One Piece Questions #1:
* Favorite Mugiwara no Kaizoku?
Roronoa Zoro

I don’t think this answer has ever been different for the 16 years I've been invested in One Piece honestly, everything about him is something i either love or respect. He’s loyal and kind despite his looks, he has such a good balance between lightheartedness with those he trusts and cares about and the harshness to even bloodthirsty side of himself he gives enemies he can’t respect.
He’s strong in so many ways, but he’s still human and he’s still incredibly perceptive of things in battle and simply with people. He can still be naive at times though, occasionally letting his honest to a fault nature come into play when he assumes those around him are the same. He’s honestly such a capable person i look up to at times and i look to for comfort and inspiration at times, he’s someone i would love to have as an older brother or a friend of that archetype.
I love seeing him happy as it makes me happy, i respect and care for him and i genuinely wish to see him attain his goal and live life. He’s a bad-ass from his looks to his skills, and a kind good man at heart i love and always will.
One Piece Questions #2
* Favorite Flashback scene?
Johnny and Yosaku meet Zoro

Okay, so honestly just the entirety of episode 135 is such a treat. I adored the relationship and dynamic of those two dumbasses and Zoro, it’s very familial it felt like and i couldn't get enough from Baratie to Arlong park. Seeing them split so soon then made sense, but it was a huge loss on seeing them together more. So to have an entire episode just be one long flashback story of how they met was a treat i never expected, especially all the way back just before the Skypeia arc.
One Piece Questions #3
* Favorite Villain?
Senor Pink and Charlotte Katakuri

I couldn’t decide between these two so i decided to allow myself a tie for this. So starting with Senor Pink, his story is honestly just so compelling and hit me very hard and suddenly when it was revealed. You don’t think about him much before it’s revealed, just face value and i thought he was okay, a bit odd, but fairly bland or a gag character at first. But as his fight with Franky goes on and we learn more about Doflamingo and all he’s done in Dressrosa to manipulate towards his goals, we see a man just trying whatever he can to reach the only one he has left. He’s much more honorable than he’s given credit for, and i loved him as a person and character by the end of his time in the arc.

Now, Katakuri i like as a character and knew i would just from looking at him. His design is extremely in my ball park of things i love. Every detail i got about him across the Whole Cake Island arc just pushed me into loving him more and more though. From his seiyuu and other small things to him as a person: how he is with his family especially Brulee, his own backstory of how he trained and forced himself to conduct himself as he does, his honor and respect for good opponents like Luffy, his fantastic and amazing abilities like his way far advanced observation Haki, i love it all. I enjoy him, the scary but protective and loyal older brother to his siblings and guardian of them and his people of his family’s country. I hope we get to see him again after Wano even if just in passing, he;s a delight.
One Piece Questions #4
* Favorite Arc?
- Skypeia

This arc felt like it was the real true beginning of everything. Everyone on the crew was starting ti finally settle down into their roles and dynamics, things were beginning to get serious just before this arc and after it and the davy back fight, everything from then forth is always world shaking and grandiose. The politics and the real nature of the world we’ve been shown kicks off after this. Skypeia feels like a great beginning to the shift in tone without smothering in world building and politics and government dealings so soon after Alabasta’s piss poor excuse to try and fail to explain the beginnings of the world government workings and such.
The characters introduced in this arc are so interesting and charming from Conis to Wyper and all in between. There’s tons of amazing fights, moments of true bonds on display between the strawhats, and the general plot, aesthetic, and humor of the arc are all such a treat. I remember though i had always watched the anime as it aired on toonami growing up before getting older and switching to watching the Japanese releases online, this arc was the only one fully on box set at my library and i had sat down for a week re-watching the arc on binge watches, it was amazing.
One Piece Questions #5
* Favorite island?
- Wano

This answer is a little bland probably compared to past and future in depth ones i’ll do, but i’m an absolute slut for anything Edo period japan or along those lines in aesthetic. Everything about it and it’s society are such a huge draw in for me, i love Wano-Kuni so damn much even though we’re not too far into it as far as the anime. (The manga is another story though XD)
One Piece Questions #6
* Favorite Female CHaracter?
- Dr. Kureha & O-Tama
This is another one i just couldn’t pick between them for.

So, starting with Dr. Kureha, I view her as someone of incredible strength and someone to really admire. Despite her age, she fights against injustice in her refusal to leave when Wapol took over and after he left she not only served a a doctor, but helped Dalton in becoming a leader for Drum Island in part to uphold fairness and goodness for it’s people. Seeing her at the reverie was such a treat, it made me so glad she was still so relevant not just to the background of Chopper and to a degree with Roger, but she was still going and with vigor.
I love her personality and attitude, so spunky and teasing with an edge to it yet still kind and caring as a doctor and chopper’s teacher and parent figure. Her design reflects this well too, old and of the world before Roger and probably even before his age too, yet she dresses young and comfortable and acts as she pleases like the pirates we’re guided to cheer for in the series of this great pirate era.

O-Tama was a surprise even to me, i don’t typically like child characters due to my dislike for children in general, but she balances a sweet childishness and a learned maturity due to her life experience in the suffering Wano that really struck me. She’s compassionate and kind, but of her own virtues not just simply so from her naivety as a young child. I felt for her when she wept and smiled when she did,i love her a lot and i can’t wait to see where she goes in life be it ending at the end of the Wano arc or if we get to see her grow up to any degree or become further involved with Luffy after Kaido’s inevitable defeat.
She is a wonderful character to see with types like Luffy and Zoro, falling into usual habits of children clinging to him for Zoro and a rarely seen but not unnatural maturity and responsibility in Luffy. Whole Cake and Wano are the arcs where though we knew it before, we really see the fact that Luffy knows lives are on the line, he can fight all he wants but he won’t always be able to help or save everyone and so he clings so tightly now without coming off with desperation, to those he cares for. He feels more responsible and honor bound than before, knowing he can’t act once and walk away satisfied and O-Tama seems at the focus of this new side to Luffy I enjoy deeply.How he acts around and because of her and her connections to those already lost that caused such changes in Luffy are so good to see, from a characterization standpoint.
One Piece Questions #7
* Favorite male character?
- Rocinante Donquixote

Before i say anything, this one was a tie as well between Cora-san and Zoro, but i’m doing my best avoid doubles for responses, though luckily i honestly feel just as passionate here and its not settling for a second place. With that said...
Gods, there is so much i can say yet, i feel none of it can truly describe my love and appreciation for this man. I don’t think i can ever really say how much i love him and what i love about him, his kindness, his depth, his quirks yet skill to balance them. His determination and sacrifice not outright out of chivalry but simply personal want and need, his selfishness just so happening to be selfless i feel means so much more than some moral code or credence or sense of duty. Everything we saw him do, even before law with him infiltrating the DOnquixote family, he did out of his own emotions and wants and he was just so human. He messed up, he tried and failed at times and succeeded at others, his circumstances were terrible and he knew it and he still made impossible choices under impossible odds.
His warmth, his humor, his tragedy and sacrifice were not selfless, but they were important and so is he. I love his design in every way, those intense eyes once hidden as a child under a mop of hair matching a wide cheerful smile all accentuated even more with the marks on his face. His ridiculous height fit him well given his charge was such a stunted young boy, the one who was to be seen as feared proved the kindest and sweetest one could be all things given to the boy who forgot how to smile. Hs passion and anger rose in that boys honor again and again, showing him possible of terrible things without a moments pause yet he chose to love.
Whilst I haven't reached WCI yet, I am aware of Katakuri and some of his powers. As such, I'd like to pose the following questions about Charlotte Katakuri:
Is his mochi edible?
Can he change the flavour of his mochi?
Does the mochi have any nutritional value?
If someone took a bite out of Katakuri's mochi and he turned back into flesh from mochi, would the piece that was bitten off stay as mochi or turn to flesh?
Idk, me and a few friends were just chatting about katakuri and this just popped into my head.
Further questions regarding the edibility of one piece characters:
Do zoan types taste different in their human, animal, and hybrid forms? For example, would kaido taste different in his regular, hybrid, and dragon forms?
Does armament haki have a taste? If yes, does it taste different for every person? Does zoro's haki taste different to luffy's?
Does chopper taste like a reindeer or a human? Like, he ate the human fruit, so there's a chance he'd just taste like a human.
What would marco's phoenix form taste like? I think it would be something like spicy chicken but not spicy enough to cause pain. Like, bird + fire + healing = not painfully spicy chicken
Would queen be safe to eat? Like, disregarding any illnesses I may contract from eating a literal dinosaur man, the chances of me trying to take a bite and having some circuitry exploding in my face is probably too high for it to be worth it
How would king taste? And what would be the texture of his meat? Would the areas closer to his fire taste spicy? Would they just be really well done? Like, are the parts the fire touches like jerky whilst the leg is just normal meat? Or is it that the closer it is to the fire, the spicier it is?
Apologies for any misconceptions or mistakes, I'm still nowhere near wano, so I don't actually know if any of these have answers or are even feasible lol
