Pro Tips to Clear Negative Energy from a Room (for broke people like me)

You don’t always need fancy magic materials to cleanse a gross-feeling room. These are my go-to, down-to-earth methods for making creepy, negative, tense, or otherwise iffy rooms comfy and grounded again.

- Turn on your favorite uplifting, feel-good music (something happy). Turn it up so that it fills the room!

- Occupy the room. It sounds simple, but rooms can sometimes feel iffy if they’ve been left alone for too long. So sit in there, preferably with friends, and lighten up the energy by watching funny videos/a comedy movie/etc, talking lightheartedly, playing a fun game, whatever it takes to fill the room with laughter and happy vibes

- Clean the room. Dust, sweep, vacuum, spray some good-smelling stuff or light a scented candle. Physically cleaning literally takes old stagnant energy and removes it, allowing new energy to come in.

- Open up all the doors/windows. Get a cross breeze going. If you have small wind chimes to spare, putting them in an open window to chime is traditionally a good way to “break up” the old energy.

- Rearrange the room. Sometimes if the room is crowded full of furniture or nick-nacks, it’ll trap old energy and feel meh. Just moving stuff around can change the energy

- Clap your hands/use a spoon and a pan to make a lot of loud noise in the corners and nooks and crannies of the room. This also “breaks up” the old energy

- Place a bowl of water and iodized salt someplace in the room where it won’t spill. This acts like a trash can for negative energy. Depending on the size of the room, you might need two or even three bowls.

- A vase of fresh flowers or a potted plant will bring some fresh new energy into the room

If you have crystals, incense, or smudge sticks, those will work wonderfully, but they aren’t necessary. My go-to room-cleansing crystal is selenite, but you can also use smoky quartz, black tourmaline, or citrine. Standard sage works well, but you can also burn rosemary or cedar. But as always, go with your gut and do whatever feels the best for you. Happy cleaning!

Hii Atsuha, how did you and Junpei first meet? Was it on a mission? Also can you tell us the story behind Junpei eating Yahito’s hand? When and why did that happen??

Well... it is indeed a long story. Or maybe two stories...

I'll tell the first one here.

When I came to Japan, I was decided to be a jujutsu sorcerer. But it's not like there's an agency for that sort of job, not that I know of at least.

So after tracking some rumours, I came around this urban legend on Satozakura High School: a legend about a boy who cursed a bunch of students and then died.

Hii Atsuha, How Did You And Junpei First Meet? Was It On A Mission? Also Can You Tell Us The Story Behind

Don't get me wrong, I didn't just came up and invaded the place; in fact, I FELT something. Something akin to what I witnessed in childhood and later on in college.

Someone was there... among the students and staff, unseen.

And that someone was Junpei.

Turns out in his barely conscious state, he switched between his human and transfigured form, but at some point during this rumour spreading division, the two forms split apart, thus his transfigured side began to roam the hallways, acting by pure instinct, while the consciousness remained with Junpei.

And that's where I found him. Or better saying, where he pulled me and Yuuji-sensei in when we were hunting the 'giant crocodile'.

Oh yeah, I forgot to explain that, sorry. Basically, I was visiting the school with a job hunting excuse, and then there was an accident revolving a student throwing himself off the window. Gladly it wasn't that high, so he just got some bruises. I took that cue to explore the hallways, and later on... a curtain fell around the place.

Yuuji-sensei arrived just as I found the 'giant crocodile'; he tried to get me out of there, but once I showed him my ofuda ability and quick thinking, he agreed to let me help.

So, back to the AV room... There was shock, and some tears as well, when the two of them reunited. Junpei told us his side of the story, and while Yuuji-sensei felt a bit of regret for not coming back to Satozakura earlier, I put the pieces together and realized/theorized that since both Junpei and the crocodile were the same soul, exorcizing one or the other wouldn't help; the negative energy was concentrated and somewhat melded in the very precinct, and would eventually respawn either one of them, though with less consciousness if Junpei's soul was gone.

Maybe it was a stretch, but Yuuji-sensei noticed that I did NOT aimed for an immediate exorcism, that I wanted to help that lost boy find peace. And the way to start... was to join him with his lost side.

Thanks to Yuuji-sensei, we were able to reach out to and calm down the giant crocodile; that is, once we trapped him. Once Junpei took him back, I offered to make a Binding Vow to get him out of the building, to remove him from that melding source of negative energy and allow him to leave the precinct.

Sorry, got excited. I finally got to tell a bunch of stuff here! Anyway, I'll tell Yahito's story soon, but for now, that's how I met Junpei.
