Hi something I'd like to point out about Gajah and Lolopechka is that they simply would not survive if something happened to the other. We have see hints of this in the Manga, Gajahs self directed anger that he then uses to fight Megiucla and his selfhate for not being able to protect his Queen the most important thing in his life.
Then with Lolopechka, we got to see the absolute despair she was in, her desperation to help to protect and make right of her wrongs- (her incapability to protect her kingdom) because she, like Gajah absolutely hates herself for what she couldn't do
They both put themselves up to the standards of protecters for there kingdom and the people close to there Heart. So when they fail that what they may as well consider to be there life purpose (with Lolopechka it's more literal ) then they fall apart. They will feel the same depression and hate for themselves and never put the blame on anyone else but them.
So if Gajah really did die then Lolopechka would have lost it, she would have fallen into a dessper that could potentially swallow her whole. The fundamentals for her character may change completely from kind to cold and close off as to not fail again and to not feel anything for anyone again. (a wonderful example of this is @teleportationmagic devil Lolo au :33)
For Gajah if Lolopechka wasti die then not only did he fail his kingdom, his duties, his people, his friends but mostly himself. He would isolate and just train day in and day out, at times just not sleeping at all. His Pride shattered to pieces not even getting the chance to be honest with Lolopechka about how he feels. Even if she did reject him, he would have gotten it out of his chest.
But both would consider the idea of just- not keeping their life... They are so similar and I love them to death pls my babys
