literally only an hour since indigo disk’s release and i already caught a shiny
HOW???
Same happened to me, and I kid you not, I was genuinely talking. Specially during our final battles on the indigo disk. I think something about how he went from this cute, shy kid who genuinely enjoyed the battles even when he lost, to this teen with dull, dead eyes that only cares about winning against us might have something to do with it.
Maybe this is a little silly, and maybe I’m being too meta about it, but while I was playing through the DLC I kept getting this urge to talk to Kieran through the screen like “no, no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be able to win against me, but it’s not because there’s anything wrong with you — it’s only because I’m the protagonist, and if I don’t win, the story can’t move forward.”
I don’t know what it is about this guy that makes me wanna break through the fourth wall and explain to him his narrative purpose, but his arc really compels me — maybe it’s the way his obsession completely, dramatically overtakes him
y’know looking back it’s kinda funny how much my opinion on Ogerpon has changed since Teal Mask was first revealed
when it was revealed I honestly didn’t care much for it, I was just more drawn to Terapagos initially
then after finishing Teal Mask it’s literally my favourite pokemon of all time, pretty much half of my entire personality and occupies most of the space in my singular brain cell :3

kieran would be completely detatched from everything tech. barely even know how to work a tv remote. ive seen so many "hes emo and listening to emo music" he prolly doesnt even know what emo means 😭
like, mc would be going on about something related to their favorite game, while this boy has been watching movies and shit on cds and vhs tapes because his grandparents didnt have anything else. bro would be nodding along and smiling like how people do when they wanna act like they know what your talking about because he'd be too nervous to say "uhhh what the fuck are you talking about?"
