ok so i know it's not scientifically #accurate (but tbf we're dealing with catboys and shapeshifters here. yk) but i am like. obsessed with the idea of a belly getting full enough that the belly button just. pops out suddenly. like a timer on a turkey yfeel me. and uh. sloane. with that. would be. uh. haha

Sloane rubs his belly beneath his shirt, letting out a tight breath. The kittens are shifting again—rippling against his insides as they swell into a different form. Sloane tries to soothe the numb, stinging stretch in his skin—when he feels another, more stabbing stretch in his navel.

Alarmed, he pulls his shirt up…and looks down on a reddened thumb of flesh, like a finial for his stretchmarks to radiate out from: The upheaval in his belly has punched his bellybutton convex. 

Sloane sighs, covering his stinging navel with a palm. “You guys don’t play fair,” he mutters down to his stomach—wincing when the now-enlarged kittens within start to kick.
