All in all I think q!Aypierre was probably one of the most easily misunderstood characters in the qsmp, (besides Baghera and imo Roier) and I think a lot of that has to do with how a lot of foreign viewers first impressions of him was the first few weeks of the French arrival when q!Aypierre was still doing his “lie down on my bed and you’ll feel better” bit before he got with Maximus. And I think for some people they never really saw anything more than that, especially since a lot of Aypierres lore is entirely self contained. Q!Ayrobot is a character from his own series years ago. Most of the lore drops come from premade cinematics that would occur at the end of his own streams. Antoine did a little bit of rp with him but that was mostly contained in the French sphere. As a non-francophone the first time I really took notice of him and his lore was when I was watching a Philza stream and the happy pills arc happened. And seemingly out of nowhere the flirty genius French engineer was suddenly taking drugs to deal with his daughters disappearance. At the time I remember seeing an uptick of posts wondering about what else we had missed out on with his lore. I don’t really have an end point to this point just an observation.
