the most common argument i’ve seen against bisexuals being part of the queer community is “they don’t face as much oppression because they’te half straight” and let me tell you as somebody who’s been openly bisexual since early middle school and made that clear multiple times, the fact that i’m “”half straight”” never made any difference…. they still called me a dyke and a fag and threw sausages at me and showed me pictures of dicks and pointed at random women and asked me what i “thought of that”

also “but bisexuals can just pretend to be straight!!” so in this world you’ve made up it’s easy for bi people to just suppress their attraction? to pretend they fit into a mold they’ve never fit into? to stay in the closet their whole lives? no.

it doesn’t matter how much you think i’m not actually queer because i also like men (which isn’t “unfortunate” or “miniscule” which is part of my experience), if my grandmother found out i’ve been attracted to women before i’d still be a dirty dyke to her and she’d disown me.

stop being exclusionists…we should all be in this together. i should’nt have to be ashamed of my attraction to men. it doesn’t make me less queer.
