ask you again, okay ?” you ask giddily, you stand up because you can’t stand still anymore and you pull him along with you. shouto readjusts your fingers so he’s holding onto your pinky (he likes it that way) and he nods. “okay,” he answers again.
natsu-nii told him that he should speak more once, because people think that one word answers are rude sometimes. but he doesn’t like talking to people, and he doesn’t care if they think he’s rude and you get so happy when he speaks to you. you’re the only person he wants to talk to and you’re happy, so why should that bother him ?
shouto can’t wait until he’s a grown up. he’s sure when he’s a grown up, he won’t have to listen to his dad all the time, he’ll be stronger and will be able to fight back. but now, he can’t wait to be a grown up so you can get married for real.

apparently, shouto’s getting pulled out of school.
he hears touya angrily talking with his nanny about him. they can’t see him from where he's hiding behind the door. shouto can't remember a time where his older brother had sounded so mad, not even when he gets mad at him for being a brat. touya always seemed the angriest when their father was involved.
he keeps swearing, calling something bullshit. but shouto realises that if he gets pulled out of school, he won't be seeing you anymore.
so, just to be sure. when training is over and his father has ordered him to patch himself up, he asks.
"are you going to pull me out of school ?"
shouto holds back a flinch when his father stops in his tracks and turns to look at him slightly. all he responds with is "who told you ?" shouto only shrugs. enji stays quiet before finally responding.
"it's what's best for you. you are meant to surpass me."
shouto doesn't like talking to his father, it makes him nervous. he misses when his mom was here to comfort him, to tell him it was okay to be scared sometimes. shouto picks at his bandages, his mom had told him to stop one time, because it makes them come loose. but he's nervous.
"but..i have to got to school.." he utters quietly, he clenches his fist to keep it from shaking. "i'll get you a teacher." his father responds easily, he doesn't understand. shouto bites his lip.
"but..my friend at school.." shouto keeps his eyes to the floor, he knows his father is looking down at him and he doesn't want to look back. "yn..will wanna know where i am..'cus she wants to get married.."
enji todoroki huffs loudly, grumbling to himself. "what do you know about marriage.." he scoffs, and he keeps it at that. walking off and before he slides the door shut, he reminds shouto to patch himself up.
shouto doesn't jump when the door slams. and now that he thinks about it he doesn't know much about marriage.

"i don't think we should get married anymore."
you're usually always talking, shouto likes that about you. but now you just blink at him.
"..what ?"
you're always smiling at him, shouto likes that about you. but now you're frowning at him.
shouto swallows, it feels hard to "i don't want to get married anymore."
you're frowning at him, it's hard to swallow. you like sitting on the swings with him, and shouto likes that you taught him to go on it by himself, but he thinks he's ruined it for you now.
"why not ?"
you sound sad, shouto doesn't like it. he wants you to be happy all the time. but he won't be able to go to school soon, he won't see you anymore. and that'd make you even more sad. he doesn't know what else to do.
shouto can't bring himself to respond because he doesn't have a reason. he wants to be with you, he wants to hold your pinky and he wants to marry you. he wants you to smile at him so hard it blinds him. but he doesn't know anything about marriage. besides what he's seen on tv and from his own mom and dad. and his mom doesn't live at home anymore, because his dad had sent her away. when you get married you have fun and you're happy but his mom never was. you're always happy and he doesn't want you to be sad like his mom was, because you're the nicest person in the world.
so he just shrugs. natsu-nii had told him that people would find that rude once, and he thinks maybe he should've listened. you abruptly get up and stand in front of him. he looks up at you and wishes he'd never had because you look so sad. you want him to think you're angry, but he can tell with you.
"so you lied to me ?"
he wants to say no, because he doesn't mean it. but in your mind he probably did, he looks away. he can't look at you anymore because your lip is wobbling like you want to cry. angrily, you push at his shoulder, shouto trains with his father almost every day, he has the bandages under his sweater to prove it. but this hurts so much more.
"i hate liars !" you yell at him, shouto's never heard you yell besides that one time you'd punched tanaka in the face and ended up at the nurses office. you push him again and your voice is wobbly when you tell him you hate him before you run away. you're leaving without him. shouto can't move from where he's still slightly swinging on the swing. he doesn't like it anymore, but he can't go anywhere, because you're not holding onto his pinky and he can't readjust it to hold yours better.
shouto feels colder suddenly now that you're away, but he can't move as he grips the bars of the swing tighter and his lip wobbles.
touya, for the first time in a while, sees his brother come back home completely clean. and extremely sad.

i didn't want to end this part so sadly but i couldn't help myself yall im sorry, i hope yall still love me !!!

shouto coming to bff!izuku for what he thinks is date advice except izuku slowly realises he plans to propose. the only problem being that you’re all still very much in high school.
