franziska is like, the total opposite of a contemporary aa character. she looks older than she actually is and at the bare minimum doesnt look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. she can be rude, she can be authoritative, she can be smart, she can be mean, and she can be all of these things at once.
yeah she cries once and opens up, but she doesnt magically become soft and sweet after this. she’s still the clever, confident abrasive person she’s always been even after she begins to grow. this is because the narrative knows this isn’t something that needs to be fixed, and is in fact part of what makes her likable.
she’s not tsundere. she’s not a defrosting ice queen. she’s just confident, competent, and a little bit of an asshole. and that’s what makes her a unique, lovable character.
Star Wars Rebels
I'm surprised I haven't posted about this yet. I'm midway through season 2 and am loving the show. True it's definitely more of a Legend of Korra to Clone Wars' Avatar, but like LOK Rebels has plenty of merits and deserves more credit then it gets at times. I love the found family trope with the Ghost Crew, the unconventional Jedi that is Kanan, the comedy gold of Garazeb, the adorable yet compelling Ezra, the absolutely amazing character that is Hera, the murderous Danny DeVito droid Chopper, and Sabine....also exists. I've also loved seeing its use of Clone Wars especially with Ahsoka and Rex and I'm genuinely just excited to see more.

My random Stardew Valley headcanon is that everyone vibes with Leah. It's not that everyone loves or likes her, but just that no one has a negative word to say about her. She is there, she is chill with everyone, doesn't bother people, and is very good to those close to her. She just doesn't cause any trouble or is inconvenient to anyone. She is nice when interacting with anyone, doesn't stick her nose in other people's business, and is willing to help. Like I can totally imagine her seeing Evelyn carrying groceries from Pierre's and offering to help if Alex is not there. Or, if she is working on something with Robin, she will bring food for everyone in the house.
She just gives off that vibe of a cool girl who minds her business and is just pleasant to be around. I feel like even people like Haley and Shane wouldn't be bothered by her. If you asked Shane what he thinks of Leah he would be like: "Who? Oh, the cottage girl... She is ok." Haley would think that her shoes were dirty but just wouldn't feel the need to say anything because every interaction with Leah is chill. They just stay out of each other's way and say hi when they pass each other.
