Hello, I'm just a humble reader of hermit coffee and co. And i just finish reading the latest chapter and i got to say. Boy this thing gonna end in disaster one way or another. So let's talk about the elephant on the room, Mumbo and Scott being rebounds for each others. This relationship between them is a fickle thing, it's temporary. It won't last forever. Heck it might even ended before it last long. I fear that this two might destroy whatever friendship or relationship forming between them and might affect the others about it. Think about the two of them acknowledge this agreement between them. Scott is attempting to heal from his and jimmy's former romantic relationship while mumbo is well trying filled the jealousy and heartbreak he felt over his crush Grian who is dating his other best friend scar. And this rebound relationship between them is gonna well.. unhealthy and toxic in the future? eh who knows. I only could theorize at this point. But hey I'm excited about the other characters reaction about this rebound relationship happening between Mumbo and Scott aside from Joel who knows already and Tango. Anyway keep it up author.

However, they're being super careful and communicative with each other. They both know the other is working through feelings and they've been honest about where they stand in this ~situationship~ they're in now.

They're both adults and they both know it won't be forever. It is a temporary thing to help them both move past their feelings for others.

Rebound has a super negative connotation, but for this situation in particular, it doesn't have to be.

I understand that it's to be expected that a rebound relationship is going to blow up and that things are going to go wrong and people will get hurt, but understand that this is already two people who are hurting already and this is simply having someone else to call on and have fun with while they wait for time to heal them.

They're being safe. Neither wants to get hurt again or hurt the other.
