Monthlyprompt - Tumblr Posts
Explanatory Post
Hello everyone!
This post is just a basic explanation of how this blog will run from now on in. We officially started the blog on the 19th of September 2017. We hope you enjoy being part of our community!
Weekly Prompts

Firstly, shout out to @weltraumheldin (Admin Jana) for making these wonderful banners! Weekly prompts will come out at the start of every week. These prompts will all be for works under 1000 words in length where you are given a simple prompt and have to create a piece using it (anything you like, fanfics, one shots, poems, original writing, absolutely anything). You may post these onto your own blog and tag it under #weeklyprompt or submit it to the network.
Monthly Prompts

Monthly prompts will work exactly like the weekly prompts only that they’ll come out once a month and much longer and they’ll also be a bit more thought provoking. Please tag these under #monthlyprompt or submit it to the network.
Random Prompts

Random prompts will come out (as the name suggests) randomly. These are just free for use. Please tag these under #randomprompt or submit it to the network.
Tags
Please tag your works with #thewritersnetwork if you’d like us to reblog it onto our blog. Also please indicate if your work is not safe for work. If you would like something to be given feedback on please also tag it as #feedbackwanted so that we can give it feed back specifically.
Feedback
Feedback will be given when asked (via the #feedbackwanted tag or asked directly to the blog) but if anyone has any comments to share with any other member after reading their writing then it would be lovely if an ask is left for them in their own message box. If you’d like to anonymously give feedback for something then send an anon to the network specifying which writing you mean and your comments. Constructive criticism is great, but if we find anything rude or hurtful we will not post it.
Formatting
If your writing is over 500 words please put a keep reading cut off
If nsfw, please try keep most of it under the keep reading cut off
Specify if your writing is NSFW
I hope everyone enjoys being part of this network, we will work hard to make it a nice, safe, and productive environment for everyone to share there writings! If you have any questions please message us.
~Admins Annie and Jana

Write a One-Shot about being a ghost or your bias being a ghost. It doesn't matter if it's a lovestory, some kind of weird friendship or something spooky. The theme is totally up to you, guys. Also the situation they're in ;)

Hello, I was wondering if there was a monthly prompt for December?
Hello, unfortunately there hasn’t been a monthly prompt posted this month. A lot of the admin has been extremely busy and in particular the admin who does the monthly prompts has had a busy few weeks. I’ll post one today or tomorrow, I’m sorry for the wait. Update: I just posted this months prompt, here’s a link ~Admin Annie

Write a story based off your favourite Christmas song. You can follow the song’s narrative or create your own but it must tie with the song.

Write a story based on a bad experience around valentines day. It could be anything and not something you personally experienced. But as valentines day is always about love and happiness, we just want to turn things around. But, if you want to, you can include a happy ending, for sure :)

Write a story based on something spring related. Sorry for being a bit late again! But here we are with another monthly prompt. I kinda call it: spring awakening, since spring is just around the corner (well, in most countries at least). So you can write anything spring related. A poem filled with emotions. A oneshot filled with new love ... anything.
