MCC day people! Be nice please. It's spooky season, and I don't feel like getting into discorse this time around. Just, enjoy the event. It's all for fun anyway. Good luck to all the teams out there! Have fun everyone.

Manifesting that pink and red don't both get into dodgebolt so I watch people cry.

Also manifesting that red team doesn't win so that I can watch the chaos of dream fans saying that it's rigged.

Update: currently watching bad's stream. About halfway through, and both dream and sapnap aren't that nice at all. That's the best way to put it. It feels like their both passive aggressive to bad, and sort of George too, although less so. Dream and sapnap both definitely have egos, and I feel like they expect more out of bbh and George, even if bbh and George are at different levels then them. Idk, that's the best way I can put it, but halfway through bbh's pov, and the team do far has not put the sweetest taste in my mouth.

Okay, I tuned into the last end of Hbomb's stream. Right at the part where he was watching bad's pov of battle box, and...just..the fuck? What the fuck was up with dream and sapnap. I see why they weren't doing good in battle box now, they were being toxic as shit to their own teammates. Like, I get that they were frustrated, but seriously????? Fucking hell. I don't usually hate dream or sapnap directly, like at most I think they need to controll their fans a bit more, but that battle box? It was so bad, and I get why now. My God. I was planning on watching bad's pov anyway, and I still will, but do they ever apologize to bbh? Like...seriously. Im done with dream adjacent things for a while after I finish my watch of the mcc povs.

Update again: finished bbh's vod, and honestly....I didn't like how dream and sapnap were treating bad like he was a weight on the team. It just felt off. Maybe that's because I don't usually watch competitive mcc players, but I didn't particularly enjoy it that much. I feel like dream and sapnap definitely have an inflated ego by "being the best mcc players" but I don't think that should have gotten in the way of them just being kind of toxic. Like, the amount of times I heard them say that bbh was being stupid was a lot, and idk if that's just how their friendship works, but it's definitely something that made me turn more away from liking them. I also don't think either of them can communicate with a team that well at all. Like, battle box is a really good example of this. Neither dream or sapnap were listening to bad when he asked them about the strategy they were going for, and instead just called him useless for not getting any kills. Bbh is right in calling them both toxic for that, because it fucking was. And neither of them even apologized to him either. Like, if this was an actual game of like, soccer or something. And one teammate asked the others what plan they had agasint the other team, and the teammates just answered with, "your just being useless. Just get the goals. It's easy" that would be classified as fucking toxic. I don't know. Bad said it was fine, and it's not really my place to say shit about people I know a lot less then an actual friend of those people, but i just don't think it was right. I don't think dream and sapnap should be teamed with eachother again if this is how they act towards their teammates, and honestly, I think they need a break from mcc. Or at least being competitive mcc. If they could just be on a team where the main priority was just having fun, I think that would be beneficial for them, but I don't know. Just my opinion really, but tldr: I don't like the way Dream or Sapnap treated BBH in particular this mcc, and I think they need to calm the fuck down when it comes to their competitiveness.

Just read @aroaceacacia 's analysis on why Parkour Warrior isn't the best game, and I want to add something to it that I've had I my head for awhile.

Basically, my theory is that for an Mcc game to be good, it either needs to have a communication aspect to it, or a fast aspect to it.

Hear me out. Mcc is a tournament with 10 teams and 40 players. People who watch it want to watch people talk and interact because it's basically the biggest collab that happens every month. If teams aren't talking to eachother during a game, then it feels slow, so the game itself needs to be fast paced in a way. This is reflected in all of the good games of mcc.

Below the cut is a bunch of examples and a conclusion if this topic interests you. I don't want people who aren't interested to have to scroll through the entire post soo..yeah.

Parkour tag: teams who aren't fast at parkour talk to eachother to give callous on where the tagger is, and teams that are mainly parkour or speedrunner based are just nimble enough to not talk to eachother if they choose. Fast and has a lot of coms.

Ace race: many people tend to mute, but even if you're considered as a "slow" runner, you never really get stuck on an area for more than 30-60 seconds at a time. A fast game.

Sands of time: you're literally on a timer that most of the time, only one person can see. You need to be able to talk to your team mates, and you need to be speedy. Fast and has coms.

Rocket spleef: because of the new changes, you can't just camp an area or stand still anymore. You need to keep moving. Talking isn't nessary, but Warnings are always helpful. Fast and some coms.

Battle box: as seen from mcc all stars (red rabbits spefically) you need comps for this game, and being fast to place your wool down is also important if a team decided to rush wool. Fast paced and coms.

Survival games: may be a slower game, but people need to be talking to eachother to stay alive. One person can't just go off on their own because they would certainly die. Coms based.

TGTTOSAWAF: the premise is get to the end as fast as possible, and interaction between people who aren't on the player's team can kinda make up for coms in some situations. Fast paced and kinda coms.

Hole in the wall: team mates talk to eachother about where the wall is coming from, and the speed of the wall gradually increases. Some people don't like it because ping can be issue, but on paper the game is fast and has coms.

The games people don't like usually, (buildmart and parkour warrior) can sometimes struggle with being entertaing because they are both on opposite sides of the spectrum with nothing to make up the middle part.

Buildmart is purely communication based, and even though the goal is to go quickly, if a team can't communicate with eachother then they can't get things done fast and the game feels slow. A team needs good synergy and to be on the same page or else this game falls flat.

Parkour Warrior was purely about speed. Even though it said it wasn't, it really was. The goal was the progress, but if players weren't progressing fast enough, then the game got boring. People went to watch people like dream or technoblade do parkour warrior because they were fast at it and it was satisfying to see them breeze through the course.

Meanwhile, watching any player who wasn't a parkour expert (which was about 95% of them) was slow, tedious and boring. Everyone would go mute and not talk because they needed to focus.

The difference though, between parkour warrior and Ace race, was the in Ace race, there are constantly speed boosts. Literally making the game faster. In PW, players could get stuck on 1 area for 8 whole minutes and by then most of their audience would leave and it would feel even more disheartening. The teams with the better parkour people would get a huge boost in coins and then the rest of the event would feel lethargic, because the teams who weren't good at parkour would basically be missing out on an entire game's worth of coins.

There are more reasons, better explained by the person I @ ed above, to why pw isn't that good of a game; but for me, it's because afterwards, it just felt like the energy and excitement was just drained out of any team who didn't do good in it, which again, was most of the teams. This lead to a boring experience during the game, and a slight feeling of unfairness, which isn't something you want in a 40 player, 10 team championship.

In the end, mcc games need to be either fast paced, or having the players talk to eachother for them to be good mcc games. Games that rely too heavily on one of those two aspects can fall flat depending on the team, which is why it's a good idea to keep a little bit of both in all games.

This was long, sorry for taking up so much scroll space, and I hope whoever reads down to the end has a great day. Take your meds, water and food, and have a good night.

God. Lime Llama vibes were on point. I love it. Teams with good vibes are the best no questions asked.
