Outside, the autumn sun is shining warmly, and a cool breeze is blowing. With the "ber" months in queue..I’m excited for this beautiful season to unfold and the stacks of the books 📚.

{Notes of the day: after leaving my home country and coming back for university exams I have regained some sudden sense of productivity that tends to turn off whenever I’m back in the homeland, perhaps it is the free coffee machine in the study lobby or perhaps it is the fact that I’m completely alone and have nothing beside library books and rainy streets to save me from boredom’s subjugation. Who knows, really. Tomorrow shall finally be New Year’s Eve, might go buy some cheap wine and tell myself I deserve it.}
{Notes of the day/2 : had to go back to my room to get some more water and textbooks in the middle of a study session and when I came back some random guy was seated at the table already filled with all of my study materials. It was a weird interaction. He stayed there even after I sat down and continued doing my work while he was on his phone the entire time. He just got up out of nowhere and left. I’ll never make a single friend in this residence at this point. I’m like that Lilo & Stitch meme but instead of an angel I just ask for a good conversationalist.}

Notes of the day:
Finally getting back to my previous reading flow, I have collected a rather ambitious number of books that I must read before my trip to London. Most of them are related to exile, language and how one carries one’s own culture through writing.
I have just been told that I will have to do two 8 hour shifts next week as a student ambassador and I am trying not to lose my mind with the amount of pain killers I’ll have to consume to keep my sanity in check.
Next week is the last week of my internship, which means more time to study for my language exam. It is getting sunnier which means I’ll have to procure something outside of my fully black wardrobe and start finding coffee shops to study.
I recently finished Twin Crowns and it blew me away! What I enjoyed most about it was that it was a story about two sisters, similar to Frozen, and that was one of the driving points of the story. My review:
The pacing of the plot was excellent; it never felt rushed or like it was being dragged on.
The writers took their time with the relationships, especially Rose and Wren's sister relationship, which I loved so much. Their contrasting personalities are hilarious! The two romantic relationships are also well developed; neither of them felt forced.
The world building and lore are fantastic, I loved the backstory of the kingdom, the history of the witches and how this is all connected.
The book also has several emotional moments that really hit me hard, especially the ones in the final few chapters, which also help to set up the sequel.
Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. Looking forward to the sequel!
