Mork vs August

Based on the limited information that we have on August so far I have some thoughts.

August seems like a self-centered, demanding, and impatient person. He's stubborn and will not hide his resentment if things don't go according to his plan. That's why he's not someone you can rely on in a difficult situation.

Mork is someone who used to be unreliable. He's trying so hard to do better because in his head his lack of responsibility leads to horrible consequences for the people he loves.

However, I feel like this moment is not so much about Day being in a love triangle, but rather about Day being forced to choose between his old life and his new one. He can hold onto his familiar past or let go of it and take a step towards the uncertain misty future.

Had he never lost his sight it would have probably taken Day quite a long time and suffering to let go of this crush. They might have even gotten together at some point, but he wouldn't have been happy, because August seems like a person who always puts himself first.

August is not the right person for him, because he will always make Day feel incomplete, while Mork will find joy in making him feel bigger than the whole sky.
