nobody move i just had a revelation.

so, you know the Bailey School Kids books, right? the series about a bunch of children speculating on whether or not the seemingly innocuous grown-ups around them may actually be mythical creatures/wizards/undead/what have you.

i’ve seen that post joking about how the supposedly secret monster people in the books are just very obviously queer, but i just realized another interpretation: these books are just about nonhumans. i’m one of the weird grown-ups in this book series.

all this time, i was reading about werewolves and vampires and aliens living under the guise of humans, when i was the creature in human form all along!!
