I’ve recently had the most absolute pleasure of getting to see UP’s Big Boy steam engine in person! Well, one of them anyways! There was a display event in the city I live in, and I couldn’t miss this chance tbh.
I can gladly say that this event marks a special place in my heart. As someone who enjoys the history of locomotives and railways, I’d say seeing something like this is very close to me.
According to what the crew team have told a crowd of people (myself included), this is the last Big Boy in service today. So glad that he’s been restored and now running the rails again. 🖤🖤🖤
A little about RL
So... starting tomorrow I’ll go back to college, I’m gonna study Illustration and I hope this brings new opportunities to me in life.
Why is this relevant, well, I’m 26, I screw up my first time in college because of depression and the fact that I was too dumb to know when to quit, I thought I was never going to be anything in life (to be fair I’m surprise I get to this point, I never thought I would reach adulthood) and after some therapy (*cough* meds *coug*) and time to think I’m ready to try this, I’m ready to be someone and be who I dream to be.
I’m still ashamed of the decisions I made. but I need to forgive myself and move on.

Had a big math test, finished it finally. (I want to sleep forever.) And then the supervisor was talking to me about something and I just didn’t have the brain power to decipher what they were talking about. Then I realized they were talking about having like a special lens to view the eclipse since I wear glasses. Thanks but my eyes hate me after putting them through that torture.
(My keyboard is weird. Some buttons don’t work so I’m used to using the numpad 4 for the left arrow key. So then it just spams 4 in the answer box and I’m just like ‘wait a second’.)
Couldn’t help but worry about other stuff too like, do I look weird? Do I look tired? Do I look too shifty, do I look like I’m cheating??? Just a lot of stress. Not so much stress I feel nauseous, I took care of that in the morning, haha.

I just wanted put it out there that I may not be as active as usual in the next few weeks. I’m not going on hiatus or anything, my boyfriend and I are moving into our first actual real house together 🏠! I’m very excited but probably will be very busy for a little bit, unpacking and everything. I’ll try to post when/if I can, it just won’t be as much as usual. Wish me luck! 💕😊
Just informing my lovely tumblr friends that I won’t be posting quite as much as usual. But, ofc that’s not the good news 😐 I just started a new job which is the good news but unfortunately I won’t have as much time for sims *sad face*. I’m not going to completely stop playing, just on my days off or if I have free time after work. I promise I’ll still be around, but not all day everyday like when I was unemployed 😂. I’ll miss my sims of course, but real life *ugh* This has been a public service announcement. /announcement

UPDATE!: Moments of Joy in Rafah Camps
Hussam and his team put together a joyful event for the kids in Rafah camps and wanted to share it with all of us here on Tumblr! This included games, songs, competitions, and face painting all of which the kids adored, and even the adults joined in on the good times. They were beyond happy to see their little ones having fun!
Thanks thank you so much everyone for supporting Hussam's efforts in Rafah, as you can see you're bringing a bit of joy to children's lives. Hussam said everyone was on cloud nine with the amount of fun they were having.

So I found Aaron Bushnell's reddit and went through his comments/posts. That young man was well read and stable as they can be. Nothing in his writings pointed to someone who was "unstable" or "brainwashed".
He held leftist and anarchist ideals. He belong to the ACAB subreddit. He recognized the evil of the US Military even though he himself was a part of it. He hated TERFS and called out fatphobia. He understood the dangers of white supremecy and the evils of capitalism.
He had a cat. He liked the show fleabag and played elden ring.
Apparently in his will he wants to leave any money in his name to palestinian relief funds. He was trying to find a new owner for his cat.
Rest in peace Aaron Bushnell. The world won't forget & we sure as fuck won't let the media paint you out to be some crazy conspiracy theorist who had no idea what he was doing.
