I loved this idea so much that my new longform dellie fic (which I am editing and posting soon!) includes a dog companion!!

Am I the only one pissed off that Ellie was supposed to have a dog and the producers SCRAPPED IT?!?!?

In the second game after joels death she was supposed to find an injured dog and help it get back to better health. The dog would have ended up helping her through the story. The producers scrapped it because in the scene where abby and lev find ellie in the theater,they didn't know if killing the dog was to harsh so they just scrapped it cause they didn't know what the dog would do or where it would be. In that scene. I love the idea of ellie having a dog but what do yall think they could have done to make the dog stay the whole game. Cause the producers also thought of having it so in the end ellie was alone with the dog and only the dog so idk what do yall think?
