Protective Pred - Tumblr Posts

Okay so vore scenario:

The pred is part of a group of completely untrustworthy monster-like villains and their SO is human and gets caught up in a portal spell that takes them to the shared headquarters of this group, maybe the pred forgot something and their SO was trying to catch up to them.

Maybe the other villains are preds too, but personally I prefer if they all have their own vices and the pred is the main person who actually eats people. But anyway, the SO gets noticed by one of the other villains first and there all like “Intruder! Spy! Better interrogate them!” and the pred walks in on this trying not to looked panicked and says

“Whoa there bud, let’s not break out the pliers prematurely, just looks like an ordinary mortal to me, in fact let me have it won’t you? I’m sooo hungry.” Feigns swooning from hunger and generally acts whiny cause they know the other villain finds their theatrics annoying.

“Ugh fine you can have them then, but don’t take too long getting them down! The meetings soon! And I better not hear any whining about being hungry during it either since I’m letting you have em.” Drops the human unceremoniously into the preds outstretched arms.

“Oh don’t worry I don’t intend to waste any time getting this delicious human situated in my belly right?” The pred leers at the prey their stomach growling pointedly.

“Oh no, don’t eat me.” The prey says in the driest most deadpan tone ever. The other villain looks at them suspiciously. “Are you sure that’s an ordinary human? I don’t think I’ve heard anyone respond to your taunts like that before?”

The pred laughs nervously “Oh no they’re absolutely terrified aren’t you dear?”The prey turns to the other villain looks them dead in the eye and says “This person is literally my roomat-Mph” The pred gulps their prey down in a rush, exhaling broadly once their prey reaches their belly, “Phew, urrp, hehe pardon.” The pred titters looking nervously at the other villain whose looking at them with furrowed brows. “The hell is a roomate?”

“I have no idea.” The pred lies “Must be a human thing”

The other villain gives a thoughtful nod “Hmm guess it must mean “executioner” or something since you ate them and all.”

“Yes! Let’s go with that!” The pred says.

The other villain scratches the side of their head thinking their acting weird but not really knowing how to place it “Well guess I’ll see you at the meeting.”

“Yes totally! Looking forward to it even!” The pred says animatedly

Once the other guy leaves the preds shoulders sag and they hold a hand to their stomach worriedly. “That was way too close.” They mutter to themselves.

Okay you’ve heard of planet vore...but what about protective planet vore? Like the godlike being eating the planet is actually trying to shelter it from an unfeeling universe full of other planet eaters and similar threats?

Warning: The following snippet contains; Minor mentions of blood and gore, some body horror, lots of arachnophobia triggers. Size difference. A shady fae creature on their best behaviour. Unspecified bargains with said shady fae creature. Some very dead monsters.

The face was familiar, though the size of it was not, nor was the number of eyes, the chelicerae protruding from his jawline, the sharpness of his canines or the number of arms. Speaking of his arms and indeed his limbs in general not only were they larger but proportionately they had elongated to the border of grotesque but merely the border as if Bastion were fighting to maintain some semblance of the illusion of humanity in her presence. That illusion was already well and truly lost, because the being before her was not merely huge and grotesquely proportioned but it’s movements were more like a spider than a man.

“Do not run Ida.” The creature cautioned, in that all too familiar, ever gentle voice, albeit this time with the disturbing addition of distorted reverberations, as though the same voice were overlapping with itself, just slightly out of sync and speaking at both higher and lower frequencies at intervals.

“If you run, I will most definitely chase you and I fear even with our agreement, I will not be able to control myself”

“Are you going to eat me Bastion?” She asked carefully, after all, when dealing with inhumanity, it never hurt to clarify, for all she knew he was simply warning her away from a more painful death, not warning her away from the prospect of death in its entirety, in which case, she was in fact going to have to run.

He laughed and despite the distortion there was something quite deprecating about it. “As much as I would love to, in this particular instance I am in fact trying to behave myself, come here Ida.”

Naturally she stayed where she was. He huffed at her. “Yes I realise it seems counterproductive, but please come to me” There was a note of desperation in his voice and after taking the correct amount of time to assess if this was a ploy, Ida took pity on him, moving towards the hulking thing before her, though even she wasn’t quite sure how she managed to cross the distance.

Multiple arms wrapped around her, the embrace was warm and oddly gentle but there was an undercurrent of strength to it and Ida held no illusions about her chances of breaking free should he not want her to. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and sighed. Honestly at this size he was a little heavy but the way he seemed to sag with relief as he held her, made her feel obliged to weather through it with dignity.

“Apologies Ida, I did not think they would be so brazen as to attack you while you were under my protection. It was terribly rude and I am quite upset with them.”

As she patted one of his arms in what she hoped was a comforting gesture. Ida thought about the numerous dead monsters presently leaking blood and viscera onto the forest floor and concluded that The Spider Prince had a remarkable talent for understatement.

Today’s fun fact about Bastion and the Manor: Don’t try to kill your fellow guests. There are guest rights in place that you automatically forfeit if you harm another guest. This will get you eaten. It’s essentially treated as you “forfeiting” the “game” of the “Manor”. Also this isn’t a magical law or anything but if you do find yourself with the unshakable urge to break guest rights and hurt someone else visiting the Manor I really wouldn’t recommend attacking Ida. Because not only will it get you eaten it’ll make it personal. Bastion doesn’t necessarily understand why some predators draw out their prey’s pain and fear once they’ve already caught them. But for Ida’s sake he’d be more than willing to learn. This only applies to guests. Bastion’s human form is 100% gankable though doing so is kinda pointless and if you have a guilty conscience the manor might even use it against you.

Ida: “You know, you’ve never actually outright said that hunger is the only thing you feel.” Bastion: “Have I not?” Ida: “Nope”

Bastion: “Are you certain of this?”

Ida: “Pretty, certain yeah.”

Bastion: “Does it truly matter that I have never said so in quite so many words?”

Ida: “I don’t know, does it? You’re the one lying by omission, so you tell me.” Bastion: “What makes you so sure it is a lie?”

Ida: “The fact you never elaborate, it’s all “as you say” and “I would not think to correct you” and then you turn around and you risk yourself for my sake!”

Bastion: “I have already explained! You are my guest, my prey, it would do me no good to lose you in another’s jaws. I was defending my territory.”

Ida: “And just that?”

Bastion: “As you say.”

Ida: “Bastion.”

Bastion: “Yes Ida?”

Ida: “And just that?”

Bastion: “I would not dispute you.”

Ida: “But could you dispute me?”

Bastion: “…”

I like to imagine that if someone else other than him tries to endanger Ida. Bastion becomes incandescent with rage. The thing is he’s not normally an angry person, or really that sadistic either, ghoulish and predatory sure, he enjoys hunting and eating. Gets excited at the thought of sinking his fangs into something, enjoys the whole process of devouring people etc and sure people can get really distressed and hurt when he’s hunting them, but it’s not really the goal for him so much as the inevitable consequences of a creepy spider monster being hungry and trying to eat you. He’s not a deliberate tormentor unless torment will get you in his jaws and once you’re his he generally doesn’t try to drag things out unnecessarily. But if someone went after Ida? That would be a different story. He would be very pissed and honestly quite scary. I think he’d have that calm rage that isn’t actually remotely calm but appears that way on the surface. Intellectually he’d probably have some inkling that he was being cruel beyond what was usual for him and that maybe torturing someone who’s already going to be his prey is just pouring salt in the wound, but he’d have such little experience with being angry and scared on someone else’s behalf that I don’t think he’d be able to find the breaks and it would be the person who decided to threaten Ida’s problem.
