I don't see why people are offended by this? It's well known that post-concert depression is 100% a thing and literally the worst. Plus he doesn't say anything degrading about depression or people who have it. Why are people going nuts about him even mentioning depression? Having that attitude about it, to the point where if someone even mentions it (without speaking badly of the people who deal with it) you get up in arms, is detrimental to spreading awareness about a major mental health issue that many people face. People might be afraid to talk or ask about it if they see someone getting slammed just for saying depression. A better title for that article or whatever the hell it was would be Stray Kids' Member Mentions Depression During Fanmeet, he wasn't joking ABOUT depression, he was saying something he hoped the Stay in front of him would have a positive reaction to and trying to make them feel better. It wasn't even a joke? Post-concert depression is very real.
How do you guys feel about this?
People who suffer from depression. I get it.
I love Channie. And I know he was just...making a joke. I know people get offended by these things and the people who suffer from depression can eother get really offended and go off. Or people who do, will jusy play it cool
But I'm pretty sure there's some drama about this already, but I just want to say, you guys can do whatever you want. I'm just going to say, not to attack Chan on this thing. I already saw a lot of people writing hate comments about him. And it hurts me to see that.
For example:
"He's a clown. Someone just kick him out"
"Nowadays it's hard being a stay because of Chan. Bang chan stop being such a clown."
"Chan is the reason why I don't stan stray kids"
It makes me feel hurt to see these types of comments. That are coming from different fandoms and from Stay.
Even though Chan was making a joke, it still hurt other people. Some people were saying that maybe it was a mistranslation. But it is not fully confirmed yet.
I'm really hurt by all these comments. Chan just went through the braid and racism stuff and now some more shit is going to be thrown at him.
I'm not choosing sides because I know some people who suffer from depression. But at the same time, it was a joke. It's not like Chan meant what he said.
Don't attack him. Please.
you antis and fake-stays need to get your heads out of your asses and realize that this wasn't chan's decision. his hair style during that performance was because of the stylists, not him. you all jump on his ass over everything and anything, and it I've how much of an angel he is.
I get how controversial this is, if he had actually chosen that (which he didnt), then being ypset makes sense. but this is not the case.
chan has shown time and time again that he wouldn't make that kind of choice purposefully, so either stop being ignorant, or get the fuck out of this fandom because we don't want you here.
