THEN ALDERHEART, AN ABSOLUTE UNIT COMES OUT AND IS TWICE THE SIZE OF BRABLESTAR AND THE CAT IS S H O O K

I’ve always envisioned Jayfeather as a very weird looking cat who kinda soaked up the genetics of all his family members

He’s got a very oriental like body but he gets his massive bushy tail from squirrelflight and half his fur colour from leafpool while half comes more from crowfeather as well as his ears and face.

Also, the reason my Jayfeather has such a massive tail is due to his oriental type body, orientals typically have longer tails than normal cats so Jay got that length while also getting the massive fluff from his aunt

Berrynose always trying to play ambush Jayfeather, Jayfeather being out to collect herbs then he hears the tiniest rustle of leaves or fur and he JUST BOLTS WHOLE BERRYNOSE YEETS AFTER HIM

Jayfeather having a bad day and berrynose proceeds to bring him a heart shaped leaf he scouted out in the forest.

Berrynose having a bad day and Jayfeather proceeds to try be goofy to cheer him up.

" Berrynose. " " Hm? " " why did the two leg cross the road?". " Dunno, why? " " I dunno why do two legs do anything??". "WHEEZE"

You bet ur ass that either berrynose or Jayfeather will sneak into eachothers nests and snuggle.

Alderheart has been woken up like 20 times from berrynose trying to sneak in quietly but failing horribly. He lets it pass though since he likes seeing his mentor happy and snuggling with his boyf

Them fighting and giving each other the silent treatment for five whole minutes before one of them apologises and they make up.

Imagine if bramblestar has to stop Jayfeather from constantly taking Berrynose when he's told to take a warrior for whatever.

Like " Son I know he's ur mate but if you need to go to windclan I would PREFER you not to be flirting with him in camp"

Jayfeather says fuck you dad and takes him anyway

Onestar then complains at the gathering that they smooched in his camp despite all of the windclan finding it adorable and nice.

All the leaders collectively tell onestar to stfu

Jayfeather goes missing one day and everyone freaks out but it just turns out he was out and berrynose caught him in a hug trap

Tbh I really wanted Fuzzball to stay in the clans, of course I knew he couldn't since A, he didn't wish to, b, his interest in medicine would have made a 4th medicine cat.

But his entire dynamic with Jayfeather was great, even if Jayfeather gave him the cold shoulder Fuzzball still loved the guy, and Jayfeather obviously cared for Fuzzball due to him comforting him.

So now I propose. . Let Jayfeather have a kitty pet son, LET JAYFEATHER BE A GRUMPY DAD WHO WOULD LEGIT FIGHT A CLAN LEADER IF THEY HURT HIS SON

This is ThistlePaw/Flame, a young medicine cat who later grows up to be an insane rougue.

He was birthed from adultery, his mother mating with another cat besides her own mate. The cat refused to come out but his father broke up with his mother, yet still treated ThistleKit like his own flesh and blood. The biological father was furious however, thinking that thistlekits mother would become HIS mate when his father broke ties.

When the tom died he of course went to starclan, full of hate and spite he used his status to soon begin walking in ThistleKits dreams, when the young kit told his father about this he was quickly put into a spot of a medicine cat. The dreams however soon became darker, the starclan walker manipulating him and causing him to accidently murder clan mate after clan mate in belief he was doing the will of starclan.

When starclan found this out and without the knowledge of his manipulated mind, several deceased clanmates came back and began to haunt ThistlePaw, torturing his dreams with their wails and screams.

After seasons of this and one horrible leaf bare he turly lost his mind, and in an act of pure madness poisned the clans water stream that ran through camp, causing the death of all the kits within the camp.

As his leader wailed about how this could happen ThistlePaw came bravly forward and announced it was him, that it NEEDED to be done, and that there should have been more dead.

He was then banished, renaming himself ThistleFlame.

Now alone his mental state simply worsened, the screams of his murdered clanmates only louder without the occupied time of his medicine cat duties.

Like it would so cool for starclan to also function like the living clans, like yeah they hunt and have a camp but. . It would be amazing if they had mentors and apprentices. We know thst kits don't grow older but surely they could still go through some of the things? Even if they leave out battle training, it would be an amazing way for cats who died a paw or a kit to gain a warrior name. Hell what would be COOLER is if the kit or paw could CHOOSE what leader they wished for to name them, do they want the leader they died under? Or do they see another as a hero, have they become close with a leader and wish for them to do it??? They are all one clan so its not like its a bad thing for them to choose, say a previous shadowclan leader naming a windclan kit or paw.

Sorry, rambling but just an idea because it Sucks that they can't get a warrior name

How cool would it be if Jayfeather used echolocation, like??

He doesn't really have to use it within the camp because he knows where everything and everyone is but when he's out collecting herbs and stuff he just clicks about.

It would be even better if Jayfeather was taught this by Longtail--

I lowkey dislike mistystar after this book, i was p neutral on her but the amount of HYPOCRISY she exhibits when judging.

And then shes SHOCKED when mothwing was like

" No, i wont come back you blindly followed something with next to NO PROOF and judged me by my heritage of a half clan cat WHEN YOU YOURSELF ARE A HALF CLAN CAT. "

And then BANISHED TWO PERFECTLY GOOD WARRIORS FOR FIGHTING FOR WHAT THEY THOUGHT AND KNEW WAS RIGHT

I know this will 100% NEVER happen but the idea of Jayfeather retiring to the nursery would be so cool. Jayfeather isn't the type of guy to yknow,, sit and laze around like an elder, so him retiring to the nursery would just--

Jayfeather in canon is rough around the edges, but he has a heart of gold and a soft spot for kits as we see in his interactions and inner thoughts. He loves how they don't fumble around his lack of eyesight, he would be an amazing den father. His previous skills as a medicine cat would help to be mothers feel secure, and he would defo be stern on unruly kits ; but he would also make sure no kit was alone, he would ensure no kit felt unwanted AND HE WOULD DAMN WELL MAKE SURE NO KIT WAS ABUSED.

Jayfeather, is and can be a kind, gentle and loving cat, he just doesn't deal with any bullshit which is what kits need. Sometimes younger cats feel like they are alone, we see that ALOT, so Jayfeather, the cat who grew up BLIND, went through the grief of being LIED to and the feeling of betrayel, he also forgave so much, he went through the dark fucking forest and was given powers leaving him isolated. A kit whether disabled, troubled, prophesied could relate to him when they couldn't to their parents.

Please god, let Jayfeather go out properly, not in an elders den where his talents would rot away with him, leaving him known as the old bitter cat. Give him a chance to NEVER feel like he did in kithood, that his blindness was a burdan and that he was worthless. Let him nurture kits to feel confident with themselves without CODDLING them and making them feel different. Give him the CHANCE to end that fucked up motion that disabled cats are not useful unless they are a medicine cat, give him the chance to never again let another poor kit be swayed into a life they do not want.
