... like ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Nasturtium majus is the indigenous species for where I live in TX. This might be a tasty addition to my garden. I'm open to foraging, but the foraging in practice might be more dangerous with so many unknown factors. I don't know how many of my neighbors, or the city parks and recs, spray pesticides or herbicides.
when it rains look for rainbows wear a raincoat
when it’s dark look for stars go to bed
Bottle Cap Salt Tabs
Another cheap and easy way to protect an area

With the salt hardened in the cap I wrote the rune of elhaz on the other side with sharpie. You could probably use any sigil or rune or protective markings for it, but I’m using the futhark runes because I wanna.
Then I’ve placed them in out of sight places all around the suite to protect the whole place and everyone in it.
Witch tip for the babes;
You do not need anything to cast a spell. No objects, words, or sigils are necessary. Sometimes they may even hinder the spell’s effectiveness.
Remember, all that is necessary is presence, passion, and intent of the purest form.
Harvesting Weeds For Your Practice And Drying In The Microwave!

Today was a beautiful day. Although it was a little cloudy, and kind of muggy my daughter and I decided to go ahead and venture outside to pick some weeds. When I say us, though, I mean her. She trucked outside while Mama got stuff done and Disney Princessed her way around the yard singing and spinning in circles her weed back in hand!

Once she had a bag of henbit and dandelions, she brought them inside where the two of us began to harvest out what we needed. This would be the purple flowers of the henbit and yellow petals of the dandelion. So as we separated them we put them onto a paper plate topped with a napkin. There must be a napkin or paper towel under the plant matter you will be drying or it will stick to the plate.

This is what the pretty flowers looked like before hand. Beautiful in their color, thin layers. If you bulk them up too much they will not dry evenly. You can also cause some of them to burn.

Put them in the microwave on high for 1:30. One plate at a time. Be sure it is topped with a paper towel or napkin as well. Check the plant matter to see if it is dry and crispy. If not continue to microwave and check in increments of 30 seconds.

Once dried the flowers will be obviously smaller in size. We found it pretty neat that the dandelion also fluffed up as well. The smell of the Dandelion was quite nutty and seemed as though it should be eaten. After a taste test however, it just kind of resembled unflavored popcorn. LOL.
All in all, it turned out really well. Although it takes a lot of henbit, but that is to be expected! Good luck everyone!
WITCH TIP
I’m so mad I didn’t think of this sooner!!!
For all of my witches out there that need their morning coffee/tea-
Take like 3 minutes out of your night to pick out which mug you’re gonna use in the morning, and then put a crystal in the mug overnight!! I tried it last night by putting a blue lace agate in one of my mugs overnight to help me stay calm during my stressful day today and I think it’s a great way to infuse your mug with positive energies!!!

Paper Magic
Paper magic is an excellent option for us witches who love the written word or just can’t break the bank on magical supplies but usually have a few scraps of paper lying around (note: most ideas here are cheap, some may not be). Here are a few ideas of how paper magic can be used in your practice.
Scraps/Sheets of Paper
Soak paper in infusions/gem elixirs matching your intent and let them dry -this will give the paper its own magical charge to combine with sigils, runes or charm bags, or allow it to be used on its own. (ensure the gems/herbs you use are safe)
Use the newly charged paper (possibly with a sigil on it) in crafts or place it around the house for protection
If you have it, used coloured paper (perhaps post-it notes for some) to match your intent, i.e. green for a money drawing charm
Writing words and phrases of importance to you (i.e. psalms or song lyrics) on small pieces of paper and carry them around as talismans and charms
Creating a paper poppet
Origami and other paper shaping crafts to create charms, talismans or for spells (i.e. a jar full of paper stars with happy memories on them to preserve or attract happiness)
Books and Words
Inscribe words on an apple or other food representing your goal and eat it
Black out spell -take a damaged book or page and black out all the useless words on it to create a sentence/phrase representing your desire -this can then be framed, kept, used in charms or spells, or burned as you see fit
Inscribe words, lyrics or psalms onto candles to match the intent of your spell or act as spells in themselves (i.e. I need a dollar dollar, dollar is what I need and burn for a money-drawing spell)
Ink and Pens
Create your own ink and add in a few drops of essential oils that represent your will if necessary -there are a variety of methods in the links provided, and many possibilities exist (i.e. making ink with ashes, all manner of plants)
Creating ink too hard? Draw sigils or runes on your pen/ink well (or stick a piece of paper with runes/sigils somewhere on them)
Charge your pen and/or ink with intent

🌙 Daily Witch Tip🌙
If you want to start divination but you don’t have the funds to buy much, choose three rocks from nearby. A dark one, a light one and one that looks different.
The dark rock is no.
The light rock is yes.
And the different rock is your base.
Hold all three rocks and ask your question. (Yes or No question)
Throw/toss the rocks like you’re rolling dice. The rock closes to your base rock is your answer!

Being A Magical Practitioner: 1. Question everything you are told and read. 2. Hell even question this post. Only YOU can decide what is right and what works for you. 3. What may work for someone else may not work for you. What may work for you may not work for someone else. 4. Your practices are YOUR practices.
Support: 1. Ancestral veneration is so important. 2. Communicate with your ancestors daily. 3. They will help and guide you on your journey more than you will ever know. 4. You have several guardian angels and guardian spirits built into your existence, get to know them. 5. There is magic within you. Embrace your own power. 6. Mind your own magic. You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing. You don’t have to explain your practices to anyone else. Do you.
Tools: 1. White candles are fantastic for every single purpose. 2. You can print your own labels for glass candles and glue them on plain glass candles. You will save money this way in the long run. 3. You don’t need every single tool to start off with. 4. Water is life. Water keeps the flow of your magic, filters and is a conduit to you and spirit. Keep clear glasses of water in your home. Change them often. 5. Your altar space doesn’t need to be fancy. 6. You do not need expensive herbs. 7. Mirrors and Magnets are the best tools closest to crystals to magnify and amplify your magic. 8. The bible is a book full of spells and divination.
Herbs: 1. You can get most of the herbs you need from your local super market and dollar store. 2. Salt: Protection or cursing. Various Powdered Peppers: Protection and Cursing. Cinnamon: Money and Lust work. Basil: Money and Luck. Bay Leaves: Protection and Granted Wishes. Rosemary: Protection. Chamomile: Peaceful Home Workings. Cloves: Protection, Love, Control and Bindings. Eucalyptus: Cleansing. Thyme: Purification, Healing.
Floor Washes: 1. Do Floor Washes in odd numbers. One series to remove the negativity and one series to bring in good energy. 2. Curse Killer Floor Wash: Hot Water, Ammonia, Lemon, Salt (optional) Open Roads Floor Wash: Cold Water, Florida Water, Parsley, Mint Leaves, Coconut Water (Strained of pulp)
Various Cleansings: 1. Cigar or tobacco smoke is a great alternative to sage sticks. 2. You can cleanse yourself with an egg and a glass of water. 3. You can cleanse yourself with lemons, limes and oranges. 4. When cleansing your home make sure to open your windows and doors. 5. Start from the back of the home towards the front and then to various rooms to confuse the negative energy. 6. A can of beer and salt will cleanse your aura. 7. When you cleanse yourself, make sure to replace what you removed with good energy.
Powders: 1. You do not need to purchase branded powders from metaphysical shops. Money/luck powder: Bank dirt, Shredded currency and corn starch. Love/Passion powder: Rose petals, Cinnamon and corn starch. Open Roads powder: Dirt from four corners of a crossroads and corn starch. Add three dimes to bottom of container. Cursing Powder: Graveyard dirt from criminals grave, black pepper, red pepper, cayenne pepper. Protection Powder: Church Dirt, Psalm 91 passage from bible, Psalm 23 from the bible grinded into a powder. Oils: 1. Do not buy oils from the botanicas and metaphysical shops. Most are made with mineral oil, a synthetic fragrance and colorant. If you want that, Get yourself some baby oil, food coloring and scented fragrance oil of your choosing. I wouldn’t recommend it though. 2. Get yourself some Olive oil, Sunflower oil, Grapeseed oil and Vegetable oil at the supermarket along with some Vitamin E oil for preservative. You can make your own charged oils with herbs and a few glass bottles. 3. My favorite simple oils: Lust Oil: Sunflower oil base, Vitamin E, Cinnamon stick, red rose petals, and Vanilla Bean Money Oil: Grapeseed oil base, Vitamin E, Cinnamon stick, nutmeg, basil and thyme. Protection Oil: Olive Oil base, Vitamin E, Rosemary, Basil, Eucalyptus Life Force Oil: For when you need extra power in your magic. Olive oil base, 3 drops of blood. Blessing Oil: Olive Oil, Vitamin E and Psalm 91 torn from the bible.
Deities: 1. You do not have to have a deity in your practice. 2. You can practice secular magic. Secular magic is a practice that does not refer to, venerate and otherwise “work with” any deities (or, in some cases, any supernatural beings at all). This is perfectly okay. 3. If working with deity, never promise what you can’t provide. 4. Feed your spirits and deities. This can be with food, alcohol, energy, light, darkness, anything. 5. Know the spirits and deities you are working with. 6. Listen to your intuitive pulls when it concerns your deity. 7. No one can tell you the right or wrong way to worship and work with your deity BUT you should learn their mythos and their base wants, needs and what offends them. Misc Magic Info: 1. Your magic will not punish you because you can’t practice every single day. We are human, and sometimes life gets the best of us. It is okay. 2. Magic should never ever replace mental and physical health diagnosis and services from healthcare professionals. 3. “Black magic” is a racist term used to demonize the practices of people of color that are seen as “barbaric” or “uncivilized” to Europeans. Therefore “White magic” is considered good and “black magic” is considered bad. Energy is energy. Do not allow anyone to dictate your practice. That racist term is bullshit. Our melanin is magic. Our cultures and our roots are power. 4. You can purchase a Tarot deck from Amazon. You don’t need it gifted to you. 5. ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher in your home. 6. NEVER leave candles unattended in your home. 7. Coffee grounds speed up work. 8. Meditate. Leave the fuckery of the day at the end of the day. You will thank yourself in the long run. 9. Keep info to yourself. Not everyone needs to know what you are doing or all your secrets. 10. Do not bring your shoes into your home.
How do spells actually work?
Before casting one, you should know the basic concepts of this!

Spellwork has a lot of different forms. Some people compose their spells in the form of prayer to their deity of choice, ask spirits to aid and guide them and others simply do everything themselves. People who don’t even believe in spellwork cast spells all the time. But what makes a spell ‘work’?
Spellwork is at the most basic level, energy manipulation. It is the process of you putting your personal energy into the world in the direction of a certian goal to enact change. You have pushed this energy out into the world, given it a direction and it is pushing energy at your goal and causing a shift. The chain of how this works may differ depending on who you ask but this is a very basic principle of spellwork.
So it’s important to keep in mind that casting a spell does not mean your goal will happen. It just shifts things a little more in your favour, makes things more likely. Spellwork is an aid to real life situations, it can not create them. It means that there is a higher chance of your goal happening, but nothing is definite. You still need to work towards your goals outside of witchcraft! The spell is there to help you but it can not do all of the work.
Frequently Asked Questions:
So how do deities and spirits come into this?
Many people pray, have rituals or make offerings to deities to ask them for their aid. This is essentially the same thing as casting a spell, only they are also appealing towards a divine source to aid them in putting that energy. In regards to spirits, it is the same thing. People are asking that spirits lend their energy or protection.
Can I cast a spell to win the lottery?
You can, but don’t expect to win. The odds are so impossibly high that the small amount of favor a spell will grant you likely won’t make much of a difference.
What do you mean by energy?
The basic energy that lets you live your daily life. It can be the adrenaline when you go running. Think of the anticipation you get before you do something, the rising sense of excitement and nerves. All of that can be put into spellwork. You can also use extreme emotions such as anger, happiness, joy, sadness…
Do you have any proof that this works?
Aside personal experience and the experiences of the Pagan community as a whole? No. But there’s no proof of any religion aside from people’s personal experiences. Millions believe in those. If you’re on a witchcraft blog looking at this in the first place then I’m not sure why you’d ask for proof.
✴️️ To Nullify a Spell ✴️️

sometimes spells just flop, and you want to redo them. but before you do that, you should nullify the first attempt, to prevent the first attempt creates conflicts with the second attempt of the spell.
⚫ TO NULLIFY ONE OF YOUR OWN SPELLS ⚫
WITH SPELL INGREDIENTS:
✴️️ gather the contents/ingredients of the spell you first cast it with
✴️️ separate the burnable and non-burning contents of the spell
✴️️ salt the burnable ingredients lightly (such as paper, herbs, etc)
✴️️ burn the ingredients, and cover the non-burning pieces with the ash.
✴️️ rinse the non-burning pieces clean and cleanse them.
WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL INGREDIENTS:
✴️️ gather as many of the same spell components as you used to cast it
✴️️ perform the spell backwards, speak any chants used backwards.
however, sometimes it isn’t a spell you cast, and things can get a little trickier. how do you nullify a spell you didn’t cast?
⚫ A SPELL YOU BELIEVE HAS BEEN CAST ON YOU ⚫
✴️️ gather a bowl of salt water and a black candle
✴️️ place the candle in the center of the bowl
✴️️ burn a hair of fingernail clipping of yours on the flame
✴️️ let the flame burn down until it is extinguished by the water
⚫ A CURSE YOU BELIEVE HAS BEEN CAST ON YOU ⚫
✴️️ make black salt but combining ash and salt
✴️️ burn it safely. ward and cleanse your area.
