A new day is born at Lac Dupuis, Estérel, from the Laurentian Mountains, Québec, Canada.

Never be late in the morning when you feed Ravens on a regular basis.

Morning visit from one of our friends of the Corvid family. We named her Diane and she's about 5 to 6 years old. With a wingspan of 45 to 51" and a mass around 2 to 3 pounds, she's the largest and the heaviest in her species. Quite amazing for a passerine bird right?
And right now she want a chicken egg so we better give it to her.

Northern Raven captured at dawn through a bay-window; so you need to pump-up the volume.

Another visit from a Red Fox who’s probably looking for a little Red Squirrel to chase. We’ve seen three of these Squirrels around the house, eating sunflower seeds for birds the entire morning.

Diane the Demoness wants some unshelled peanuts this morning.
Sometimes it's chicken eggs, chicken's hearts, fresh pork meat, pork liver, pieces of whole wheat bread... but this morning it's unshelled peanuts. And of course she wants it now.
Northern Ravens are, the biggest one of their species.

#Fireworks
The issue with fireworks is that some people are not aware or simply just forget that fireworks have a huge negative affect on wildlife and even on domestic animals. Especially when living in the countryside. Our dogs for example get crazy, act completely irrational and even endanger themselves.
Fireworks greatly disturb wildlife around here, cause fear, stress and anxiety to poor animals. They panic, abandon their nests, burrows, logs, trees and flee their natural environment leaving their young behind without any chances to survive on their own. Also fireworks are always of course, initiated at night when birds can’t fly. Why can’t they fly? Because they just don’t see in the dark. So they’re panicking; flying around and don’t know where to land, get short of breath, hit trees or buildings, have heart attacks to finally die and fall down on the ground.
That is very, but very cruel.
It does not only happen in my countryside but also in cities everywhere around the World.
So before initiating fireworks people, please have a special attention of what’s living around you.
It happened before, it still happening and will happen again.

#Wildfires
These actively burning wildfires must stop.
They say that these high temperatures followed by lack of rain have a long-term effect on society, wildlife and nature. And also that wind can spread smoke and gases over wide areas affecting thousands of kilometers downwind.
Here we're at more than 5000km from the main activity and everyone can feel the effects.

#TheDayAfter
...yes, climate change.
Lanaudière, Québec, Canada. May 25th, 2022.

Diane is still looking for some attention; or should I say, a large sized chicken egg.

In many countries/cities fireworks are banned for great reasons as well as for wildlife conservation.

In solidarity with people affected by climate change's effects:
Once the location has been determined as not accessible by land; Rescue-Chopper is always the best solution you can get in case of emergency evac.
:Relevant footage from last year's #TheDayAfter because yes, climate "is still" changing.
