as you served your last customer, you grabbed your bag and went to the employee bathroom to change out of your uniform. finally, the long day had ended and you were ready to get home so you could start binge watching a new drama.

"bye y/n!"

"bye mrs.seo!" you waved goodbye to your boss and walked out of the small cafe, only to find yourself standing in the rain. it wasn't raining heavily, so you figured you could still manage the 15 minute walk back to your apartment.

but unfortunately for you, the rain only got harder as you cursed at yourself for wearing heels to work today. deciding it'd be better to wait it instead of getting soaked in the rain, you stood under a covered entryway to a convince store. in the crowded streets stood other people, only they had umbrellas.

there's no doubt you tried squeezing yourself under someone else's, but every time you tried they'd always move away. leaving you to get wet then run back under the covering. by now you were decently wet and just wanted to get home.

this time trying a different approach, you looked around to see if anyone looked nice enough to lend you their umbrella. but as soon as you looked up, a certain someone caught your eye. yes, you were soaking wet and needed to get home,but that didn't stop you from staring at the attractive guy who happened to not have an umbrella.

his hair was tinted pink, fairly tall, and a jawline that looked like it could cut through bread. a small yelp a couple feet in front of you knocked you out of your trance. from what you saw, a woman had accidentally let go of her umbrella and it was just in reach for you, so of course you rushed to grab it.

normally you'd return it, but the woman had abandoned the idea of getting it back and ran across the street to avoid getting wet, leaving it all to you. at least that's what you thought before someone else hand landed on top of yours once you grabbed the stranded umbrella.

your eyes trailed up the persons arm, and your eyes widened once they reached the brown eyes you saw not to long ago.

"uh, can you let go." his voice was surprisingly deeper than you thought, but that didn't stop your eyebrows from raising at his sudden offensiveness.

"excuse me?"

"i said can you let go." he replied tugging the umbrella towards him.

you tugged it back towards yourself responding with "no, i kinda need this. if you didn't notice." referencing to your soaked clothes.

"yeah well so do i." he said making his wet clothes obvious too.

"well i need it more,so thank you." you said pulling the umbrella over your head making him let go and stumble towards the ground. you felt him staring at you as you stood there with your shoulders high. just when you began to walk, he moved himself underneath the umbrella with you.

"since we both need it, we'll both use it." he said turning himself to face you. you squinted at him before muttering to yourself.

"why are the hot ones always assholes." 

"you think i'm hot?" he stated putting his hand over his heart. a light pink tint dusted your checks before denying what you had just said.

"you think i'm gonna share an umbrella with a stranger?" you asked taking a couple steps back from the tall man.

"well, this is a strangers umbrella, it's pouring right now and we both have places to be. so how much worse can it get." as soon as he finished his sentence the rain got heavier. you rolled your eyes, wishing you could just be home already.

"don't worry about it." you said walking out from underneath the umbrella, taking the sidewalk home. after a couple minutes you heard foot steps behind you,but didn't turn around in fear of being murdered.

the door steps only got faster as you walked quicker to get home.

"excuse me!" you stopped at the familiar voice and turned around, your wet hair slapping you in the face.

"um,sorry if i scared you. i felt bad when you walked away, the most i can do is walk you wherever you're going." he said standing closer to you so the umbrella covered you both.

you looked down at the ground and questioned wether you wanted a stranger to walk you home, but at this point you just wanted to get home and dry off as soon as possible.

"thank you, how should i repay you?" you said looking up at him.

"no need, i'm jaehyun." he replied sticking his hand out in front of you with a small smile on his face, dimples showing.

"i'm y/n." you said as you stepped forward, him following a couple seconds after.

"if you don't mind, where are you heading?" he asked running his hand through his wet hair.

"home, you?" you ask while looking down, trying to match your foot steps with his.

"no where specific,just on a walk." he suddenly stopped walking, leaving you to step out from underneath the umbrella.

"hey!-"

"why don't you come with me?" he asked hovering the umbrella back over you two. "i mean unless you have something important to do at home."

now that you think about it, watching that new drama could wait. why not go on an adventure with a handsome stranger.

"sure." and with that, you and jaehyun turned around walking the opposite direction.
