Favourite Episode Masterlist

It sure is a podcast distributed by Rusty Quill huh
Yet another reason why this episode was so cathartic is that we got Jon seeing through a lie.
And not just a lie–a long con strategy to manipulate him that goes back several seasons. And not just from anyone–from the literal incarnation of lies and deception and false friendship.
So many horrible things have happened due to Jon being manipulated and fed false information, that it would practically be writing out the entire series to list them all. AND HE SAW THROUGH IT. He realized that Helen wasn’t just the Fun Rude Friend, but someone who would do anything and everything to stop them from fixing the world. He knew that she would have even gone so far to use Martin against him. The stakes couldn’t have possibly been higher; if Jon had continued to take her at face value like Martin and most fans did, it could have sabotaged their chance to save the world.
“Helen—is that…a lie?” was not only maximum Hot Jon Rights, but one of the most thematically satisfying moments in the show.
can we appreciate that martin “knife” blackwood’s Murder Vibes are so strong that Helen was more afraid of him than she was of jon
