The first rose of the season! This is Flower Carpet Amber which is seriously mis named. Amber yes. Carpet no. This is a full shapely upright bush 4 ft tall and wide, loaded with pointy red orange buds. Will post full bloom when that happens. The buds open to peach/apricot color blend that fades to cream with an orange tinge. Flowers are 2" wide, usually in clusters, some quite large. When first opening a very light hint of wild rose fragrance. Since flowers are semi-double they don't last as long as fully double flowers, but they are quickly replaced by new blooms. Foliage is dark glossy green and very disease resistant as long as there is good air circulation. Reblooms in smaller waves all summer into Fall.
