everybodys going on about how ed will react to seeing stede again and what stede will say but i disagree. i think none of that will happen. i think theyll both spend months going over a million different ways the reunion could go and when it actually happens its none of them. i think its going to be a "you came back" from ed and stede just standing there with that stupid little smile of his without a thought behind his eyes. they wont progress further bc before stede can formulate a response pete olu and jim are trying to toss izzy overboard and everyone else (including fang) is cheering them on. one of the captains has to break it up and neither get the full story until two episodes later. stede makes ed tea one morning and goes "i did mean to show up, ed, but chauncey badminton led me into the forest by gunpoint and shot himself in front of me" and ed has to do a full factory reset. stede hasnt even gotten to the defile beautiful things part yet. all of the crew think they just made up on the first day meanwhile it takes a month for stede to realise ed waited for him
