Once upon a timeâŚin a land far far away known as Lysende⌠There was a kind and benevolent queen and her brilliant and brave wife. They shared power with four prominent families and under their leadership the land was peaceful and prosperous.
A princess was born to the queens and everyone prepared a grand celebration to rejoice. But on that night there was an attempt on the lives of the royal family and their precious newborn princessâŚ
The queensâ closest knight was unable to save the royal family on that fateful night and so was cursedâŚ
The Prince of Winter was accused of conspiring against the royal family, and was beheaded as punishment.
Many believe the queenâs spies had turned against her and were in league with the would-be assassinsâŚ.
Some say the foreign ambassadors who came bearing gifts had ulterior motives and intended to start a war.
The princess and queen consort escaped in a sudden magical snow, never to be seen againâŚThe remaining queen fell into a magical sleep in her despair as the land succumbed to an everlasting winter.
The four great houses fought for the right to reign and assume the queenâs power, and so there came a great war. The bloodshed came to an end when they agreed to share power resulting in the separation of the capital, Altadellys, into the Seasons.
Some believe the princess will return, the queens will be reunited, and the long winter beyond the walls of Altadellys will finally end. Generations later that hope still livesâŚ
