❄️ The Hero and the Fairy ❄️ this piece has been a long time coming~ i originally posted the initial sketch back in December, in fact! so, if anybody still remembers that, and helped choose this piece’s direction - thank you! and i hope it turned out to your liking! and i also hope that everyone who is seeing it for the first time enjoys it as well! (-^ v ^-) i feel like this is they Otayuri piece i’ve been waiting to draw since the first time i saw episode 10. i’ll be posting the WIP shots for this in the next few days, so for anybody who enjoys those types of things, keep an eye out! Otabek is a crafty smooth bamf.
I’m sure he overheard Yuri saying that any guy that wears sunglasses on their head is scum, so when he gets stopped and asked for dinner, he takes his glasses off to make intense eye contact… he never places his glasses over his head.
Yuri calls him and asshole so he gives an extra intense stare and turns around and walks away without any reaction. To engage Yuri at this point would be useless and anyway, they are surrounded by fans and JJ, not the best moment to make his move. But he makes sure to be memorable in his own intense quiet way. Leave Yuri wondering what’s his deal.
And then he shows up at the right time and right place to save Yuri from his fans. Could be argued that it was a coincidence, but he had TWO fricking helmets with him.
And then he takes Yuri to a very beautiful place with an amazing view and offers his friendship after basically praising Yuri in a way that no one does. Doubt that what he said was rehearsed, but he clearly has thought about it before.A lot.
