Writer's Amnesia

Took a 3 week break from writing a story and have decided to add a couple of chapters. Only problem, despite extensive notes, I can't remember the deatils of my story. I'm having to re-read it from scratch (it is 200k+ words). Then I say to myself; 'I can't believe I wrote this.' Especially when I see the awful spelling and grammar (didn't use a gammar checker back then).

Oh well, I'll get a fresh look at it when I start on the next chapter. I've got notes and timelines.
