Hume said that the self is only our collection of senses which means that we are only what is present in the very moment. anything else we observe about ourselves belongs to a person that no longer exists this could be good or it could cause a good deal of disassociation I am not beholden to that person even as I live them is self love looking forward hoping for a better you? or is it looking back and loving how far you've come giving mercy to the person you were? does a line on a graph divide the graph into two or three areas? does a line or a point take up space philosophical waxings self love question love the self Past Present and Future time
