Buried - Sapnap x Reader

image

Inspiration: Buried by iamjakehill

Warnings: A little bit of mental health talk, but it’s mostly just fluff

Theme: Sapnap is having a bad day, so the two of you just cuddle and talk.

Characters: Sapnap, Y/N

Sapnap woke up with a headache, which meant the rest of the day was already essentially ruined. You knew headache days pretty well, so when you heard him complain upon waking, you got up and went to get him water and something for his head. After he received his water and man-made headache relief, you went off to the kitchen to attempt a decent breakfast for the male.

You only set off the smoke alarm twice.

Once you finished up with plating the meal, you made your way back to the bedroom and set it on the bedside table. “There you go.”

He didn’t mind that it was borderline inedible, he was just glad that you had tried your best. With a mouthful of toast, he gave you a small smile. “Thanks, Y/N.” You shushed him, not wanting him to choke.

“Don’t talk with your mouth full, buddy.” You wave a finger at him and shake your head, so he shuts up and finishes his breakfast. He steals one of your pillows once he’s done, putting it behind him for extra back support. He motions for you to come over and cuddle with him, which was your favourite part about his headache days. You crawl over to him, collapsing into his arms and making yourself comfortable. Inhaling, you noted that he smelled strongly of sleep and some kind of new scent. It was probably the new stuff he’d bought the other day.

“Did you like breakfast?” You ask jokingly, knowing fully well that breakfast wasn’t your best meal to cook. He takes long enough to think about it that you burst into a little fit of laughter, and this gets a laugh out of him as well.

“I like when you cook, but while the notion is sweet, I think you could start going to cooking classes again,” He jokes, poking your sides gently. You fake pout, but it’s quickly replaced by a bright smile when he places a tiny kiss on your cheek. “But in all seriousness, I really do appreciate how hard you try to make me feel better. You’re really something special.” He runs one hand along your upper back, the other hand on your hip.

“I think me going to cooking classes would actually be beneficial for both of us. That way we can actually have good breakfast without having to go out to eat in the mornings. Plus... I want you to actually have good food when you have days like this.. because you do the same thing for me.” You beam up at him, and he ruffles your hair.

“Regardless of what you decide to do, you’re perfect. You being here at all is already very helpful to me.”

Skateboards on a Saturday Night

image

Warnings: slight injury and some strong language, but I think that’s it! If I miss any, let me know!

Theme: You and Sapnap are skateboarding. Or, well, you’re trying.

Characters: Sapnap, GN!Reader

“You can skateboard?”

The question was brought up when Y/N saw his skateboard, which they hadn’t actually seen before despite having hung out with their boyfriend at his place for quite a while now.

The male grinned from ear to ear as he held up said board, nodding. “Hell yeah I can! You should totally come out with me. It would be fuuun~!” His voice lilted in a teasing way, and Y/N rolled their eyes, but still stood to follow Sapnap outside. “Just know that, if you fall, I will be laughing at you,” Their boyfriend added, still grinning.

“If you laugh at me, I’ll chuck the board at your face,” They joked, nudging the dark-haired male in the side with their elbow. He nudged back, then leaned over to put a little kiss on their cheek.

“I don’t think you will.” The two stepped outside, and Sapnap placed the board on the sidewalk. The sun was already setting pretty fast, so they had limited light. “I’ll show you how to do it first.” He held up a thumbs-up to his partner, then sped up and down the sidewalk with ease. He made it look easy, but Y/N knew for sure it would be difficult for a while. When Sapnap came back up to them and stopped, Y/N wrinkled their nose at him.

“I think you just did all that to show off, mister.” They put their hands on their hips and watched as Sapnap hopped off the board.

“You know me so well. Anyway, let’s get you up on the board, alright?” Taking one of their hands, Sapnap helps Y/N up. Their legs wobbled, but Sapnap mumbled promises of not letting go, which helped their nerves calm slightly. “Good. Okay. I’m gonna be right next to you the whole time, holding your hand. If you could push off a little to get the board rolling, that would be great.”

“This is so stupid, it feels like this board is gonna fucking break. It’s so thin.” They huffed slightly, but pushed off like they’d been told. They moved slowly, but Y/N broke into a cold sweat anyway. They started to lean more to one side and ultimately fell off, but Sapnap was quick enough to catch them and put them back up on the board.

“It held me up, so it’ll hold you just fine. You’re doing good, Y/N. Just... move your feet further apart, you’re more likely to fall like that.” Slowly, they moved their feet, finding themselves feeling way more balanced already. “Alright, great. Will you rip me a new one if I have you try without holding my hand?”

“Yes.”

Sapnap chuckled softly but shook his head. “Well, I’m gonna have you do it anyway. I’m gonna let go in a moment, and I want you to try and keep the board going without falling off.”

After a few attempts at this, Y/N’s scraped knees, elbows, and bruised backside ultimately say that they’re done for the day. “I can’t believe you basically put me on the board like one of those people putting dogs on a skateboard. I’ve seen those kinds of videos...” Y/N laughed breathlessly, watching as Sapnap thought about that.

“That gives me an idea. I’ll be right back out.” Before you could object, Sapnap was running back to the building, shouting. “Dream! Dream, I need your cat!”

Reacting to You Falling

Request: I’m relatively clumsy so I was wondering if you could do hcs for mcyts of your choosing reacting to you falling? I imagine Tommy would laugh at me lol.

A/N: he would laugh at you. He does laugh at you in the hcs.

Dream:

- “Why are you so bad at walking? Get good.” - Despite his teasing, he still helps you back up. - The man isn’t the greatest at first aid, but he knows enough to know you might need a band-aid.

Tommy:

- IMMEDIATELY starts laughing hysterically - “You clumsy fuck! Even I’m better at walking than you!” - He probably helps you up, but after that, he’s still laughing too much to help you with your likely scraped knee.

George:

- “Did you just fall? Seriously?” - He’s smart. He knows (kind of) what to do, so you’re bandaged and iced before you know it. - “Wanna play Minecraft til you feel better?”

Sapnap:

- “Y/N? You okay?” - He falls a lot when he skateboards, so he’s basically a pro at first-aid.  - You two go to get food afterward to make you feel better. Your pick of where to go.

BadBoyHalo:

- Immediately fussing over you, because your knee must hurt. - He’s got fun band-aids, so now you get a BRIGHT neon green one. - “Take it easy, Y/N! You’re injured.”  - No matter how much you try to protest that you’re not so injured as to not continue what you were doing, he won’t take no as an answer.

Wilbur:

- Also laughing, but his laugh is too contagious for you to not laugh along. - Afterward, he’s helping you take care of your knee, explaining that you’re not supposed to fall when you walk. - “You’re silly, Y/N. So silly.”

Niki:

- Makes a bit of a deal out of it, because you’re hurt now! - “Hey, are you okay? Let’s get you cleaned up.”  - You two get to go out for ice cream afterward, luckily, since ice cream makes everything better.

Until Then - Sapnap x Reader

Theme: so following the trend of angsty breakup.... it’s Sapnap’s turn~~

Warnings: general angst, breakup stuff y’know? If I miss anything, lemme know.

Characters: Sapnap, Y/N

“I never fell out of love with you,” Sapnap explained. Y/N sat across from him at the dining room table, their expression unreadable as their soon-to-be ex-boyfriend spoke. “Don’t get me wrong, I want to keep being with you.”

Just before this, Y/N had been working on schoolwork, when their boyfriend came in with a downturned head and a sigh. Automatically, they had known something was up.

“So then what is it?” Y/N asked calmly, although on the inside, they were cracking. They’d always been good at masking emotions, because they’d learned that it was best to be calm. Let people say what they wanna say, and don’t sway them. Don’t make them feel bad.

They wanted to cry.

“It’s... I don’t know. Maybe we started dating at the wrong time. Maybe both of us are still too young to be doing this right now. I’ve been really busy with Dream, and streaming, and it’s just... it’s a lot.” He blinks a couple of times, and Y/N can tell by his reddening eyes that this man is trying hard not to burst into tears himself.

Y/N can tell he’s being genuine.

“Okay,” They reply slowly, resting a hand on his arm. “So what we’ll do is break up, but you need to tell me now if there’s a chance. If there’s a day we’ll be ready to be together.”

Sapnap blinks. It was that easy? Yet...

“Yeah. No, yeah, of course, Y/N! I want to be with you so fucking bad dude, you have no idea. So as soon as both of us are ready and want to be with each other, we can.”

“Then I’ll wait for you.” Y/N gives him a bittersweet smile and stands, hands shaky as they swallow back the lump in their throat. Now wasn’t the time to cry. “Anyway, I should probably go back home. I’ll text you when I get there.”

Sapnap walks them to the door, watching Y/N get into their car. “Drive safe.”

Texts, Returned - Sapnap x Reader

image

Request: you can’t keep me hanging with that Sapnap one, make another pls >:(

A/N: >:) I had it planned already mwahaha.

Theme: the calm after the storm y’all, here’s a bit of fluff to keep you guys satiated

Warnings: none. If I miss anything though, lmk

Characters: Sapnap, Y/N

They moved on for a while. Sometimes, Y/N saw something that reminded them of him, but other than that it was smooth sailing. It was a mutual thing. They focused themselves on life, but of course, that promise stuck with both of them.

Sapnap’s career continued to grow, his influence bigger the more he did. He was dedicated, that was for sure. He’d finally gotten to a point where he felt comfortable. He was doing so well.

Y/N it’s Sapnap. Wondered if you wanted to go to like.... idk McDs or smth. lemme know.

Although the two had texted fairly regularly still even after the split, they hadn’t actually seen each other since then, so this was new.

Sure, I’ll go get MacDons w u.

So here they were, across the table from each other, each with their own meal as they talked.

Y/N didn’t look up from their fries as they spoke, “Heard you’re doing really well right now. I’m proud of you, Sap.” They smiled to themself, popping another fry in their mouth.

“Hell yeah. Heard the same for you. Doing well in school, all that shit. It’s good. I’m really happy for you.” Sapnap looks up from his burger, over at Y/N. “Anyway, I bet you’re wondering why I invited you here.”

Y/N nodded, finally looking up from their meal.

“Well, I wanted to let you know that I’m in a good spot. I can’t say anything for you but it looks like you’re doing super well too. And... I dunno, maybe we can keep our promise. I’ve been thinking a lot about you this whole time, y’know? I just-”

“You’re saying you want to try again now that we seem a bit more ready for it,” Y/N interrupted.

“Yeah.” Sapnap chuckled, rubbing his hands together. “I just think that we’re both like... ready for it now, y’know? Obviously, if you don’t think so, we can wait longer. I’ll wait as long as you need.”

“Sap! Chill a little. I don’t want you to get worked up.” They smiled sweetly. “I think now is the perfect time to start again.”

under the bleachers [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them

synopsis: high school au!, jock!sapnap x unpopular!reader

wc: 2.6k

anon asked: "i am sapnap quenched, may I pls have some sapnap angst like maybe he gets jealous or there is a misunderstanding between you two causing an argument but it results in fluff"

a/n: i already had started this au, and anon gave me inspo to finish it! i hope this satisfies your sapnap needs :)

tw: couple of swears, angst to fluff!

in the movies, high school was all about the social hierarchy. the jocks and preps ruled the schools, while the nerds resided at the very bottom, with nothing to show but their shamed fashion and annoyingly high test grades.

when you got to high school, you imagined it would be different. it wasn’t, really. sure, it may not have been quite as eccentric as the movies foretold, but the gist of it remained. the athletes and cheerleaders held their heads high, though you guessed their status was more so earned from their bullying and threats rather than the sports they played. nerds were still disregarded, but they didn't all have horrible taste in clothes, if you did say so yourself.

brushing off your chosen outfit of the day, you sighed as you slid your books out of your bag, filing them nicely into your locker. you pulled out your book for your first class, sighing as the sounds of students scrambling about filled your ears. just another day at smp high.

“morning, y/n!” your friends wilbur and niki smiled as they approached, wilbur’s arm thrown lazily around niki’s shoulders. you arched a brow, but the two of them ignored your look, more than used to your antics.

“morning, guys.” you mumbled, finally shutting your locker and slipping off with the two of them, walking towards your first class.

“rough morning, y/n?” niki asked, frowning slightly. you shrugged, fighting off a yawn as the three of you stopped in front of the door. the two of them began the morning with music, while you started with chemistry.

“i’ll be fine once the coffee kicks in. don’t worry about me, have fun in class.” you smiled reassuringly, waving the two off as they entered the class, you continued down the hallway, avoiding teenagers running frantically to get to their homerooms on time.

you calmly reached your lab, entering and seating yourself in the same seat, in the far left of the class, middle row. also unlike the infamous “nerdy” stereotypes, you didn’t enjoy sitting front and center, and kept to yourself unless called upon. you quietly opened your book as instructed on the board in front of you, just as the bell for the period rang.

the lesson dragged on, you taking notes all the while. before you knew it, the bell rang once more, dismissing the class. you began to pile your things, when suddenly an arm came by and swept under your things, sending them all tumbling to the floor. you looked up, fighting the urge to roll your eyes.

“oops.. sorry about that.” sapnap snickered sarcastically. his friends behind him, dream and george, laughed loudly. you kept your expression stoic as you bent down to collect your things, scoffing at their childish actions.

the “dream team” as they insisted to be addressed, quickly got bored and left, probably to bully some freshman. they were your typical star athletes, with dream captaining and sapnap playing on the football team, and george captaining the soccer team. as most ‘jocks’ do, they had over inflated egos and you couldn't stand them.

as you gathered the materials off the floor, you noticed a small folded note. you looked around, but you realized you were the last student so you swept it into your pile and quickly made your way back to your locker to swap your books. you pulled out the note curiously, unfolding it.

‘y/n. meet me under the bleachers after class.’ you frowned, blinking down at the small crumpled paper in your hand. there was no signature, but you knew exactly who it wrote the message from the messy handwriting. sighing, you threw the note back into your locker, pulling out your next book, and pushing it out of your mind.

the rest of the day was uneventful, until the final bell rang and you quickly threw your books into your bag messily. niki and wilbur looked at you concerned, exchanging a small glance. they decided not to speak on it though, simply rearranging their own lockers for the night.

“i’m gonna walk home today, i think. it’s been a long day, and i could use the fresh air.” you spoke boredly, nervously gripping the straps on your backpack. your two best friends only nodded, and bid you a goodbye as they made their way to wilbur’s car. you huffed, closing your locker and heading in the other direction once they were out of sight.

you knew they weren’t stupid. they had to know something was up by now. you wanted to tell them everything; but he asked you not to. you wanted to tell wilbur and niki so badly about him, but the overwhelming need to please your boyfriend overpowered your own desire. for awhile, anyways. now you were starting to feel the drift in your friendship, and you were tired.

you arrived at the bleachers, seeing his broad frame anxiously awaiting your arrival. sapnap’s eyes beamed as he saw you approaching, opening his arms for a hug. you walked into his arms, but very half-heartedly reciprocated the hug. he pulled away, frowning.

“what’s wrong?” he asked, gently placing his hands on your shoulders, holding you in place as his eyes darted around your face in search of something wrong. you only shrugged his hands off, turning your back to him. sapnap knew something was very, very wrong by now. you usually basked in the short amount of time the two of you shared under the bleachers.

“y/n, you’re scaring me.” he whispered, and you sighed, crossing your arms and rubbing them comfortingly, reassuring yourself. you turned back around, now a decent distance set between you and your lover.

“i don’t know how much more of this i can take, sap.” you breathed, and his expression dropped immediately. he opened his mouth to speak, but you shook your head, silencing him. “this, us. it’s ruining me. you spend every waking minute of the day throwing things at me, breaking my stuff. then we come here for 10 short minutes every day to kiss, and then you leave again!”

“i’m trying to make this work-” he tried, but you once again, cut him off. you weren’t finished.

“no, you’re not! you won’t even let me tell my two closest friends - who, by the way, i’m losing because of you! soon i’ll be left with nothing! this isn’t a healthy relationship sapnap, and i’m sick of it!” you were shouting now, and you watched as his eyes darted nervously around, hoping no one heard you. you scoffed.

“you care so much about your reputation you’re more worried about someone hearing me, than you yourself hearing what i’m saying.” you stepped back then, desperately trying to fight the tears threatening to spill from your eyes. sapnap noticed, gulping harshly; he too was fighting tears.

“that’s not true, and you know it. i love you!” he choked, taking a step forward, and you shook your head softly, taking another step back.

“do you?” your voice cracked, and the two simple words broke both your hearts. you glanced at his face, only to force yourself to look away. you had never seen him so broken, and it was your fault. no. it was his fault, he did this to you both. without another word, you turned, leaving the heartbroken boy you loved so much, crying under the bleachers alone.

sapnap stood in pure shock as you left, a sickening feeling rising in his chest as the weight of your words hit him like a truck. you thought he didn’t love you. he sunk to the ground, silent sobs wracking his body. he didn’t once think about the fact football practice was starting, and that he was going to miss it. he didn’t care about that - he cared about you.

he wasn’t sure how long he sat under those bleachers, replaying every memory the two of you shared, trying to figure out where he went wrong. maybe it was the time someone almost caught the two of you making out under the seats, and he pushed you to the ground without a second thought, switching back to his typical bully persona. maybe it was the multiple times he promised he’d take you out for a real date, and never really did.

it wasn’t. he knew the real reason why you were upset.

the two of you laid in the grass under the bleachers, you simply resting your head on his shoulder as you talked about anything and everything. this was your first rendezvous in your newly declared ‘spot’, it was exciting and romantic all at once.

“hey, y/n?” sapnap called, and with a hum in response from you, continued. “can we, you know, keep this between us for now?” he asked, sheepishly. he’d just been personally accepted as dream’s right hand man, and was trying to perfect his image in this shitty school hierarchy. you never cared about it, but you knew he did. “it’s not because of you, it’s just-”

“of course, you don’t need to explain. i understand.” you smiled, and he relaxed, visibly. “just maybe not forever?” you added, hopefully. he smiled brightly, nodding quickly.

“i couldn’t keep you a secret forever, angel. in fact, i can’t wait to show you off to the whole school, and let them know you’re mine.” his words were like music to your ears, and you kissed him passionately, taking him completely off guard. the two of you pulled away laughing, simply enjoying each other's presence.

that was one of sapnap’s favourite memories of the two of you. ever since that day, tradition was to meet under the bleachers after school whenever possible. the visits became less and less frequent however, with dream demanding more practices and after-school hangouts. 4 months later, sapnap still hadn’t brought you up to anyone, and now as he pondered his relationship, realized he also neglected you.

determination flooded him, and he stood. he wasn’t going to let your relationship end like this, not without a fight. he quickly ran to the locker room, finding dream addressing some future tactics with punz. “dream!” sapnap called, and everyone’s attention flicked to him, some sending him worried glances.

“you missed practice.” dream’s voice cut through the silence, anger leaking from his tone. his eyes met sapnap’s, however, and softened immediately at the pain visible in his eyes. “okay guys, dismissed. get out of here.” dream announced, and the team whooped and hollered as they filed out of the locker room. soon, it was just the two boys standing in silence.

“you gonna tell me why you’ve been crying?” dream asked, a somewhat teasing tone attempting to mask the real concern he felt for the boy. sapnap was like a younger brother to him, he hated seeing him this way.

“i-have-a-significant-other.” sapnap rushed, and dream gave him a confused look. sapnap sighed, wringing his fingers nervously. “i, uh, sort of.. maybe have a significant other?” he muttered, and dream blinked, suddenly let out a loud laugh. sapnap flushed, embarrassed as dream began laughing uncontrollably, hunched over as wheezes slipped past his lips. tears welled up in sapnap’s eyes again, muttering a small “nevermind” as he turned to leave.

“no- no wait.” dream wheezed, desperately trying to collect himself. “sorry, sorry it's just - yeah. y/n. what about them?” he managed, breathing heavily after his intense fit of laughter. sapnap froze, turning back to dream.

“what did you just say?” sapnap asked, and dream chuckled, much more calm this time.

“y/n? the super smart kid you’ve been teasing nonstop for the entire year? yeah, george and i have known for a while. you’re not exactly subtle, sapnap.” dream explained, and sapnap flushed.

“what.. why didn’t you say anything then?” sapnap exclaimed, panic settling in. he’d put you through so much pain to keep this from dream, when he’d known all along?

“you didn’t ever mention them, we figured you would tell us when you felt ready.” dream shrugged, taking a swig from his water bottle. sapnap smiled a bit at this, but let out a heavy sigh.

“i really fucked up with them, dream. i don’t know what to do.” sapnap admitted, and he explained the situation to him in detail. dream listened intently, frowning as he came to a realization.

“sap, you.. you didn’t do this because you thought i’d stop being friends with you, did you?” he asked, hesitantly. sapnap didn’t answer, only dropping his gaze to the floor in response. dream sighed, bringing the younger male into a hug. sapnap startled, but clung to the boy desperately. “don’t worry, we’ll fix this.” dream muttered, and smirked as a plan started to form in his head. “i have an idea.”

the next morning, you arrived at school looking nothing short of a mess. you tried to hide the redness of your eyes, and failed miserably. hence why when half the school looked at you as you walked sluggishly to your locker, you thought nothing of it. you simply kept your head down and only lifted it when reaching your destination. instead of the regular brown metal however, your locker had sapnap’s jersey pinned to it.

you blinked, flushing as you realized everyone’s eyes were on you not because you looked like you’d been to hell and back, but because of this. you swallowed, swiftly pulling the jersey off of your locker and holding it in your hands, staring at it in wonder.

“i was hoping you’d wear it to our game friday night.” his voice cut through the buzzing chatter of students crystal clear, and you slowly turned to see sapnap standing with your favourite drink in hand, offering it to you sheepishly.

“what the- what are you doing?” you whispered, completely overwhelmed by the gestures being thrown your way. sapnap sighed, swallowing thickly.

“i’ve been a horrible boyfriend, y/n. you deserve so much better than what i’ve been treating you - and you’re right. it wasn’t fair of me to ask you to lie to your friends, or to hide under the bleachers. none of it was okay. i wasn’t lying yesterday. i want to make this work - i love you. if you’ll give me another chance, i’ll do better. i’ll be better. if you don’t want to though, i understand-” he rambled, and more tears welled up in your eyes.

“shut up and let me talk..” you cut him off, and he shut his mouth instantly. “no one has ever done anything like this for me. i love you too, sapnap. of course i’ll give you another chance.” you smiled, pulling him into a passionate kiss. claps and cheers echoed around you, and you pulled away, laughing at the situation in front of you.

suddenly, the football team came and clapped sapnap on the back, a chorus of “simpnap!” cheers following. he pouted, but you only shrugged, showing off the jersey in your hands. he sighed, accepting defeat. “only for you.” he whispered to you, and you smiled impossibly brighter.

the first warning bell went off, students left and right quickly scrambling away from the scene, and you followed suit, gently folding the jersey and placing it in your locker. “so? will you wear it to the game on friday?” sapnap asked, and you almost jumped - you’d figured he’d left with the crowd.

you pretended to think about it, seeing another adorable pout adorn sapnap’s expression. “on one condition.” you claimed, and sapnap looked at you expectantly. beckoning him closer with a finger, you leaned up to his ear, your voice barely a whisper. “meet me under the bleachers after class?”

all-star [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them

synopsis: reader's dad is the coach of the basketball team, and their boyfriend is the star player. only 'coach' doesn't know they're dating. (yes, another sapnap high school! au from yours truly)

wc: 2.7k

a/n: sapnap said his favourite sport to play and watch was basketball and this is what my mind did with that information. also thank you for 800 followers!

tw: swearing?, school mention, bit of flirting

you’d dealt with it since you were young. both your parents having been teachers, your mother being an elementary teacher and your father being a high school teacher, you’d always felt the favouritism and familiarity that come with being the child of a teacher.

as you got older, the more accustomed you got to it all. especially in high school, since your father also happened to be the coach of the boys’ basketball team, and though “football” is usually the go-to sport of a typical american high school, your school excelled at basketball. which, by default, meant he was very well-known and well-respected by the student body.

much to your distaste, this meant a lot of potential boyfriends were scared off by your dad’s menacing glares and empty threats - a coach can be very, very scary when he wants to be - especially if said boy happened to be on his team. by your sheer luck, your crush happened to be his star player.

luckily, having your dad as the coach proved to be quite useful in the boys’ aspect. you’d stopped by countless practices, making up an excuse about not wanting to take the bus on that particular evening, and watching the rest of practice without question. you couldn’t do it too often to avoid suspicions, but your father taught you well and you probably understood the game better than half the actual players, anyways. it wasn’t hard to pretend to be interested.

game nights were even better excuses, because not only were you there alone, but most nights the entire school showed up, and with the perk of arriving early with the coach, you always got the best seats, where you could shamelessly and inconspicuously watch him, number 01 on the court. like every high school jock ever, he went by a nickname. sapnap.

he was so much more than a simple jock, in your eyes. he was one of the kindest boys in your grade, always offering smiles everywhere he went, and though he was aware of his advanced skill in the sport, he was always humble.

maybe that’s why you fell for him. or maybe it was the lingering glances the two of you would share in each of the classes you had together. or maybe, just maybe, it was the idea you couldn’t be with him, the idea that your dad would make his life miserable.

that was, if he ever found out.

it wasn’t an easy feat, the two of you hiding from your father. from time to time, you swore he knew about your secret, subtle conversations seemingly hinting at something more - but he was old, and naive. there was no way he wouldn’t have said something by now.

you walked into the lunch room, glancing around and looking for a certain head of brown hair. once you spotted him in his signature letterman jacket, you slipped into the seat next to him, smiling as you nudged him purposely. he smiled down at you, and did a quick glance of the cafeteria, before leaning down and placing a small kiss on your lips. you smiled brightly, heat creeping up your cheeks. you’d never get over the way he made you feel.

“coming to practice tonight?” he asked, and you rolled your eyes playfully, letting out an exaggerated huff.

“do i have to?” you pouted, and he laughed, wrapping an arm around you as he did so. you weren’t too fond of the confidence radiating off of him, so you decided to fire back slightly. “don’t get me wrong, you’re really hot when you play. like, really hot.” you started, watching out of the corner of your eye as his eyes flew open and he gaped at you, jaw dropped. “but you guys have the big game tonight, so i’ll be watching you play later anyways!”

sapnap swallowed, before taking a second to recompose himself. “the game is why you should come tonight! c’mon, y/n. maybe you can even give us some pointers, since you’re so interested in the sport.” he teased, and you rolled your eyes, shaking your head.

“i swear, tommy doesn’t know what a layup is! how does he mess it up every time? it’s just a few steps and a shot!” you complained, and sapnap laughed, basking in the moment. you’d never admit it to anyone, but you liked that you knew enough about the sport to hold a conversation with your boyfriend. though you weren’t interested in the sport itself, it was nice to be able to talk with sapnap about something he cared so dearly for.

he leaned down then, placing his mouth next to your ear, smirking at the hitch in your breath at his proximity. “just come tonight. for me.” sapnap whispered, and you sighed, nodding. he smiled brightly, tugging you towards him, and wrapping you in a tight hug.

and thus you found yourself doing homework on the empty bleachers once more, stealing glances at the court every so often. you watched as the team played a quick 5v5, the ball being stolen, passed and shot, you adding in your two cents every few plays. before you could even process it, the practice had ended.

“alright boys, bring it in!” your dad called, and the group quickly filed in, forming a small circle around him. “i need you all here for 6:30, no later or you’re benched. game starts at 7:00 sharp. tonight is important, people. if we win this game, we’re moving onto the championships.” his firm tone echoed in the large gym, and the boys let out a series of whoops and cheers. “now get out, i’ll see you guys this evening!” he dismissed, and the boys cheered once more, parading out of the gym as a unit.

a certain brunette glanced up at you as he passed, flashing you his signature ‘i-just-killed-that-shit’ smirk, and you softly smiled back, only for a moment, before turning your attention back to gathering your things, as to not keep your father too long. the two of you headed home, chatting about the excitement for the night ahead.

“i really think you guys have a chance at beating the other team. especially if the guys play like they did at that practice!” you babbled, your dad nodding in agreement. he seemed to be thinking deeply, and you paused, turning to face him. “dad? is something wrong?” you asked, nervously.

“no, no. nothing’s wrong. just thinking about something.” he assured you, and you sighed, motioning for him to continue. “well, kid. you’ve practically been training these guys as much as i have - i don’t think i could’ve managed this team as well as i have without you. what do you say, why don't you sit on the bench with me as assistant coach?” he prompted, and you blinked in surprise.

“i’d love to!” you exclaimed, jumping forward and tackling him in a tight embrace. he smiled, returning it, before pulling back and gathering his things from the bench.

“i forgot my keys in my classroom, you can just wait here while i run upstairs. sound good?” he asked, and you smiled, nodding. he left, and you sighed happily, basking in the recognition you didn’t feel you deserved, but certainly appreciated.

“assistant coach, huh?” a familiar voice asked, and you turned instantly, smiling even brighter at his slightly disheveled appearance, his hair wet from a quick shower. he stepped towards you, quickly pulling you by your hips when you were within reach, tugging you so that the two of you stood face to face, lips only inches apart from one another. you giggled dreamily, slowly leaning forward and pressing your soft lips to his slightly chapped ones.

he pulled away slightly, and you paused, confused. “assistant coach sounds pretty hot.” he mumbled, and you pulled away, dramatically slapping his chest. “ow!” he mocked, and you rolled your eyes, grabbing him by his sweatshirt and pulling him back to you, leaving a searing kiss on his lips. he squeaked in surprise, hands flying back to your waist, before you pulled away completely with an evil smirk.

“good luck, lover boy.” you teased, and your timing seemed perfect as ever, hearing your dad call for you only seconds later. “coming dad!” you picked up your things, sapnap still frozen in place, cheeks flushed. “see you tonight.” you whispered as you passed, scurrying off before he could get in another word.

the next few hours leading up to the game could not have been any longer. you tried to do homework, reading, drawing - anything to help pass the time. all attempts ended futile though, and you settled for texting sapnap mindlessly, the two of you radiating excitement. after what felt like a lifetime, your dad called for you to gather what you needed and to head to the car, and you didn’t need to be told twice.

once you arrived, you began making your way to the bleachers, before pausing and turning towards the bench, following your dad, who looked at you proudly as you sauntered over, taking a seat next to him. the team walked into the gym, uniforms on and stretching as they advanced. “get warmed up guys!” your dad announced, and they instantly obliged. as they practiced, students filed into the bleachers, bearing banners and school colours - from both schools.

a whistle blew, and the teams retracted to their benches, your dad pulling out his clipboard. “okay, sap - you’re going to start here..” he explained each player’s positions and the tactics they planned on using, and with a small cheer, your boyfriend led his teammates onto the court, standing face to face as he prepared to jump for the ball. the ball was tossed, and the game commenced.

the scores were neck and neck, with the score 52-53 for you, with two minutes remaining. “just one more, guys.” you muttered under your breath, anxiously watching the group of boys fighting over the ball, intercepting passing and maneuvering around each other. you glanced at the clock as the time passed quickly, down to the last minute thirty. “get the ball to sapnap!” your dad called, and the team scrambled to grab ahold of the ball. sam quickly stole it mid-pass, quickly spotting sapnap, who waved his arms frantically. sam threw the ball, and sapnap caught it easily, but was quickly swarmed by the other team. he held the ball tightly, glancing for an opening. he saw two options: he could push through the guy in front of him and run down the court, but he also spotted tommy at the other end of the court, right by the opponent's net, completely unblocked.

in the last few minutes, dream was injured and tommy was subbed in, though he wasn’t usually someone’s go to - hence why he had no defence whatsoever. they didn’t see him as a threat. with only seconds to spare, sapnap made his split-second decision and called out “tommy!”, before tossing the ball confidently, and tommy froze for a moment as the ball landed in his arms.

“tommy! do a layup!” you yelled in a panic, and he quickly sprung to life, dribbling once before taking two small steps and leaping, shooting the ball against the headboard. everyone held their breaths as the ball bounced around the rim, before settling and tipping into the net, just as the final buzzer went off. the bleachers erupted into cheers, and you joined in, the team all rushing onto the court to pick up tommy onto their shoulders in celebration.

you momentarily forgot about your dad, and beaming with excitement, you ran towards sapnap. you threw your arms around him instantly, mumbling congratulations. he laughed, wrapping his arms around your lower waist and picking you up, spinning you around. when he gently placed you on the ground, you reached up, kissing him softly. he returned the motion, and as you both pulled back, there was a twinkle of pure fondness in his eyes.

“ahem.” a deep voice called, and you tensed, slipping out of your boyfriend's embrace and looking guiltily at your dad, expecting a face of pure anger. instead, your jaw almost dropped as you saw a proud smile across your dad’s face.

“dad?” you questioned, your voice laced with pure confusion. your dad laughed out loud at this, and you frowned. you waited for a moment for his laughter to die down, wondering why he wasn’t trying to rip your boyfriend's head off. “are you okay?” you asked, hesitantly.

“okay? of course i’m okay.” he scoffed, waving off your discomfort. “i’m just surprised you lasted as long as you did!”

you and sapnap glanced at each other, silently asking if either of you understood what was going on. you didn’t. “uh, i’m not sure what you mean, coach.” sapnap chriped, and your dad gave him a ‘seriously?’ look.

“c’mon you two, you don’t seriously think i didn’t know you’ve been seeing each other this whole time.” he asked, and the two of you gaped, awestruck.

“you knew and you didn’t say anything?” you asked, shellshocked. your mind was running a mile a minute, unable to process what your dad was really saying.

your dad shrugged, “i thought you’d tell me when you were ready.” when you and sapnap stayed quiet, he sighed. “y/n, you know sapnap is my favourite student i’ve had. if you’re going to have a boyfriend at your age, which i still don’t think is really appropriate-”

“dad!” you defended, and he chuckled.

“sorry, sorry. anyways, if you’re going to be dating someone, i'm glad it’s him. you’re a good kid, sap. just don’t be an idiot and break their heart, or else. got it?” his tone was slightly joking, but the underlying threat was clear. sapnap smiled, nodding.

“i would never, coach.” his words were confident, smooth. it was a promise to both you and your dad, and you smiled, reaching for his hand and giving a small squeeze. “say, coach.” sapnap paused, and your dad nodded, motioning for him to continue. “would you mind if i took y/n out to celebrate? i’ll drive them back home by 11.”

your dad smiled fondly, nodding. “i suppose that could be arranged. i would suggest, however, you shower first though, sap.” he teased, and sapnap sputtered, taken off guard. your dad laughed, turning and walking away from the pair of you. “see, good kid.” he mumbled, mostly to himself.

once sapnap had gathered his things, the two of you had driven to a park not far from the school, some fast food you’d stopped to get on the way in hand. you simply sat in his seats, soaking in silence as you ate. a thought curiously prodded at your mind, and you decided to indulge it.

“can i ask you something, sap?” you questioned, and he nodded, glancing your way. “why didn’t you make a break for it? i know you saw the opening i did. instead, you gave up your shining moment and gave the ball to tommy, you let him have it.” your words weren’t judgemental, simply curious and slightly surprised. sapnap chuckled, leaning back in his seat.

“i don’t need the glory all of the time. i get the team relies on me a lot, but they don’t need to. they're just too scared to make the risky moves on their own.” he paused, thinking. “besides, tommy was unguarded, and he works well under pressure. i had no doubt he’d make the shot.” he shrugged, and you smiled fondly at him, leaning over the console and pressing a small kiss to his cheek.

“you’re perfect, you know that?” you mumbled, and he smiled, reaching over and cupping your cheek lovingly. you stared in silence for a moment, simply soaking in each other's presence.

his lips tugged up into a smile, before he began to whisper. “you know, the real reason i don’t need the glory is because i have the best prize already, sitting right in front of me.” you couldn’t fight the smile making its way onto your face.

“you’ll always be a winner in my heart.” you whispered, and he beamed, pressing his lips to yours once more.

“as long as i have you, i’ll always feel like a winner.” he mumbled against your lips, and as the two of you continued to kiss over the console of his car, you couldn’t help but feel like a winner yourself.

ghost [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them (none mentioned)

synopsis: you left, and all he has left is the ghost of you.

wc: 0.8k

a/n: inspired by justin bieber's 'ghost'. 10/10 song, i definitely recommend. also idk what this is i just wanted to post something!

tw: just angst, no happy ending sorry </3

Ghost [sapnap]

"since the love that you left is all that i get

i want you to know that if i can't be close to you

i'll settle for the ghost of you

i miss you more than life"

Ghost [sapnap]

losing someone important in your life is always painful. sapnap knew that. but he’s never felt pain like this before.

it wasn’t physical pain, no, it was emotional pain. and that was much, much worse. because there was no amount of medication that could heal his deeply cut wounds.

it was like a searing sensation in his chest, as though someone had grabbed his heart in their hands and began kneading it relentlessly, squeezing out every emotion he could possibly muster.

it never stopped.

it would never stop.

you were gone from his life.

and he missed you.

he missed waking up next to you.

he missed the cute little yawn that escaped your lips when you woke up, or the quiet mumbling of complaint as you set your alarm to snooze.

he missed the way you would pout when he left your shared bed, begging him for more cuddles and sleep. he could never say no to you.

sometimes, he swore he could still hear the faint sound of your soft, sleepy giggles echo through the room, the ones he’d receive after placing gentle kisses on your face in the early hours of the morning.

he missed the way you expressed yourself.

he missed the sparkle in your eyes when you brought up something you were passionate about, or the doe-eyed expression you’d give him when you felt uncertain and needed his reassurance.

he missed the way you always talked with your hands, emphasizing your points with random gestures and catching everyone’s attention. he thought it was the cutest thing he’d ever seen.

he missed your personality.

he missed the way you sang at the top of your lungs and danced around the kitchen when you thought no one was home, or that he was busy. and then how you would get flustered when he made himself known.

he missed how you would skip when you were happy, how you would become super cuddly when you were upset, how you would beg him to take spontaneous adventures with you at 3am in his car blasting shitty music and taking stupid pictures on your polaroid camera.

he missed you when he streamed.

he missed hearing the floorboards creak under the weight of your feet while he was streaming, a reminder that he was not alone. though he was comfortable with his streams, having thousands of viewers watching you could be quite overwhelming, and your presence always grounded him.

he missed when you would quietly knock on his door, making sure he was muted before offering him a variety of snacks, drinks, or anything he needed. you always made sure he was taken care of, and he couldn’t believe he took that for granted.

he missed falling asleep next to you.

he missed the way you would throw yourself on the bed carelessly, provoking squeaks of protest from the mattress. he missed the way you would start spontaneous pillow fights, making a mess of your freshly made beds.

he missed your comforting presence next to him as he drifted off. he missed the way you used to draw shapes on his chest with your head resting next to the mindless scribbles. he missed having his legs tangled with yours as you fell asleep, having the security of each other's embrace as you fell into another nights’ slumber.

he missed you, more than life.

everything reminded him of you.

whenever he saw a poorly parked car, he remembered teaching you how to drive. whenever he saw a cat running across the street, he remembered when you’d found a stray and the two of you had brought it to a shelter, successfully rescuing it.

whenever he passed the coffee shop, he remembered the first time he laid eyes on you from across the cafe.

as if he wasn’t being tortured enough, the apartment you two picked out - together, mind you - seemed to have a permanent mark of you.

a ghost of you, if you will.

every building has its own unique sounds and creaks, but sapnap could not have possibly been unluckier. because every sound he somehow connected to you.

the creaking floorboards from the neighbors upstairs reminded him of your own feet pattering down the hallway to visit him, hard at work. the dripping of the leaky faucet echoed off the empty walls and to him, sounded like the soft morning giggles he missed so much.

he was reminded of you cooking each night when he used the oven. he was reminded how you tumbled down the stairs every so often when he heard the cat hopping down by his own free will. he was reminded of your silly antics every time he sat on his bed and heard the familiar creaking.

he couldn’t escape.

a part of him found it all oddly comforting, in a way.

because if he couldn’t be close to you, he’d settle for the ghost of you.

flirt [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them (none mentioned)

synopsis: “did you just use a pick-up line on me?” “is it working?”

wc: 1.8k

a/n: here's my piece for @scare-crowed's 600 event! congratulations again <3 (also i got very carried away, sorry not sorry!!

tw: cursing, relentless flirting

sapnap was one of the most flirtatious people you’d ever met.

it didn’t matter who you were. his best friend, a friend of a friend, or someone he hardly knew. he was unrelenting, constantly trying to catch his peers off guard and ultimately, get them flustered.

you simply happened to be one of his many victims.

the thing about sapnap was that he was fueled by reaction. he seeked validation, thrived off of the embarrassment of those he held closest to him. it was his own little game, and he always won.

that is, until he met you.

see, when you’d first met sapnap, you mistook his flirtatious nature for someone with an overly-large ego. (in your defence, sometimes it’s hard to read people through a screen.) because you weren’t too fond of cocky attitudes, when sapnap’s playful flirting was directed towards you, you shut him down. every single time.

sapnap was used to retaliation from anyone, so when you wouldn’t reciprocate, it threw him for a loop and left him in stunned silence. he wasn’t sure he’d ever been picked on more after a joke of his went poorly. his competitive nature wasn’t having it, and a new mission was formed. he would flirt with you until you responded, he needed it. just once.

you picked up on his motives fairly quickly as your friendship progressed, and the two of you grew closer. your actions were no longer spiteful of him, but you knew how badly he wanted to elicit a response from you, so as the amazing friend you were, you refused to give it to him. it was your game now, and you both knew it.

“hey cutie” he greeted, as soon as he noticed you had joined the discord call. you rolled your eyes dramatically, despite him not being able to see you.

“g’morning guys.” you instead replied, greeting the group as a whole.

“y/n!” sapnap whined, making the group burst into a fit of laughter. they too had picked up on your mischievous plan, and they lived for the blatant rejection sapnap faced every time you spoke. you didn’t like to think of it as rejection, since everything between the two of you was mainly playful and strictly platonic, but the boys had their hearts set on calling it so.

the irony of it is that had it been real, you wouldn’t have rejected him.

sapnap was competitive as hell, and so he was willing to do anything to make you break. send you cheesy pickup lines over text, compliment the hell out of you when you had facecam on, or just call you at random times of the day to talk with you, adding flirtatious comments here and there.

though at first it was slightly annoying, at some point (you weren’t really sure when), the feeling of annoyance shifted into something else. something like endearment.

you’d smile when you saw his name illuminate your phone screen. you felt heat rise to your cheeks when he’d call you pet names. you anticipated any sort of communication from him.

you grew to love the attention.

if you were being honest with yourself, you grew to love the attention from him.

you had long since fallen for your overly flirtatious friend, and it was going to be the death of you.

sapnap had been growing impatient, and recently had taken to flirting with you on stream way more than usual. if you thought the shipping between you was bad enough, that stream amplified the comments tenfold. every social media you had was flooded with mentions about you and sapnap’s supposed secret relationship.

you pretended to be mad at him after, but you knew deep down you wanted it to be real so badly that you allowed yourself to indulge in the idea for a short while. and after that, you were simply embarrassed. you had your facecam on for that particular ‘chill’ stream, and you’d turned visibly flustered at his commentary - ending the stream abruptly.

in retrospect, that was probably the worst thing you could’ve done.

sapnap instantly checked up on you, asking if he had crossed a line and if you were okay. you assured him you were, and that you would still be on his stream later, as promised. you just needed to take a short break.

in reality, you weren’t all that upset - simply feeling like you needed to get back at sapnap for his little show in front of thousands of viewers. and you knew exactly what you needed to do. luckily for you, sapnap was doing his long awaited shock stream later that day, and he would have his facecam on. it was perfect.

you wasted away the day, finally sitting excitedly at your desk, prepared for the stream. you joined discord as sapnap was doing his intro, muted and deafened. you grinned mischievously. “hey guys.” you greeted dream, george and quackity, who sat quietly waiting for sapnap to be ready. “guess who’s gonna end the flirting game today.” you teased, and they gasped, excitedly.

“why today?” george asked, suspiciously. you laughed, shaking your head despite them not being able to see you.

“he embarrassed me in front of my stream. i’m simply going to return the favor.” you mentioned, casually. before they could comment however, sapnap undefeaned, introducing the chat to his guests and the stream began.

it was casual for a while, sapnap avoiding being zapped at all costs, and it was making for quite a boring stream for the viewers. naturally, as a guest, you were obliged to spice it up, right?

“you look good today, sapnap.” you commented, deciding to rile up the chat a bit. sapnap laughed lightheartedly, looking at himself in the camera lens and adjusting his hair.

“you think i look good, y/n?” he asked, teasingly. you sighed dramatically, ensuring your mic picked it up - you wanted him to believe this would be just another blow off to get the best reaction from him. watching his screen, he was currently exploring a cave with a few mobs surrounding him, not yet close enough to attack. he began mining some iron, not worrying about the monsters.

it was now or never.

“oh please baby, if you were words on a page, you’d be fine print.” you said nonchalantly, hearing a series of responses elicited from your friends. the guesting feral boys burst into laughs, while sapnap’s line fell quiet. you were glad you didn’t have a camera on you at that moment, struggling to hold it together and biting back a laugh.

“did you just use a pick-up line on me?” he asked, bluntly. his cheeks had turned a bright red colour, his mouth slightly agape in pure shock. dream’s wheeze cut through your headphones, followed by george and quackity’s loud laughter.

“well, that depends, is it working?” you asked, innocently. you watched the chat burst into excited messages, all spamming the ship name they collectively agreed on for the two of you. you saw tons of comments about his reddened cheeks as well, which made you smirk successfully.

sapnap opened his mouth to answer, but rather than a response, a scream echoed through the call. “what the hell!” he yelled in pain, instantly refocused on his game and the variety of mobs attacking him at once. “y/n!”

you finally joined in on the laughter, unable to breathe as you doubled over watching the poor boy struggle to regain control. his screams lasted another minute or so before he was breathing so heavily it was being picked up by his mic, and his chat was losing its mind.

“sorry, sap. you weren’t getting shocked enough for my liking. thought i’d kill two birds with one stone and shock you in more ways than one.” you said slyly, and he pouted, complaining to his chat about how rude you were. most of them agreed with you though, making him sigh in defeat.

another hour and many laughs later, sapnap finally managed to beat the game and ended his stream swiftly. you bid the group goodbye, no longer in the mood to be on live while the others were moving onto quackity’s stream.

it had been maybe ten minutes when your phone began to ring. you picked it up, not surprised to see a facetime request from sapnap. you answered, greeting him with a large smile. “hey, sapnap.”

“what was that?” he questioned, instantly. he didn’t seem angry, but he didn’t seem exactly happy either. you frowned, suddenly feeling a slight remorse.

“you embarrassed me on my stream, i wanted to repay the favor.” you said, quietly. he seemed to ponder this, running a hand over his face.

“that’s all?” he questioned, curiously. you blinked in confusion, trying to think of what he could possibly be implying.

“what do you mean? what else would it be?” you replied, tilting your head to the side to emphasize how lost you were.

“i was hoping- nevermind. you got me good.” he changed the subject, but you could see there was something else being his eyes. disappointment?

“hoping what? you know you can tell me anything.” you pressed, and he pulled his gaze away from you, seemingly very interested in whatever laid in front of him, out of your sight.

“it’s just, uh, what you said. is it working.. it sounded like a genuine question.” he mumbled, and you swallowed.

“did it?” you squeaked, all earlier confidence dissipated. confrontation was not a strong suit for you.

“yeah.” he breathed, finally looking at you once more. you were sure he could tell your sudden change in mood with a quick scan of your expression, and he took a deep breath. “was it? a genuine question, i mean.”

you paused, swallowing nervously before slowly shrugging. “if you want it to be one, it could be.” you looked intently at the floor, and heard him let out a small relieved sigh.

“i definitely want it to be one. and the answer is yes, it worked.” he muttered, and you looked at him through the screen once more, smiling upon seeing his cheeky smile returned once more. you two simply took in eachother’s appearances for a short while longer, before you chose to break the silence.

“so what now? what does this make us?” you questioned, and sapnap smirked.

“if you got pickup lines like that up your sleeve, i think that makes us the biggest pain-in-the-ass couple that annoys the hell out of our friends by constantly flirting.” you both laughed at that, and you smirked.

“couple huh?” you teased, and he only offered his impish grin, sliding his gaming chair back and dramatically bowing in front of the camera.

“will thou do me the honour of being my partner?” he asked in a british accent (one of the worst you think you’d ever heard, but you ignored that for now)

“it would be my pleasure, good sir.” you fired back cheekily, fake accent and all. he smiled brightly, and you couldn’t help but reciprocate his glowing expression.

it felt good to finally be able to banter with him, no longer having to suppress your cheeky comebacks.

and let’s just say, you simply couldn’t wait to embarrass him further in the future. especially if his chat was on your side.

favorite crime [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them

synopsis: favorite crime by olivia rodrigo

wc: 1.6k

anon asked: pls can you write something w sapnap that follows favorite crime by olivia rodrigo it’s all i can thank about

a/n: you ask, i deliver. i literally speedran this because i loved the idea so much LOL

tw: swearing, mention of police, shoplifting

they say love makes you do crazy things.

they were right.

he was the son of the principal, a star athlete with a full-ride sports scholarship to his dream school. you were the quiet, innocent girl who loved to indulge in her studies, never having willingly missed a single class with straight a’s all around.

one stupid english project later, you were acquainted with the popular jock, and due to the extensive research and time that went into said project, you knew a little bit more about each other than you would’ve liked to admit.

“you’ve never skipped a class before?” he asked, astounded. “not once? in your whole life??” you shrugged, shaking your head sheepishly. he made it sound like it was so normal to break the rules.

“isn’t your dad the principal? i’m sure he’d be so proud to see you encouraging ditching classes.” you defended, and you noted how sapnap’s expression hardened at the mention of his father.

“yeah. like he’s never done any wrong in his life.” he huffed, leaning back in his chair. “he’s always so strict, sap do this. sap do that. sap, don’t be an idiot.” he rambled, annoyance flooding his tone.

“i didn’t realize he was so hard on you.” you mumbled, apologetically. sapnap paused then, looking at you thoughtfully before offering a small smile.

“don’t worry about it. i just wish i could do something without having his eyes on me all the time. he’s the principal, so everyone and their parents know him, and me. i just want to break some rules sometimes, you know? i’m not perfect.” he sighed, and you paused, thinking wistfully.

“there’s no one watching us here.” you smiled sympathetically, and he froze at your words, sending you a questioning look. “well, my parents aren’t home. it’s just us.” you explained, and it was as though a switch had been flipped in his mind, perking up instantly.

“let’s go then!” he jumped up, grabbing your hand and pulling you with him. you squeaked in surprise, too stunned to stop him from pulling you towards the front door.

“where are we going?” you asked, dazed. he smiled mischievously, gesturing for you to put on your shoes.

“to break some rules.” he grinned, and a bad feeling settled in your chest. seeing how excited he was, you couldn’t bring yourself to tell him no. so you went.

oh how you wish you would’ve said no right then. it would’ve fixed everything.

in the beginning, he started with small things. going ten over the speed limit, knocking over a garbage can and leaving it, throwing his chewed gum out of the car window. harmless things, all of which you could handle.

but rebellion is like a drug. once you get a taste of it, you crave more, and more. his petty little crimes weren’t enough for him. he needed something bigger.

“are you insane, sapnap?” you questioned angrily, eyes wide as he finished explaining his next plan. he frowned, deflating at your sudden change in mood.

“what’s your problem?” he asked, defensively. you scoffed, completely taken aback.

“i’m not going to help you steal something, sapnap. that’s crazy! and very, very illegal, might i add!” you explained in a hushed whisper, unsure of when your parents would be home. the last thing they needed to hear was this.

ever since you’d started hanging out with sapnap more, your grades had been slipping. nights you used to spend studying were spent with him. one night, after you’d finished pranking sapnap’s best friend george, he kissed you in the rush of adrenaline. you’d dated ever since, and you had a terrible issue.

you couldn’t tell him no.

“are you too scared to do something a little reckless, y/n?” he challenged, and you stumbled on your words, thrown for a loop with the sudden challenge.

“this is more than a little reckless, sapnap! this could ruin everything for you - your scholarship, and what about your dad? he’s going to be furious.” you tried reasoning, and for a moment, it worked. he hesitated, taking your words into consideration. you almost had him.

but once sapnap committed to something, he was going to do it.

“i’m doing this, y/n. with or without you.” he grumbled, assembling his things and grabbing his keys. he began walking out the door, and you swallowed your nerves, following him and sliding into his passenger seat. he smiled at your compliance, placing a comforting hand on your thigh. “it’ll be fine.” he mumbled, and you nodded stiffly, eyes trained outside your window as he pulled out of your driveway.

head in your hands, you cried silently as the memory played like a never-ending loop, taunting you for your naivety.

“just be cool.” he mumbled, the overly-priced sunglasses he planned to take tucked under his jacket. you forced a smile, nodding along and faking a small giggle. he told you to fake a conversation, so you tried your best. you had a real bag filled with a few random trinkets you grabbed and paid for held tightly in your grip.

clearly something looked suspicious about the two of you, because as the theft alarm by the door sounded, an extremely intimidating security guard headed in your direction, motioning for the two of you to step away from the doors, and you obliged immediately.

“i’m gonna need to search you.” he grumbled, and you nodded politely, ignoring the racing of your heart against your rib cage. sapnap tried to play it cool, but you knew him well enough to see how stressed out he currently was. the man urged sapnap to stand with his arms out, almost as though doing an airport search. your eyes widened, but you waited, and waited. and he found nothing.

you smiled in relief, as the man turned to you. you handed him your shopping bag, along with your receipt. he shuffled through your things, glancing at the receipt before he pulled out the pair of glasses. your mouth fell into an ‘o’ shape, glancing at sapnap in panic.

“did you try to steal these glasses?” the guard asked you, neutrally. you shook your head, stumbling over your words.

“no! i have no idea how those got in there!” you tried, glancing at sapnap for assistance. he avoided your eyes, turning to the burly man in front of you.

“i tried to tell them not to steal, sir. i just wasn’t convincing enough, i’m so sorry.” sapnap said instead, and your jaw dropped to the floor. you stared at sapnap, and watched as his gaze was anywhere except you.

“sapnap, i know your dad, and i know you’re a good kid. i won’t mention you when the police come.” the guard nodded to him, and you watched as sapnap sighed in relief.

“thank you, sir.” he smiled, and you felt tears prick your eyes as the guard turned back to you.

“you, on the other hand, will have to come with me until the police arrive.” you dropped your gaze to the floor, nodding carelessly and following him without question. you felt like your heart was being tugged out of your chest.

he didn’t hesitate to throw you under the bus. not even for a second.

after sitting in what you guessed to be the store’s breakroom, an officer came to collect you. you once again obeyed easily, too distraught by your broken heart to even care about being taken into custody. the officer stopped by the doors, where your boyfriend stood, watching you with guilty eyes.

“young man, this is your partner, correct?” he asked sapnap, and he nodded, shakily. the officer then turned to you, arching a brow. “last chance, kid. did he help you steal these glasses, or was it just you?” at this, you paused. you watched as sapnap’s walls broke, genuine fear crossing his expression.

“just me, sir.” you breathed, tears slipping from your eyes. feelings of shame, heartbreak and resentment slid down your cheeks, and the police nodded, ready to take you away. “oh, and sapnap?” you mumbled, his expression perking up at you talking to him. “we’re done.” you breathed, and his expression fell. he couldn’t even argue, because in the next few seconds you were shoved into the back of a police car and driven off.

now you sat in your holding cell, going over everything that went wrong. you should’ve never let him take you out on that fateful day, never should have let him manipulate you into throwing away your life.

there were just so many signs that you blissfully ignored. being with him was freedom, it was a wild ride you never wanted to get off of. as much as you hated to admit it, you hadn’t ever had as much fun as you did when you were with him. he was your drug as much as rebellion was his.

because of it though, you were in jail. your straight a’s were gone. you had burned so many bridges with your parents, all because of a simple boy.

you were broken, the shell of the person you once were remained while he suffered nothing. he got his adrenaline run without consequence. he still had everything - his parents, his scholarship.

it was then that it occurred to you, that maybe you were just another adrenaline rush for him. slowly breaking off every tie you had that didn’t relate to him, leaving you with nothing. he knew it was wrong, but he lived for it. ruining your life was just another crime to him.

maybe you were just his favorite crime of all.

and you simply let it happen, because you loved him.

but did he ever love you?

favorite virtue [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader

pronouns: they/them

synopsis: this is a part 2 to favorite crime!! but a happy ending bc i said so.

wc: 1.3k

anon asked: "SHAWTY IMMA NEED A PART 2 TO THAT SAPNAP CRIME FIC OR IMMA RIOT"

a/n: i dont do well with part 2s but i tried, this is for u @blanknamed

tw: swearing, mention of arrest, kinda angst to fluff

two hours.

that’s how long you were forced to sit in the holding cell before your parents came to get you. in all your years of living, you’d never seen them so disappointed in you. you couldn’t blame them though. you’d literally gotten yourself temporarily arrested.

and somehow, you still couldn’t bring yourself to tell your parents what really happened.

as much as you spited him for throwing you under the bus, you knew why he did what he did. it was the very reason you told him not to risk it in the first place.

sapnap wasn't stupid, but his grades didn’t excel either. he relied fully on his sports scholarship to get him out of high school and into college, and he had his father’s reputation to uphold. you had spent countless nights comforting him from the wrath of his father and his ridiculous expectations.

he could play the nonchalant, perfect son all he wanted. just not in front of you. you knew him like the back of your hand, and could tell how he felt with a simple glance. you were the only person allowed to see the vulnerable side of him.

at least, that’s what you used to believe.

you wondered if he truly manipulated you the entire long months you spent together. if every ‘i love you’ was really just ‘i love being free’. if every kiss was simply to push you further down the hole he had trapped you.

a part of you refused to believe he could do something so cruel. then again, that part would’ve believed he wouldn’t let you take the fall for his actions.

you laid on your bed, eyes gazing at the ceiling. naturally, you’d lost all electronic privileges, and your parents refused to speak a word to you. you were practically locked in your room. not that you wanted to leave - you were devastated. only one person could make you feel better, but you weren’t sure you wanted to hear his excuses.

it had been maybe an hour, you’d fallen asleep with tear-stained cheeks when a subtle banging woke you from your slumber. you squinted, eyes drifting towards the window, watching as another rock bounced off the clear surface. you shuffled over, glancing out on the lawn to see none other than sapnap stood with a sad smile. you shook your head, turning away.

another rock hit the window, and you sighed, exasperated. you looked at him once more, watching him mouth a small ‘please’ with pleading eyes. damn you for never being able to say no. you bit your lip, giving him a small nod and pushing open your window, and he was quick to rush to climb the nearby tree up to you.

you sat on your bed, waiting for him to climb up and situate himself next to you. subconsciously, you moved yourself away from him. if he noticed, he didn’t mention it. an awkward silence filled the room, and you fidgeted with your fingers as a subtle distraction.

you didn’t even notice he reached his hand over until he was gently pulling your fingers away from each other, halting your motions. he looked at you with an unreadable expression, but you could see the emotion swirling behind his irises. you breathed shakily, unable to pull your gaze away from his own. instead, you mumbled a single word. “why?”

sapnap swallowed, sitting back and looking out the window. “i panicked. it’s not an excuse, i know. but i was only thinking about myself in that moment. i regretted it instantly.” he faltered, and you gave him a knowing look; there was something he was itching to ask you.

“you can ask, whatever it is. we’re already talking, might as well.” you shrugged, dejected. he nodded, his gaze distant.

“why didn’t you rat me out?” he whispered, and you finally allowed yourself to turn to him fully, offering a sad smile.

“honestly, i wanted to.. but with your scholarship, and your dad.. i couldn’t do that to you. i couldn’t ruin your life like..” you drifted off, and sapnap frowned.

“like i ruined yours.” he finished, and you fell silent. “i really never deserved you, you know.” he added, and you frowned.

“what’s that supposed to mean?” you asked. your tone wasn’t hostile, and it wasn’t agreeing. it was simply curious.

“you brought out the best in me, y/n, whether you knew it or not. all those nights you comforted me, you distracted me, you helped me study.. you’re the reason i passed chemistry, by the way..” at that, you let out a small chuckle, “before i met you i didn’t care about anything but sports and trying to please my dad. you showed me i didn’t need to keep him happy, i needed to keep myself happy.”

at this point, you had tears running down your cheeks at his words. he reached over, gently swiping the pad of his thumb across your cheek and brushing away your falling tears. “what makes you think you didn’t deserve that?” you whispered, and he smiled sadly.

“look what i did to you, y/n.” he mumbled, eyes dancing across your tear-stained face. “your parents are always mad at you, i tanked your grades, i got you arrested for crying out loud. i never listened to you and you paid the price for my dumb ass.” his lip quivered, and you launched forward, throwing your arms around him. he instantly reacted, placing him around your own and burying his face into your shoulder.

you situated yourself in his lip, gently placing your lips on his forehead and whispering reassuring words in his ear. he cried into your shirt, soaking the fabric and you simply sat there and let him let loose his emotions. once he calmed, you pulled away and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

“sap, i may not have the grades, or the same relationship with my parents, but just like i showed you kindness, you showed me fun! never in my life have i felt the rush i feel when i’m with you. and yeah, maybe i’ll have to suffer for awhile but who cares. if i could do it over, i’d take the fall for you over and over again, because i love you.”

sapnap smiled the brightest you’d ever seen and surged forward, kissing you passionately. you squeaked in surprise, and the two of you pulled away laughing carelessly. he placed one more quick peck on your lips, before a determined expression replaced his lovestruck one. “i’m going to come clean to my dad, tell him it was my idea. i’ll tell you parents, too - hell, i’ll even tell the police.”

you blinked in surprise, shaking your head. “you don’t have to do that, sap!” you tried, but above all things, he was stubborn, and his mind was set.

“no. tomorrow, i’ll come back and tell your parents everything. maybe they’ll loosen up on your punishment. and i’ll drop by the station on the way. i’m going to make this right.” he stated, and you couldn’t help but wrap your arms around him in a warm embrace.

“i love you.” you whispered, and you felt him place a small kiss on your cheek, whispering back a small “i love you too.”

maybe he was bad for you. maybe he’d gotten you arrested, and maybe you would have to make new arrangements for college because of it. but deep down, you couldn’t find it in yourself to care. you’d always be there to balance him out.

because maybe you had it all wrong before. you weren’t his favorite crime, he was yours.

and if he was your favorite crime, you vowed to be his favorite virtue.

there for you [sapnap]

pairing: sapnap x gn!reader (platonic)

pronouns: they/them

synopsis: school is a lot, but luckily a best friend knows just how to help.

wc: 1.3k

anon asked: “heyo may i pls request a writing with sapnap where the reader is his bff (like strictly platonic) and they just are like insanely overwhelmed and their parents keep putting pressure on them and he comforts them?"

a/n: here's something since i haven't been posting at all in the last week lmao

tw: overworking yourself, parental pressure, a bit of self-loathing

adults always say high school will be the best and worst years of your life. you weren’t sure about the best, but as you were living them, you agreed that they were by far the worst years you’d ever live.

the pressure of applying and committing to colleges, maintaining your grades and pleasing your parents was suffocating.

countless unfinished essays, upcoming tests and late assignments weighed heavy on your shoulders, on top of the already dreadful feeling of the exams that were creeping up on you by the day.

every day you found yourself falling deeper and deeper into the stress, losing all sense of anything else. you would study or work on assignments until your eyes physically couldn’t focus on the screen or page in front of you any longer, or until your hand cramped so bad you were forced to stop.

it was unhealthy, you knew, but with college upcoming and your parents breathing down your back, you couldn’t bring yourself to do anything besides work without a large amount of guilt.

whatever you were doing still wasn’t enough.

you had to keep pushing, though. you were almost done. just a few more weeks of overworking yourself, and you'd be out for the summer. two full months of freedom. no classes, no assignments, no stress. no overbearing pressure from your parents. just the warmth of the sun and an endless list of possible adventures awaiting you.

however, the closer to exams you got, the more they pressed you. an endless string of questions about your grades, past assignments and how you should be doing better.

“y/n, i just got an email from your ap bio teacher. you should’ve aced that test, what, did you not bother to study for it?” your mother asked, critically. you frowned, swallowing the lump in your throat and facing your gaze to the floor.

“i studied! i just had that huge essay for english, and that geometry assignment.. i just didn’t have as much time as i thought i would.” you explained, sheepishly. you heard her scoff, and shake her head in disappointment as she left the room without another word.

tears pooled in your eyes, walking ashamedly to your room and shutting the door. you slid down, situating yourself on the floor with your back to the door, allowing the tears you’ve held back for the past month flow freely. it was all too much, and it was crashing down on you all at once at this moment.

through blurry eyes you pulled out your phone, clicking on your recent text and typing out a small message.

‘you free? i need you.’

you set down your phone for mere seconds before it dinged, and you pulled it back up, smiling slightly at the notification illuminating your phone.

‘i’ll be there in 5.’

you allowed yourself to calm down enough to cease your tears, taking deep breaths. finally you heard the familiar knocking of the front door, faintly hearing sapnap greeting your parents. you could hear the genuine happiness in their tones.

sometimes you wondered if they wished sapnap was their child instead of you. deep down, you knew it wasn’t true but it was hard to convince yourself otherwise. he was athletic, crazy smart with nearly perfect grades, and was pursuing computer science in college. not to mention how caring and supportive he was. how were you meant to compete with that?

he knocked gently on your door, and you sighed as you heaved yourself off the floor, wiping your tear-stained cheeks once more with your sleeve before opening the door and looking up at sapnap with an all too familiar look: pure exhaustion.

he instantly smiled softly at you, opening his arms in invitation and you gladly stepped forward, soaking in his embrace. he held you so comfortably, it coaxed more tears and you deflated, all the exhaustion kicking in and you found yourself barely able to stand. he noticed, of course, and gently released you, guiding you to sit on your bed.

he situated himself next to you, allowing you to lean your head on his shoulder. “you wanna talk about it?” he whispered, and you sighed, nodding against his jacket.

“school sucks.” you mumbled, and he chuckled, taken slightly by surprise by the answer.

“school’s got you this upset?” he teased, but there was genuine concern underlying his tone that you didn’t miss.

“yeah. everythings so much, with all the outstanding assignments i have, i have no time or mental capacity left to study for tests or exams and my grades are suffering. my parents are really on top of me about it, too. it’s like i can’t go two seconds without being reminded of the pile of work on my desk.” you admitted, hiccuping slightly. your crying ceased, but silent tears remained cascading down your cheeks on their own free will.

sapnap fell silent, sighing at your words. he shuffled under you, pulling his arm out from between you and wrapping it around your shoulders. finally, after a few moments of thought, he replied simply, “i get that.”

you lifted your head and peered up at him curiously, tilting your head in confusion. “what do you mean?” you sniffled, wiping your sleeve across your cheeks once more.

“my parents are always on me about my grades. they won’t accept anything less than perfection. sometimes i just wanna play minecraft, you know? but they won’t let me until everything is done to their standards. it sucks.” he spoke sadly, his eyes directed at the wall but his mind was clearly somewhere far away.

“how do you deal with the pressure?” you mumbled, and he snapped out of his stupor, offering you a small impish grin.

“well, i’m awesome, so.” he shrugged, and you shoved his arm playfully, eliciting a laugh from the two of you. “seriously though, i don’t know. i just pace myself, decide what’s more important in terms of grades and prioritize that. you can’t prioritize every little assignment, it’s not worth your time.”

your gaze fell upon the stack of papers on your desk, swallowing heavily at the idea of just how much you had to do. you flicked your gaze back to him, and you saw the concern on his face as he stared at the pile of unfinished assignments. “isn’t everything important? every grade counts for college, that’s what everyone keeps saying-” you started, and he flicked his concerned gaze back to your figure.

“y/n, you can’t possibly tell me you’ve been putting all your effort into every assignment?” he asked, ludicrously. you shrugged, suddenly embarrassed. he took notice, softening his expression. “hey, it’s okay. i’m not making fun of you, i promise, it’s just.. holy shit, y/n. no wonder you’re burning yourself out.”

you stayed silent, gaze dropping to the floor as you considered his words. it made sense, to be fair. you were so caught up in pleasing your parents that you hadn’t even thought about sitting back to make a plan, you just were constantly working and hoping that you would be able to get things done. “sapnap, how do you know what’s important and what’s not?” you asked, quietly.

finally, he smiled, standing and offering you a hand. “here, how about this. i’ll help you go through those assignments and figure out what should be done when, if you come with me for a drive. you need a break, i’m worried about you. we can even go to my house to study after, if you want some company while you work.” he offered, and you sighed, nodding.

as much as there was a nagging feeling in your chest about taking a break and losing precious work time, deep down you knew he was right. your current work ethic was slowly taking its toll on you, and if you kept it up you wouldn’t be able to get anything done anymore.

at the end of the day, he was your best friend, all he wanted was what's best for you and you’d be forever grateful to have someone like him looking out for you.

❤ Happily Ever After

Request by @zerocanonlywriteshit on Tumblr: "This is sooooo good well there possibly be a part 3?" Part 1, Part 2

[2500+ words]

[he/him pronouns]

Description: You, George, and Wilbur visit the US. Unsurprisingly, it's hard to keep your feelings for Wilbur and Sapnap lowkey. (Sapnap x M!Reader x Wilbur)

[Read the rest under the cut]

{《☆》}

The sun was warm against your skin, the soft pink shades of the sky melting into purple and orange and the prettiest shade of yellow you've ever seen. George is tucked into your shoulder, tired from the long flight, sitting with his legs tucked by his side on the bench. Your luggage is pulled in close, close enough for you to keep it all safe.

Wilbur is leaning back against the wall, one of his legs splayed over your lap. He doesn't look too sleepy but he still rests his eyes for a few seconds. His pretty lips puff up at the cold, blowing hot air out before they decide to tug themselves closer to you. As both of their personal heaters, you're also now responsible for their luggage.

The taxi should be getting there soon but you can't find it within yourself to wake up either of your boys, George leaning against your collar bone like he was 7 again and Wilbur slumped into your shoulder, head pressed to yours. His cold arms, bare without the sweater he had given to you, are wrapped loosely around your waist. Even in his sleep, he desires to be closer to you.

You press your cheek closer to him, breathing in the feeling of packed air, warmed by the sun and cooled by the wind. It's nice, you think. Wilbur's sweater pools around your hips and you smile. You weren't able to wear your binder on the plane, as it was longer than 8 hours, so Wilbur offered his sweater to make you more comfortable.

You pick off a piece of lint and another car rolls up to the curb, one of many. This one though has your taxi number on it. You nudge Wilbur up and he blinks away the sleep easily enough. George groans when you try the same thing with him, his bottom lip jutting out into a pout instantly. Wordlessly, you cave and pull him up yourself.

He stumbles into your arms and with practised ease, you pull him towards the taxi. Wilbur's already shoved your luggage in the trunk with the help of the driver, instantly settling into your side as you sit in the middle of both of them again. If you weren't playing the role of responsible adult right now, you'd fall asleep with them.

The ride is a bit bumpy but you manage to avoid potholes and surprisingly quicker than you expected, you appeared at the hotel you'd all be staying at. George had tried getting you to agree to stay with him at Dream's house but although you had a close connection to Sapnap, liking someone and living with them were two different things. Wilbur had agreed to share a room with you, with two beds, while George stayed with Dream and Sapnap. Today though, with the early morning sun leaving you all drowsy, you and George piled into the same bed while Wilbur collapsed on the other fully dressed. Shoes and all.

Pulling your brother's shoes off, tucking them by the door, you also took Wilbur's off. He grumbled something thankful but was still face down in the bed, too muffled for you to fully hear. You took off your shoes and switched to more comfortable pants. After throwing a blanket over Wilbur and tucking your brother under the covers, you wiggled next to him.

George latched onto you, ever a clingy sleeper. He babbled something incoherent in his sleep before twisting to eat a mouthful of pillow. You gave up stopping him, relaxing back. You could still see a bit of sun peeking through the window, now higher and stronger. Not as pretty but still just as warm and cosy.  You closed your eyes with the last image in your head the thought that orange and yellow mixed well together.

{《☆》}

George ends up pushing you off of the bed just a few minutes before it turns 9 am. You take a deep inhale and exhale, contemplating the consequences of sleeping on the floor. Your back aches just at the thought and you sit up when you realized it'd make it another day without a binder if you fell back asleep.

The bathroom in the hotel is big, with clean marble counters and a porcelain bathtub. You take your time brushing your teeth and using the bathroom. You quickly pull a binder out of your suitcase and it takes you barely any time to put it one, relaxing back into the tightness of it. It doesn't hurt, George would kill you if you ever purposefully sized down, but it hides your chest well and honestly, you're convinced whoever made them was a god.

Flicking the lights off, you pull the curtains apart. The sun, shifting higher in the sky with every minute that passes, shines down on Wilbur's face from where he hangs slightly off the bed. You reach over to pull his head on the bed, smiling down at how he melts into the contact, leaning into your hand with a simple shift of his neck. You can't help yourself from brushing your finger over his cheek, thumbing the blemishes that make him so perfect to you. He looks so pretty, you realize for not the first time. It's a shame that Sapnap's heart also weighs you down.

You like both of them, that much you've managed to realize before you left. it's an odd thing to think about, knowing that both of them hold something delicate to your heart. You know there are solutions, communication would be the best option, but even the thought of talking about your feelings have your brain-twisting.

You shake Wilbur's shoulder to avoid thinking about it more. He grumbles with some curse word or another hissed with it. You shake his shoulder again, "Wil, wake up."

He flips to his side, hand reaching up to grab your own. He tugs your arms closer until you stumble onto the bed too. Wilbur flips the blanket to wrap cover you and wraps his arm over your shoulder, an ineffective way of trapping you if you were fully awake but one that manages to keep you there anyway. "No."

"Wilbur, we should go eat the free breakfast before it's over." You try, still trying to unwrap the blanket. "Otherwise you're going to have to pay for Walmart food."

Wilbur grumbles, digging his nose into the pillow. You smile softly, reaching up to the arm around your shoulder. Gently, your pull away and trace his knuckles. "C'mon, you'll get to see what George looks like half-asleep."

"Fine," Wilbur grumbles, pulling himself up with you. You brush the hair from his face, unable to control the urge, staring into his beautiful brown eyes. He smiles dopily at you, pressing a gentle kiss to your fingertip when your hand drops. "Good morning,"

"Goodmorning, Wil," You stand up, pulling him by his wrists until he stands, using you as his crutch for a second. The floor is cold and you suddenly realize you don't have socks on. It makes sense, who sleeps with socks on, but it's still a jarring sudden realization. "Now, go brush your teeth so that I can start waking him up. Go."

Wilbur walks off and you push yourself forward to get over the way his hips move. George is clutching a pillow close to his chest, blankets kicked off of him in his sleep to lay fitfully on the floor. You, unceremoniously, plop on top of him.

"Oof!" George whines, falling back into a routine you knew so well. "Get off you big oaf!"

"No, I don't think I will," You wiggle more, pushing back as George desperately tries to push you off. "Now get up."

"No," George kicks at you, rolling over and pushing his face into the pillow. He cries out as you scoot over him again, going weightless. "Fine, fine get off!"

You roll off of him, grinning at his unimpressed glare.  Reaching over, you squeeze his nose between your fingers and he swats it away quickly. "Goodmorning, ratface,"

"I'm literally going to kill you," George sways for a second standing, making you lean over to check on him, but then he rights himself in a second and leaps at you. Quickly, you both are tumbling on the bed, George's elbow bitting into your side before you roll him over and kick him softly to the other side of the bed. Your giggle is cut short by George throwing a pillow at your face.

"Really?" Wilbur asks when he walks out of the bathroom, eyebrows raised, ruffling his wet hair that is frizzy and stuck up. He shakes his head with a smile, "C'mon, I thought we were going to go get breakfast."

George frowns up at Wilbur, pouting. "Fine, I'll go get washed up."

"Are we meeting up with Sapnap and Dream today?" Wilbur asks as he sits, throwing a leg over your lap. You shrug, glancing over at your phone that sits on the night table innocently. It doesn't seem to buzz at all but then again, Sapnap usually texts you a late good morning to match with your time.

(The thought that now he doesn't need to buzzes in your brain.)

"I can text and ask if he's open to meeting up for lunch later." Glancing over at the bathroom your brother is washing up in, you frown slightly. "Maybe, George would like to meet up earlier though. We can always have breakfast together, I suppose."

"Well, what about you," Wilbur asks, making you turn back to him. "What do you want to do?"

"I dunno, I guess I'd like to stay and have breakfast with my brother before he leaves."

"So we'll stay and have breakfast here," Wilbur smiles at you, lips smoothed into the prettiest smile you've ever seen. "Glad that's settled now."

You laugh, pushing his leg off your lap gently. George comes out of the bathroom, flopping down forward into your lap, throwing his arms over Wilburs. It's nice to laugh with people you hold so dear, even if something was missing.

{《☆》}

A few hours later you're dressed up in a casual, but nice, outfit as you all prepare to meet up with Sapnap and Dream (though the man argued that he could just order food in so that you could all eat at his house) they both agreed to a small restaurant that sold private rooms so that they could all keep their appearance lowkey.

"(Y/N)!" Sapnap cries out, face split into the widest grin. He is too close to need to run but he still jogs towards you, arms outstretched wide and inviting.

"Sapnap!" You yell back, leaping forward into your online-- now IRL--- friend. His arms are warm, enveloping you tightly as he pulls you so much more closer. Tears are wetting your eyes and threatening to spill but Sapnap blubbers out odd words as he jumps with you, spinning and almost knocking both of you to the ground.

"(Y/N)!" Sapnap cries, sniffling himself. It makes your eyes water and then a few tears spill. "You're here!"

"So are you!" You pull away, wiping at your eyes with a grin. "Oh my god! Sapnap!"

"(Y/N)!" He chirps again, smiling even wider.

"All right everyone, calm down," Wilbur chuckles as he gives a small clap of his hands, watching you and Sapnap with a curious look in his eyes. (Above/Below) your head, their eyes meet and something sparks. It's only when Wilbur says this do you realize that someone came in behind Sapnap, Dream, and is still holding your brother in his arms. It's not inherently romantic but it makes you smile at how happy your brother is to finally be with his best friends.

"Let's sit," Dream says with a smile, pulled away from your brother but still at his side. You take the seat in the middle, Sapnap and Wilbur on both of your sides. "It's nice to meet you, (Y/N). I kinda can't believe you guys are in America now."

"I know, it's oddly weird to be back," You rest your hand on your palm momentarily before your mother's chiding voice bites back in your head telling you to keep your elbow off the table.

"Oh yeah! You went to school here, didn't you," Wilbur smiles at you when you turn to him, remembering a fact you had forgotten you told him. "I don't remember the name, sorry."

"That's fine, I stayed in Cali studying (major) but I was around another month or two before I came back to bother George." You poked George over the table, laughing when he swatted your hand away. "I haven't gone to see much of Florida."

"Most regular people don't," Sapnap nods, nudging shoulders with you. "Dream's holding me captive though,"

"Oh shut up, Sapnap," Dream scoffed, narrowly missing you as he kicks Sapnap under the table. He rolls his eyes, still smiling fondly at him.

The dinner passes quickly, something warm and gooey bubbled up inside of you with every joke that made you laugh until your insides hurt. This was nice, it was more than nice, it was all of your favourite people in one room. It felt like home.

{《☆》}

Sapnap decided to stay with you and Wilbur and wander the streets, Dream and George going to pick up his bags and take them to the shared house.  You balanced on a car bump in a parking lot of a 7-11. Wilbur was poking around in the store for something to chew on, assuring you he would get something good enough for all of you.

Sapnap stood in front of you, smiling all amused at you as you teetered. "Having fun?"

"Yes, I--" You shrieked as you fell forward, taking Sapnap down with you. You tumbled into the gravel, giggling like children.

Wilbur stepped out of the store, leaning over the two of you. "Should I ask?"

You giggle again, reaching up to pull Wilbur down with you. He stumbles and is slightly over you, an arm keeping him up on the side of your head.  "Hi!"

"Hi," Wilbur smiles, moving to get off of you. Still though, in the spirit of all of you on the gravel, he lies down next to you.  Sapnap reaches over you for a handful of whatever Wilbur had gotten.

It comes up suddenly, a burst of affection for both of them. You can't stop yourself from muttering it softly to yourself, not as quiet as you had thought, however. "I love you guys."

"Love you too," Sapnap says, as light as wind. The words freeze you but Wilbur doesn't skip a beat.

He shifts to his side, facing both of you. Quick and easy, he leans forward to kiss your nose. "Love you."

You fluster horribly, hands reaching up to cover the horrible grin you have now. "I didn't mean to say that."

"We still meant it," Wilbur says, eyes so soft and sweet as they look at you.

"Yeah," Sapnap nods along, staring up at the darkening sky above you all. "You're like, amazing."

You laugh because you don't know what else to do. "I didn't expect today to be like this."

Sapnap shakes his head with a smile, "I wouldn't change a thing."

"Neither would I," You mutter as Wilbur leans back over to give you a real kiss.

❤ Travel Pack

Request by @blynxism: “woaaohhh :O wtf bad is so cute 😭 literally everything you do is awesome. wouldnt mind if i had to wait for a part 2” Part 1

[3300+ words]

[He/him pronouns]

Description: You and Cairo decide to continue traveling with the muffinteers. But you never expected to be so soft for them. (Romantic Muffinteers x M!Reader)

[Read more under the cut]

You had woken up bright and early, still hovering around until Cairo had woken up, stretching xyr arms and hitting the tents walls. She started crawling to leave the tent, hair still fluffed up, messy with the signs of xyrs long rest.

You followed after her, doing a small stretch of your own. Tents like those were nice enough but they still left such a crick in the neck. Patting down some of xyrs hair for xyr, she batted your hand away before you both started walking towards Bad and George, who were poking at a fire.

"Good morning," She said mid-way through a yawn.

"Good morning!" Bad smiles widely, straightening his back and tilting his head up to smile at you too.

"Morning," You say back, taking a seat next to George who offers you a small smile but seems too tired to do anything more. Cairo takes the seat next to you, bodily leaning against you with xyr feet propped up on the trunk across from you.

"What's for breakfast," She asks.

Bad shrugs, looking at the food tucked neatly into one bag. "Probably eggs and some berries from the forest. Dream and Sap went foraging maybe 20 minutes ago? They should be back soon."

You gave him a nod as your sister combed down xyr hair with xyrs hand. Cairo blinked over at George, who blinked back. "You're pretty."

George shrugs, "I know."

Cairo nods, turning to talk to Bad. You look over at George, brow raised. The brunet smirks at you, rolling his eyes softly. "I get a lot of compliments. Although I haven't gotten one from you yet."

"Do you want me to tell you something you already know?" You lean closer, until your lips brush past his cheek and your breath heats up his ear. "Sounds likes someone's a little cocky."

When you pulled back, George's cheeks were tinged pink with a deep flush that spread all the way to his ears. You smiled and turned back towards Cairo, who was at Bad's side, poking at the eggs.

"Get away from those before you burn them," You say, nudging her with your foot, even if it was a bit of a stretch. Cairo scoffs, kicking you right back.

"I try doing something nice for you once," She pouts, turning to Bad to get him on xyr side. "I might've burned his tent down but I was trying to be nice for his birthday! It cancels out! Right?"

"Uhm," He looks between the two of you, obviously torn. Slowly, he looks over at George, who offers absoloutely no help, and back at you. Finally, relief bursts over his face. "Dream! Sapnap! You're back!"

"Yeah?" Dream stretched out, eyeing the demon curiously. He turned to George as he got closer, handing off a bag half-full of sweet berries. "Why do you sound so happy?"

"No reason, none at all!" Bad says with a rapid nod of his head. You snicker a bit, trying to hide a grin behind your hand. Cairo turns to you with the same grin, one that catches George's attention, who rolls his eyes with a smile. He turns back around, cheeks flushed. "I can hear you two."

"Whoops," You shrug, moving to make space for Cairo to sit. She takes the seat happily, a plate of eggs that she had definitely stolen from Bad's pan.

"Wha-!" Bad drops down into his seat by the campfire, pouting. "You're all a bunch of muffinheads."

"Muffinfucks," Sapnap mocks in a high-pitched voice.

"Language!" Bad gasps, snatching the bag of apples out of Sapnap's hand, swatting at his arm. Sapnap takes the seat across from you with a sweet smile, waving quickly before Dream sits down.

The voices are oddly quiet today, even as Dream offers you a polite good morning and his face lights up when Sapnap ropes him into talking over sword strategies. It's weird but you won't look a gift horse in the mouth, wrapping an arm around Cairo's shoulders as xyr takes the opportunity to make fun of George.

You pop a few sweet berries in your mouth and relax. You still have to ask Cairo about traveling with the group but something tells you xyr is going to agree.

{《☆》}

After you talked with Cairo and she gladly agreed to travel with the group, it's been interesting to say the least.

Traveling with the "Muffinteers" (their self appointed and very odd name) was nice. Not overly amazing. They managed to rope you into arguments every 5 minutes and Dream still got inbetween you and Sapnap whenever you talked. But it was definitely not your worse experience. It couldn't be that bad with Bad and you bonding over limited medical knowledge and when you teased the group with Cairo's help.

Your voices were a lot quieter around them, which you have yet to decide was good or bad, but they always did agree that the group was good for you. (Also that they were unfairly good looking, which you decidedly agreed with.)

It was almost depressing when you finally arrived at the Antartic Empire, Cairo on Bad's back and George at your side. Sapnap and Dream followed behind you both, carrying most of the luggage after you and George managed to sweet talk them enough. The look on Bad's face when you made a few shameless remarks to Sapnap was enough to make a god laugh.

You set up in a motel for one final night, fixing up the room you had gotten. There was a door connecting you to the Muffinteers room, one that was lockable from both sides (though you were close enough now that it didn't really matter to lock it). Cairo had knocked out on one bed instantly, leaving you on the other, staring at the ceiling in restless focus.

You got up, cringing at how cold the floor was but slowly starting toward the shared door anyway.

When you opened it you came face to face with Bad, who was seemingly just stood in front of the door, contemplating. "Bad?"

He jumped, barely registering that you had opened it. Too lost in thought, apparently. He cleared his throat softly, cheeks flushed an adorable pale white. "Y/N, I didn't know you were awake."

"Couldn't sleep. And you...?"

He clasped his hands together in front of him, hesitating. "I couldn't sleep either. I kinda got used to sleeping near you muffinheads."

Now that he brings it up, you had gotten used to it too. After traveling for weeks together it felt odd not sleeping near at least two other people. Or hearing Sapnap's obnoxious snoring even through the tents. You kept the door propped open, leaning to make room for Bad to walk in. "The bed in my room's pretty big, we could share. Wouldn't do us any good to lose a night's rest, would it."

"True," Bad muttered, face still flushed. Softly you both walked back to your bed, peeling back the blankets. Bad hesitated before lying down, not looking anywhere near your face. "Goodnight."

Shifting your shoulders slightly you melted into the bed. Softly you mutter back, "Goodnight."

{《☆》}

"Whose going to wake them?" Someone whispered.

"I'm not doing it!" Another voice harshly chimed in, quietly yelling.

"Geez you guys are cowards," A third voice said. So many voices talked back and forth around you. You groan, pressing your face into your pillow. It's very warm but not super comfortable, you can't find it in you to care, pressing your cheek into the rising surface.

"Move out of the way," The third voice says and finally they fall quiet. With some shuffling, you can rest without the background noise bugging you.

"WAKE UP!"

You jerk upwards, pushing off your pillow with no resistance. It feels like whiplash how quickly you turn to face your michevous friends with an ever present scowl. "Wha–!"

"What were you muffinheads thinking!" Bad yells next to you. You cringe away, shock flooding your veins before you reel yourself back to the present. Bad looks similarly put off, though he's more focused on scolding the idiotic boys.

Ha the dream team look like pissbabies

Bad's kinda... ya know?

all of us are going to hell

we're already dead dumbass

poor bby sapnap looks like a kicked puppy ;-;

KekW

You look over and Cairo is still dead asleep, not rustled one bit. Turning back, George gives you a wicked grin, ignoring Bad. "Welcome back to the land of the living, sleeping beauty."

"Aw you think I'm pretty," You stretch your arms up, mid-yawn. The group is politely looking away from you, faces pink (or in Bad's case, pale). You try to pretend that it's easy pulling away from Bad's oddly magnetic warmth and smile at Sapnap and Dream. "Morning, did you need something?"

"Not really just... wanted to know if you were coming down for hotel breakfast?" Sapnap says, glancing over at the other two for help. When they offered none he just smiled wider at you to cover his nerves. "I mean,, you're a snack but breakfast is the most important meal of the day."

You roll your eyes with a laugh, the dream team shuffling back as you stand. "Yeah yeah, sure. Lemme just wake Cairo."

{《☆》}

There is a moment when you're standing at the top of the world, flying through the clouds. it usually comes right before the world remembers you need to follow the laws of gravity, a brief second of flightlessness before you're dragged down.

You've been on top of the world since the voices started quieting down. Cairo's been looking happier in the last few weeks than she had been in months. Everything was good. So good in fact, you forgot there'd have to be a fall.

It started after breakfast, you were being dragged by Cairo to a market stand because they were selling socks and she was insistent on having new ones. If you weren't sure that your family in the city would have a room for you, you would've saved it for restocking food.

While you were haggling for a lower price someone bumped into your back. The crowd is full of people and bumping into people while walking isn't uncommon but it's something about this time that made your skin crawl. Voices pounded your head, overlapping with hundreds of different thoughts until one struck gold.

LOOK BACK

You whirled around, foot skidding a bit before you catch yourself. The thief pretends not to notice, they must've thought they got away with it.

RED WOLF

You take a step forward, hands wrapping around a thin pale wrist. You hold even as they twist, realizing you knew. The voices won't let you let go. They look scared out of their wits for a second, pale blue eyes glimmering with tears.

HE IS NEAR

"Y/N?" The thief says hesitantly. "I didn't..."

They don't look familiar to you but your name from their lips, voice smooth and knowable, knocks sense back into your brain and you let go. They reach up to rub at their wrist, Cairo's pink pouch dangling in his fingers.

You reach out to grab it, fingers skimming the fabric before you're thrown to the ground.

ATTACK.

RETREAT.

ATTACK.

RETREAT.

The voices fight in your head, only disorienting you further. Two voices call your name, too muddled in the cacophony that's pounding your ears.

GET UP

The world is blurry, black dots staining your vision. Your fingers dig into dirt as you get yourself on your hands and knees, heaving.

DODGE

You drop your arm and roll to the side, narrowly missing a thin silver blade that cracks the ground where your chest once was. The world shifts again and you're a lot less balanced against the ground than you should be.

RED WOLF. RED. BLOOD. CLAWS. MOVE. BLOOD. RED WOLF. MOVE. TEETH. BITE. RED. SHARP.

MOVE!

You lose feeling in your fingers and kick up your feet, you push off against someone's chest and roll to a kneel. People are talking, screaming maybe, you can't tell when the voices in your head scream louder.

There is a stand next to you selling decorative weapons and you pick up a gold sword. It's pretty shabby, wouldn't last long with actual use, but it's enchanted with sharpness 2. You palm the handle a bit, hands sweatier than they've ever been before.

They're a blur of motion and you raise your sword and blunt their attack with a strangled cry. You can hear Cairo and Sapnap yelling for you. They must have lost you in the commotion. The brief distraction let's your attacker slice a thin line into your shoulder and you kick their leg out, stumbling to get back to Cairo.

When the person who attacks you gets to their feet they follow in second. They manage to whirl you around. Your heart stops for a second, stinging with phantom pains. They huff in place, face stony as it looks over yours. Red eyes meet yours with a knee-buckling lack of recognition.

"Technoblade," You mutter to yourself as a last observation before the world tilts to the side and you crash into the weapon stand.

{《☆》}

"Who the fuck do you think you are you," A voice, familiar British tilt bristling with venom. They're oddly close, smoothly pressing into raw ears. "You were the one that attacked him in the first place. You think you have the right-!"

"George," Bad cuts in, voice just as stone-cold but softer still. He's so close that the water that's been clogging your ears clear just to listen. "Don't be too loud, you'll wake him."

"He's got a point," Dream pipes in, farther away. It makes something in you croon sadly. Soft steps get further away from you before stopping suddenly. "You hurt Y/N. Why would we trust you're being truthful. I mean, cousins? Don't make me laugh."

"I didn't know it was Y/N, I just saw him hurting Tommy and I-"

"Tommy stole from him!" Dream scoffs, voice heavy and loud. It drops suddenly and there are footsteps coming closer until a hand is hovering over yours, hesitating. "You caused this, Blood God."

Things start going fuzzy again and you don't like it. You reach up to Dream's hand and tighten your grip. It's nice, it feels like a tether. Still, you're cold though so you whine. Something to be embarrassed about when you're fully awake, of course. "Co—ld..."

"Aww isn't that adorable," George coos mockingly. His voice gets further away as he walks away, another pair of heavier footsteps seemingly dragged behind him. "Let's go Blood God."

"I'll go get another blanket," Bad says, fixing your two blankets to be tucked around you. You still haven't opened your eyes but you can imagine the look he shoots Dream. "Have fun cuddling."

You can also imagine Dream's response vividly, a roll of those pretty green eyes while his lips tug into a small smile anyway. He doesn't say anything, simply settling in a chair beside you, hand still tight around yours.

"I thought we were gonna cuddle," Your words are a bit loopy as you turn on your side to face him, eyes barely peeking open. The world is a lump of colours and yet you could not see him more clearly.

"Oh come on," Dream scoffs and this time you can see the way he rolls his eyes, freckled cheeks puffing out in embarrassment and exasperation, lips tilted into a thin little smile. You pull your blankets up and gesture to the empty space. He shakes his head but you know he's already broken. With a bit of struggle, he clambers into your bed and retucks the blankets around the both of you.

As he settles into the cozy space, you're both facing each other. Maybe it's the loopiness still messing with your brain but he looks adorable with his hair tousled like this. You can't help yourself from reaching up to touch the fluffy blond strands but Dreams hand reaches for your wrist, holding it gently inches away with flushed cheeks. "What are you doing?"

"You look soft," You mumble and without more preamble reach for his hair again. Miraculously he doesn't stop you this time, a large bridge of blush spread over his nose all the way to his ears. Dream closes his eyes, holding his breathe as you slowly card through his soft hair.

You drag your nails across his scalp lightly and he physically melts, face unfurling with a soft trust like a flower in bloom. You smile, closing your eyes and continuing to run your hand through his hair. You don't remember how, everything feels just a bit disconjointed, but your legs are tangled up with Dream's, one hand resting gently on the back of his neck and the other on his chest. You can feel nothing but warm when he wraps his arms around you, holding you for no reason but he can.

You're still soaking up the touch, lounging across him with a languid body when Sapnap, and Cairo walk in. You peaked your eyes open to see who it was and then went back to resting next to Dream.

"Alright Y/N, we've got you a..." Sapnap's jaw was on the ground, his brain fumbling so hard to remember what he was doing. "Blanket. Got you a blanket."

"Wow Y/N," Cairo says, walking over. You can hear the grin in her voice and so you open your eyes as she steps up to Dream's side of the bed. Xer eyes are puffy and red, cheeks wet with tears. "Never thought I'd see the day you and Dream made up."

Wordlessly you reach out and cup her cheek, cooing at how easily she melts into. Xyr lips tremble softly. Slowly, like she's nervous about speaking, she starts. "Sorry I didn't... You— looked dead. We got there and I thought you..."

"Hey, hey, hey, I'm okay," You shush xyr, brushing soothing lines on xeir cheek. She sniffles heavily, taking a deep breath in. "I'm alive, Cairo. I'll always be here, sweetheart."

"Yeah," She nods after a second. "Sorry just give me a second."

"Sooooo," Sapnap starts in the lull. He lifts the blanket with a bit of effort, showing off the softness. "Blanket or no blanket?"

You roll your eyes, relaxing back into Dreams chest. His arms reflexively tighten and you realize distantly that he's asleep. "Yes, Sapnap. C'mon over."

He seems to bounce over happily, throwing the blanket over the two of you and moving to tuck you guys in.

"Nope," You happily say, grabbing Sapnaps wrist and dragging him over to sit on the bed. You throw a leg over him and his face is already ablaze with a harsh blush. "Cuddle time."

"Wha—dude!" He frowns, looking awfully shy for someone like him. "You're already cuddling with Dream. This bed isn't big enough."

"We'll squeeze in," You say pushing his shoulder down to rest on the bed. When he still doesn't look completely convinced, you pout. "C'mon Sap, you're not really going to tell the injured guy he can't get any cuddles. Please, Sappy."

"Aww okay," He huffs, not looking at your face. "As long as you guys don't mind."

"Just go to bed, Snapmap," Dream groans, turning to hide his face in the back of your neck. You open your arms and Sapnap burrows himself into your chest, mumbling something softly under his breath before he relaxes.

You drift off to sleep again, brain humming in satisfaction.

[I wanted this to be longer but I had to keep the Tumblr line limit in mind ueueueu]

[I spent so long working on this because I procrastinated and hit a major writers block until yesterday. But yes I fit in a bunch of flirting this time, yay, and also managed to fit in the subplot of SBI being your distant family you haven't seen in ages :D.]

[The amount of cuddling in this is because I crave physical contact rn so I'm projecting. Anyway have a great day, have water, eat something, get some good dozing in. I love you all /p!]

a/n — can someone pls tell me, if i ACTUALLY enabled anonymous asks? i am lost lol. i also hate this so much

your head hurt, your hand felt numb and you were one more missed assignment away from crying. school was stressing you a lot since the year was about to end and they wanted to make sure that every student got through it despite covid-19.

it was only 6pm but you had been doing homework for more than 8 hours already, even seeing some of them turning into missing assignments because your teachers apparently thought it was cool to not have any structure and making them due to the most random times.

the last time sapnap had checked on you was when you guys had lunch. you actually didn't plan on eating anything before you weren't done with biology, history, maths and english but he forced you to eat something, claiming you wouldn't get done until tonight anyways and he was right. even though you hadn't eaten a lot, you were glad that your boyfriend took care of you when you were too stressed to do it yourself.

sapnap was currently streaming minecraft with his camera on. it was a chill stream after he had recorded a new challenge with dream and george and although it could've been distracting him from you, it didn't. he texted you almost every 30 minutes and asked you, how you were feeling and if you needed something but when he hadn't gotten a text back for a bit over an hour, he decided to go into the kitchen to check up on you.

"guys, i'll leave you for a quick second because i need to look after y/n. i'll be right back", was what he said as he got up and left his room. when he entered the kitchen, he closed his eyes for a second and sighed before he walked up to you. you hadn't noticed him yet because you had sunken too deep into your homework.

"hey babe", be mumbled softly, putting his arms around you. you didn't respond and only leaned back against him, which made him pull you closer. "you need a break, okay?"

you considered it and nodded slightly. "yeah, i'll just get on my phone for a few minutes", you agreed and went to grab your phone but a kiss on your shoulder made you hesitate.

"no, y/n. i won't leave you with your homework, we both know that the break wouldn't be a break if i did. you will come with me. i want you to come with me and chill for the rest of the day", he explained, grabbed your hand and pulled you from your chair to get you to follow him.

"but your stream—"

"don't be silly. they love you more than me but if you want i can end it, i'm cool with that", your boyfriend offered but you just shook your head.

chat could hear the door open, since sapnap had forgotten to mute his mic earlier and only a few seconds later, they were also able to see the streamer and his girlfriend of almost two years. as you got closer to the screen, you could read some of the chat and spotted a lot of messages directed to you, some even worried.

“i’m back and i brought y/n with me because she never listens and i need to make sure that she gets her well deserved break”, he told them and sat down on his chair. you were standing next to him, zoned out due to your headache but he didn’t mind.

two hands were positioned on your sides before nick pulled you on his lap, making sure you were comfortable and secure.

your legs were dangling on his left while your head was lightly resting on his right shoulder. your fingers were playing with one of the straps hanging from his hoodie while he continued the game he was playing. he asked you how you were doing and if you needed something but when you declined and he looked down at you, he could tell that you didn’t have enough energy left to ask for anything, so he pressed a soft kiss on your skin and ignored the chat calling him a simp.

there were times where the game got him really upset but he didn’t want to startle you, which is why he kept quiet every single time. he had a hard time holding back his singing but when chat told him to sing to you, to help you fall sleep, he immediately did.

“okay chat, fuck y’all for calling me a simp when i’m just trying to take care of my girl. i hate you for this”, sapnap said and put his arms around you tightly. “i’ll get off now, bye!”

he sighed quietly when the stream was finally done and halted before his gaze fell upon your peacefully sleeping figure. as he did so often, he kissed your forehead and got up to carry you over to the bed, when he noticed your eyes opening a little.

“i love you. please stop putting so much pressure on yourself, alright? good night, babe.”
