What if Marco Adopted Nami?
just as the title says- this is a fic where Marco ended up on Cocoyashi village right after Arlong took it over.
Summary-
Turns out, Thatch getting a devil fruit with Marco in the same room as him turned out to be a bad combination that resulted in Marco halfway across the world on an island heād never even heard of helping people he had no intentions of helping.
Really- a freshly pillaged village should be the least of his worryās. He should've just got through the time it took for his family to pick him up minding his own business.
But- when a malnourished ginger haired little girl that was treated like the village pariah somehow wormed her way into his heart without his permission, he realized he couldnāt āmind his own businessā anymore. Couldnāt ignore the problems making themselves known on the island.
And when he found out justĀ whoĀ made the girl the way she was? well- he never claimed to be aĀ saint,Ā and he was certain it was about time the āArlong Piratesā learned why messing with family of the Whitebeardās was the worst mistake they couldāve made.
