Overlords

This is my late entry for the "Overlords" prompt of RadioHusk Week 2024,which I didn't finish in time because I wasn't on my best health condition during September. And I also kind of lost my motivation to work on it after seeing there was barely any hype for the event (but I decided to finish it nonetheless).

The idea for this is simple:

I wanted to show what I believe was Husk and Alastor's dynamic during the former's overlord days (basically trapping others into their deals).

You can't actually see it but there's supposed to be a "H" on Husk's chair.

Idea

So..I’ve been thinking of starting to write a fanfic..a radiohusk fanfic...

I’m not to big here so I don’t expect anyone to answer this lol just wanted to see if anyone was interested....

it’ll be filled with a lot about how I think husk and alastor met and where their relationship stemmed from. As well as how they found each other in the after life(i like to think they knew each other when alive!) it’s also kind of an Anastasia au thing but not really, only because I took inspiration from the musicals song ‘in my dreams.’ I plan to kinda make it a series?? Like their lives when alive, and when they find each other again. I’ve got a whole thing it’s really hard to explain.....

Does anyone know where would be best to post the fix?? Like here or ao3?? Idk where else but any advice would be much appreciated😁

This is some art that has to do with the fic I’m planning(I’m still working on a title 😅). It’s my designs for a human Husk and Alastor! I’m pretty happy with it! (The words are lyrics from the Jekyll & Hyde musical song-“Take me as I am.”)

Slight question for anyone who wants to answer...what should human husks name be?? I don’t think I want to keep his name husk for the human version...idk lol

Timeline(also headcanons?)

So when it comes to the ages of Husk and Alastor in any of my comics/stories/drawings I have done MATH(which is my least favorite thing in the world) so it would work like this:

When most people draw Husk and Alastor alive together as humans Husk is always a grumpy old man, as he is in canon, but this doesn’t make sense to me if he served (and possibly died) in the Vietnam war. I have a grandfather who served in Vietnam, he was sent when he was 17 and he is now 71( I think I haven’t seen him in a bit). Husk died in 1975, I believe, so he would have been dead by the time of Vietnam if he and Alastor were alive at the same time(1920’s-1930’s) and he was already old.

So hear me out...what if Husk was born around 1900, and died 1975 at the age of 75. This would make it that he and Alastor would be alive(and grow up???) together. As close friends in life, when Alastor dies(1933?) Husk may want to escape the hurt of loosing his closest(only??) friend. 1933 was around the time of WWII, Husk would be about 33 at this point, still able to serve??(I think?? I’ll have to look more into it) Husk would not die there but he would still likely be traumatized from all that was seen in WWII. This would leave Husk a shell of his former self, war torn and broken in a sense. Leading to his gambling and drinking. Throughout the rest of his life this would cause his health to deteriorate, meaning he likely only died of old age. not in battle.

Of course everyone is open and entitled to their own headcanons and opinions, this is just my take on it. I am open to criticism and any advice is welcome! This is for my Fanfic(which is still a work in progress as I have no real/good writing experience)but I would like to start slow. I haven’t written full length things for a few years now so the Story I am writing and story building may start with short stories and One shots first! Animatic Idea

I wish I new how to animate or make animatics at all, but this is some wha what I imagine when listening to In My Dreams from Anastasia the musical. If you’re interested go listen to it!! This is kind of how my story starts out, almost 😅

(Husk is talking with some one about his past. What little he remembers of his life before and what he remembers from his first few years being dead)

They said I was found by the side of a

road

(Husk laying on the ground in Hell, newly arrived)

There were tracks all around, it had

recently snowed

(Pan out to the landscape of Pentagram City)

In the darkness and cold with the wind in the trees (He forces himself to stand. Fade back to him speaking to someone)

A girl with no name, and no memories but these

(Fade back to the memory of what happened as he died)

(Doctors rushing around, fading in and out of vision. Suddenly goes dark)

Rain against a window, sheets upon a bed

Terrifying nurses whispering overhead

"Call the child Anya, give the child a hat"

I don't know a thing before that

(Back to the first scene of his arrival)

Traveling the back roads, sleeping in the wood

( We see a montage of Husk in his earlier years in hell)

Taking what I needed, working when I could

( we see him doing all these things)

Keeping up my courage, foolish as it seems

(Husk shakily standing after being beaten in a fight, refusing to be deterred)

At night all alone in my dreams

(Husk falls asleep, fade into dream)

In my dreams shadows call

(A tall, slender, human figure appears. His eyes are cover in shadows, all we see are his body and smile)

There's a light at the end of a hall

(They begin to dance, but it’s suddenly over taken by shadow and Human Husk is left alone in the dark, he startles awake)

Then my dreams fade away

(He looks out the window of his shabby apartment, it pans back to him flopping down on his bed, trying to remember his dreams.)

But I know it all will come back

One day

(Another dream, Husk is with the figure again, looking out over a bridge, as the figure whispers to him about places they’ll see together.)

I dream of a city beyond all compare

Is it Paris? Paris

(Human husk imagines Paris,and the beautiful things there)

A beautiful river, a bridge by a square

( the figure is lifted above the water and slowly drifts out, reaching reassuringly toward Husk, him reaching back, the figure still smiling)

And I hear a voice whisper

"I'll meet you right there in Paris"

(Husk wakes again, fade back to present.)

Paris

( pan up to Alastor, who husk was talking to the whole time. His face has almost fallen as he realizes who husk is.)

(Husk looks up at Alastor and begins to speak again)

You don't know what it's like

Not to know who you are

( husk stands, putting his drink down in the bar, he begins to become almost manic)

To have lived in the shadows

And travelled this far

( show flashes of his time in the war)

I've seen flashes of fire

Heard the echo of screams

( Alastor has put his hand on husks shoulder, removing him from his state of panic, a flash of the tall figure appears beside Alastor, who looks concerned)

(Husk looks up to him in a dazed sort of shock)

But I still have this faith.

(This will be more in his head)

In the truth of my dreams!

(Husk is on top of a building, wings out stretched , singing into the sky)

In my dreams it's all real

And my heart has so much to reveal

And my dreams seem to say

(The figure appears to him)

"Don't be afraid to go on

(It slowly starts to morph into who it truly is)

Don’t give up hope, come what may"

(Husk is too afraid to remember and turns away looking out over the city.)

I know it all will come back

One day!

( it zooms out on him and the city, slowly fading with the music.)

Hello Again

So I haven’t posted in a while but with the newest post for Hazbin Hotel I’ve gotten the urge to post more about it! I’m mostly here for a question if anyone would be interested in it and even if not I’ll likely still post it 😅. I have a fanchild for RadioHusk (because It’s literally my favorite ship) and I also really wanna share her story with people! I’ve been working on her and her story since around end of 2019, beginning of 2020!

AU idea (because I haven’t contributed to this fandom in so long!) if you have seen Cats Don’t Dance then you’ll understand.

Alastor as Danny and Husk as Sawyer! I just think it would be perfect! Danny is so lively and hopeful while Sawyer is just so over everything. I just think it’d be a fun AU.

So I have this OC (she is a radio husk fanchild, I’m cringe but I’m free) I drew her a few years back digitally but my style has changed since then including house I draw her! So I decided to redraw my Hayloft lyric picture!

THE FINAL PRODUCT! I really like the way I draw her now, much more then I like my old design for her. I wish I was able to fit in some of the other parts of her redesign, but maybe another day! I’m glad to be drawing again! And idk y any one would be interested but if you are interested in her story I’d be happy to share!!
