I got a throwback to the TV show Mia and Me today, so I decided to draw Onchao and his family! For those who don’t know the show, Ono & Lyria are the parents of Onchao and his little sister Kyrara. Not exactly proud all of them but I do like how Onchao turned out!

I know that the show plays it off as a joke that Mia takes a long time to properly learn to fly but like...her wings are literally new limbs that she never used before. It's kinda realistic that she has difficulty using them. And it's nice to see that although Mia is the only one that understands unicorns, she is not perfect in everything. She needs quite a bit of time to master this (like 21 episodes iirc)
Sometimes family is an orphan girl from another world who understands unicorns, an elven prince, his tomboyish best friend, a young unicorn with wings and a golden horn and a banished pan who accidently invents the weapon that saves the world.

Randomly remember that one cutesy show that I really liked and was ashamed of watching because I didn't want to be seen as a girly girl (or just a girl in general as my trans-masc ass figured out way later).
Now after all those shitty feelings are outta my system I want to revisit it, and first go over to AO3 to look up Mia and Me fanfics, because of course I do.
There's only a handful stories, most of them abandoned and or very short, one incredibly long and cool looking that definitely went on my to read list, and one with a trans guy.

I think one of the things that appealed to me about Centopia was the option of wholeheartedly being yourself (and probably also wanting to look like Mo).
And considering how different Violetta looked in Centopia (also damn does she give me vibes), centopia feels like a trans person's dream. I know it apparently was mine.
I really, really want to write a fanfic now for a show I haven't watched in years. Please send help (and join in if you also want to make something out of this old show)

I feel like Mia And Me needs more content, and this is one of my ways to contribute. I also make drawings and these images that I publish serve as a reference for future drawings.
For now some characters are missing but as time goes by I will update them. It's really cool when I see people using these images I publish, it's a little silly of me but I feel relevant hehe 🫣
Also i noticed that Gargona has many admirers! I published several photos of her, I really like her 😊

Watching the 4th season I reached the 7th episode. Yuko mentioned that she and Kuki searched for the Shimmering Moon flower 13 years ago. Thinking a little, in my opinion, I believe that Yuko must have been around 3 years old at the time, perhaps? So today she, Mia and Mo would be 16 years old
I tried to use a little logic... I don't think a very small child would go around, and I also don't think Yuko is over 16 yet. Hmmm
But this is all just my opinion... What do yall think?
