the pjo tv series was a godsend but!!!! as much as I like Annabeth and Percy being each other's anchor in the lotus casino episode, I am SO SAD we didn't see them cut loose and be kids.
like, in the book (yes I know the show changes things hear me out) in the book they believe they have enough time and they decide to stay on what they thought was some rich family's dime because they're kids on a world saving mission and just want to sleep in a real bed goddammit!!! I feel like it would have been so fun to see!!! just a little bit!!!

I just found out something new about Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief!! So remember when the trio goes to the Lotus Casino and Hotel? When they get to their room Percy says there is a CLAY PIGEON launcher on the balcony…
For the longest time I assumed he meant LITERAL CLAY PIGEONS. Like clay statues of pigeons being shot out of a gun. I thought it was cool and fitting for a magic arcade trap. (For reference what I was imagining:)
Anyway! It turns out CLAY PIGEONS…are actually disks that are thrown or launched. I found this out a few minutes before writing this rant. This both makes much more sense and takes away the whimsy I accepted as a kid reading PJO. I will never read the Lotus Casino Chapter the same way… (Also here are actual clay pigeons:)
All the respect to the new pjo episode BUT have to say that Levitating was not serving the way I was hoping. Not that they should’ve used Poker Face, but may I suggest a song that I think would’ve fit better?
It’s recent (like Levitating,) clean, AND has the c*nty vibes that Gaga has and that Levitating was lacking.
