KiMa OTP Prompt
Okay, a friend sent me this and I couldn’t resist. I pretty well sucked at it, because my answers are all “depends on the situation”. I’m a sucker for well-balanced relationships. Everything’s based on the headcanon I use for fic writing. who wakes the other one up with kisses: Maka, because Kid is really hard to wake up. Even when she doesn’t sleep at his place, she pops in through his bedroom mirror to kiss him awake in the morning. Liz is very grateful that she got to give up the job, and Kid is happy that she no longer sends Patty in to do it for her. Maka always starts in plenty of time because Kid is very good at persuading her to snuggle in bed just a little longer.
who cooks for who: Maka always cooks when they’re at her house, which she insists on regularly so that Soul doesn’t gorge himself on junk food. She loves making dinner in The Gallows’ awesome kitchen on the cook’s night off. She’s a good cook, although she’s not at Tsubaki's level. (Tsubaki cooks like woah). Maka likes cooking from scratch, and making nice, healthy meals.
Kid’s mother taught him elegant French recipes and he occasionally whips them up to impress his girlfriend on date nights. He rocks Julia Child but is hopeless at normal teenager food. He didn’t grow up on tater tots, boxed macaroni and cheese or pizza and is sort of fascinated by them in a distrustful-but-wanting-to-fit-in sort of way. Soul and Black Star love making him eat that stuff and once held him down and forced a corndog on him. He retaliated with escargot.
who is the morning person/night person: Maka’s definitely a morning person, although she can burn the candle at both ends when she’s studying or has a deadline to meet. Kid’s a bit more of a night person, but mostly he just likes to sleep. His responsibilities as a Reaper, student and Spartoi member sometimes keep him so busy that he doesn’t see his bed for a couple of days at a time, so he enjoys his rest. He’s gotten Maka to agree that Sunday mornings are for staying in bed until at least 10am, waking up to have sex and then doze back off a few times.
who is the romantic one: Kid likes to make romantic gestures and say really sweet things. Maka is a little more pragmatic; she tells him she loves him often and constantly proves it in thought and deed. They both remember little anniversaries and like taking care of each other. They adore each other, and also adore the fact of their relationship, so they take good care of that, too.
who is the top when it comes to sex: They like to take turns. Maka’s the adventurous one, but Kid’s kinkier. They like it passionate, loving, giggly or sleepy-gentle - it depends on the time and the circumstances, but it’s all good to them.
who would lead in ballroom dancing: Kid. Maka has admitted in canon that she's not great at it. Headcanon says that Kid enjoys teaching her to dance and they often have little afternoon or evening dates in The Gallows’ ballroom. The one thing Kid can’t do is Tango, so they learn that one together.
who is the more cuddly one: They both love cuddling, although they’re private about it. Quick kisses, holding hands or putting their arms around each other are plenty of PDA for them. Every once in a while they’ll risk teasing each other in semi-public but they’re really quite circumspect. When they’re alone they love snuggling up together to read, study, watch movies or play kissy face.
who is the one to most likely pick the movie they watch: They take turns on this, too. Kid has shown Maka every James Bond movie ever made and she shares her romantic comedies. They both love classics and art films, which their friends make fun of them for.
who is the one who would pay for dates: On big nights out, it’s Kid. He’s got the money and enjoys spending it on her. She lets him do it because she knows it makes him happy, even though she feels insecure in super elegant/trendy places . Maka feels comfier buying him takeout or taking him on casual dates to her favorite burger joint or bistro. That’s when Kid is the one out of his element, because he didn’t grow up in an informal, hang-out-with-friends environment until he met Liz and Patty.
who is the one who would initiate a quicky during classes: When they first start dating as teenagers, they’re both too nervous about getting caught to do something like that. As an older couple, Kid likes asking his wife to his private office for a “conference” that involves a romp on the top of his desk. Maka likes to jump him in cars, drag him off during fancy receptions and do naughty, teasing things to him in elevators.
