Oc: Fulgur - Tumblr Posts

I saw honk in a dream I had last night and I had to draw him

Silly little Fulgur (made because i was messing with the watercolor brushes in ibis)

This is my abstract son, he has a god complex and does pro bono in dream court sometimes-

Faceless entities made of plasma
I've got so much lore but here's a tid bit
Before Fulgur came to as he currently is honk was uh two things. Right now I'm only gonna talk about the first, an angel. He was the angel of dreams and cough deceit cough, then shenanigans occur Fulgur is cast from heaven, although honk's not really a fallen angel/demon. He's a spirit, he's caught between the realms of heaven, hell, and the mortal realm (even more so when he merges with the second thing which one person already knows about but I'll talk about laterr)

Imagine with me if you will-
More lore people! (okay so im retconning this a bit. bear with me)
Of course we're sticking with honk beginning as an angel, but after the fall! He kinda just wandered about for a good while messing with demons and principalities until they eventually got fed up, captured him (after much trial and error, who could've known the angel of deceit would be so difficult to ensnare?), and removed honk's grace. (in this case, Fulgur's grace is this ball of infinite fire) Honk falls to earth along with his grace, however they fall in different locations. (the one half in a random elizabethan english village and the grace crashes into some noble's castle)
Fulgur is reborn as some mortal bloke to an infertile couple, and is pretty normal all things considered. There's just something slightly off about him... anyhow. Timeskip, honk lives out in the middle of nowhere, random day he finds some shadowy figure trying to break in (or rather just peer in, doesn't really matter to Fulgur though) and flees in terror. Gets lost, comes across the local townspeople with pitchforks and torches on a witchhunt. Honk tries to escape but its futile, gets shot point blank. Sees hell for a few seconds, tries to resurrect honkself while detached from his body. But! he is prevented by his brother (yeah he has a brother, he's adopted his name is Oswyn) and honk's body is burned.
He is visited by the same shadowy cloaked figure who has come to reap him, Fulgur pleads with the entity for anything but the fate that awaits him. The figure mentions an available position for spirit of guidance and offers a burning ball of angelic grace (woah where'd it get that). Fulgur accepts and becomes what honk is today BOOM

Fulgur gets a short lived job as a sleep paralysis/fire demon, it's anyone's guess how he managed to get hired considering honk's priors- recruiters so desperate to get more demons they forgot to do a background check on him
[The Principalities and Presidents who deposed honk way back when were under the impression he was dead by this point because its been ~400 years but nah he's been at full power for most of that. and by the time Glasya-Labolas or whoever gets the Archdemon reports back and realized that that prick fallen angel who had been making trouble for them four centuries back had somehow come back and got himself hired into their ranks- honk already messed things up AGAIN and gotten himself fired.]

Yeah so they used to have a comic series called Firebolt about this spirit guide thing called Fulgur- it got a cult following but didn't do well financially. Most of it is lost media now except for a few covers.
Wait I think I've heard of that before, didn't the fans call themselves fulgurites?
Mhm
I remember hearing that they believed that they saw Fulgur or whatever in their dreams-
Who doesn't?

Within the mind, behind the eyes
There lies the dreams, the self in its crystalline purity.
Visions of past and yet to come
And that which will not come at all.
You know what is there and not what you see
You look in the mirror and your eyes deceive
Despite everything, it's still you.
Wherever the dream giver may guide
Whatever facade you may hide behind
However contradictory the shards that shape the whole
There lies the self, behind the eyes
Inside the dreams, within the mind.
